PIG

Incredible visuals. Incredible sound. Bad ass music with really cool ideas. But horrible writing. It’s all in the writing. With out good writing shows or film just fall flat, for me anyway. But! More importantly, let’s see what the guys say at the end of this :)

Kosh Naranek

Jeff Bridges is, and always will be, The Dude

Doctor Pulaski

I’m excited for this if only to hear the soundtrack again.

startrekiborg

No, I remember thinking the de-aging sucked when I saw it.

PIG

Did you listen to the NIИ soundtrack too? If so, nay or yay, doctor?

Doctor Pulaski

No PIG, I haven’t seen Tron Aries yet. I’m fairly positive on NIN in general, but much more of a Daft Punk fan, so big shoes to fill. It’s on my list… (I do really love the Social Network soundtrack…).

Lt Dan I Scream

Jeff Bridges cant help but being super granola. I can imagine the face movement was hard since Jeff has weird facial ticks. all in all I think it was a fun movie. thanks again guys

tyranusfan

It was atrocious even on the theater screen.

I loved this movie. I rewatched the original before it came out, and I was pretty bored, but this one grabbed me. The father-son story does it for me, and I loved the look of the world. Plus, I was a huge Bruce Boxleitner fan from the Babylon 5 days, so he was a plus.

I haven't seen Ares, so this is no spoiler. There was a lot of buzz about a sequel to this, even a few web skits featuring the cast teasing the return of Sam to the company, and they had plans for Cilian Murphy's character. Then, apparently, Disney lost a ton of money on that stupid George Clooney movie (Tomorrowland), and they cancelled the Tron sequel because this one (while popular) was not a blockbuster and they didn't want to lose any more money on high concept movies.

Paul

Incredible visuals and soundtrack in this movie. It's fun, but not very deep. Which is okay. Also, Olivia Wilde in that skintight outfit, good lord almighty... I think I just have a thing for tight fits on women lol.

Joe J

All the Tron movies have lost money, the new one is a very expensive flop for Disney. The audience was just never there for these films.

Joe J

Skintight outfits...no women I know can pull that look off...😉😆

PIG

I utterly loved the Daft Punk version. Being a Nails fan (it’s where my username comes from) I love it too. lol tell me if you ever listen to it so I can an objective opinion:)

Marcus BlueSky

I like this one very much. It's not the best movie in the world but I like it for great visuals, great music and improved continuation of the first. But I liked also the first part due to it being visually totally different at that time. Never saw something like in part one before as a child. So it has a special place in my heart for childhood memories. The second in improved version in modern times and for me it hit the point at that time. Your critics and opinions are correct IMHO. Without the connection to childhood I guess I would come to the same conclusion. Thanks for picking up these two and making it through.

Edweirdo

I still like the first one better. I find this one to have great visuals and I like the games part, but otherwise, it was just boring.

Caleb

Jeff Bridges' jokes aren't too much and sprinkle just the right amount of humor throughout. While the story is decent, this movie is perfection in terms of audio and visual experience coming together. There aren't too many other movies where the soundtrack is so good that it becomes a "character."

Bantha Fodder

The original was absolutely groundbreaking for the story idea and visuals. Just needed better writing. The second was just a fun romp. And you kind of did get a second bike scene, just with those fighter jet things.

Not sure if you guys are aware, but this movie has a gimmick similar to “The Wizard of Oz”…in that film, everything is in black and white until Dorothy opens her front door after landing and reveals Oz to be in color. In “Tron: Legacy”, the entire first act is in 2-D and as soon as Sam lands in the video game world, the film switches to 3-D! I still own a 3-D television and it’s one of the reasons I love to watch the 3-D Blu Ray of “Legacy”! That and the awesome Daft Punk soundtrack! And Jeff Bridges as Flynn channeling The Dude with his “You’re messing with my Zen thing, man!” Damn, I love this movie! 😂

E Parhas

He got to see his son for a day, but had to give it all up....just like he said he'd want

E Parhas

Gonna be honest, her acting was never what I was paying attention to when Olivia Wilde was on screen lol

E Parhas

The Tron Uprising cartoon is aimed at kids but is really good and fleshes out the lore of Kevin Flynn's grid

Paul

Exactly...
