Guys, regarding Deanna's test in "Thine Own Self". Deanna's rank was what is called a "Commissioned Officer". She was in a position of authority, but not allowed to directly oversee crew or operations. She was not in the chain of command. Commissioned Officers are staff officers or specialized positions (like Councilor in TNG) that support the command structure without being in direct command of crew. By taking this test she advances from a Commissioned Officer to a Field Officer and so now IS in the chain of command. Beverly has obviously long-since taken that test. We have seen her in command. To use a TOS example Dr. McCoy outranks Scotty, but if Kirk and Spock are not on board Scotty is next in the chain of command (then Sulu, Uhura, etc).

Two things: 1. Can you put up a Vod of the Patreon exclusive character tierlist as there’s no way to currently watch it after the fact 2. A massive reason DS9 really took off in season 3 is because Berman officially no longer gave a shit about DS9 because Voyager as the flagship show to a brand new network got all of his attention so Ira Steven Behr took over as the showrunner.

I routinely binge TNG, DS9 and Voyager once a year, but a number of episodes sometimes when alone you want to skip, watching them with reactors the last year has made them more acceptable, might not watch 30 episodes on my own in a binge any more but will watch them with reactors, it is like seeing them new
