Your episode opinions are questionable, lol joking, but someone in Hollywood should be hiring you to do trailers.

Sam Langanke

I knew it! The only question was if Josh had the time.

misti-step

"they do trailers of episodes they like" "they do trailers of episodes they like and dislike" i think they just enjoy editing trailers 😅

Todd

It seems like you are liking this season so far then.

Ryan

I don’t know how you guys are sustaining this pace with the trailers, but I’m not complaining. Another great one.

ShazD

Never forget the betrayal of the Blood Oath trailer lmao

Ashley Sigmon

This is an episode where the concept is kind of stupid but man do they pull it off. IMO.

alexander hall

We are 5 for 5 on trailer for ds9 season 3 will we go 26/26 we shall we. Don't think any season of star trek so far has had this strong a start of episodes

Ross Townsend

Hope you guys are enjoying that DS9 reverted to episodic after your worries of serialized "everything is dominion" stories. Even more hope you are enjoying that everyone has weird pasts and everything has consequences to their world.

Matchstick Jose

"Josh, get some sun.” “No sun. Trailers… only trailers.”

Rick McCombs

I know they said they're taking a break but apparently they're watching stuff on patreon when are we going to see it on YouTube? Also I thought they were watching Chaos on the Bridge soon.

BN13

They took their break back in November/December. They're watching again right now. YouTube edits should be out in February.

Sam Langanke

They watched Chaos on the Bridge. Shoud go to YT soon.

Joe J

I've noticed many weeks can pass until Star Trek episode reactions make it to YT. The X-Files is posted weekly.

Vexx

Lots of trailers for this season so far. Is this a good sign? S2 and s1 only got a couple?

jon bolton

Roll on Saturday i can't wait to find out what you think of this. I know it's common for O'Brien to suffer, but i think most of them do each season, certainly Kira. I didn't used to be a huge fan of this episode about 20 years ago, but loved it when i watched it about a month ago. I'm pretty sure you will both love it too. I've not yet seen your reaction to this obviously, or the previous one but i predict based on the first 5 episodes you will both be feeling more confident at this now being your main show.

Evan Guthrie

You guys enjoying the proper start of DS9 I take it?

Numinous2019

Josh said (at start of January) that the first YouTube DS9 video would be scheduled for the end of January.

Numinous2019

Visitor, like Robinson, found the Cardassian make-up very claustrophobic. Maybe she drew on this for Kira's mental spiral.

Naglfarius

Second Skin? More like second Trailer this Week!

Doctor Pulaski

The precedent was set when Troi got Romulanized. There should be word for getting kidnapped and being surgically altered into a different species...

Fire and Bloodwine

Yes but this works better than the Troi episode for a number of reasons.

Phenomenon (Doo - Dooo - Dah - Doo - Doo)

One detail about the Cardassians that they made sure to include, but never point out -- All Cardassian women have the "forehead spoon" colored blue while the men do not. I can't think of any other Star Trek species that has a similar gender distinction

Randy Watson

I upgraded my membership for season 3, staying for the trailers...

Axis 77

I always assumed it wasn't actually a physical characteristic, but an in-canon make-up application choice by the females. Eyeliner, lipstick, spoonshadow. But now I doubt that because I don't think the first thing and abducted, surgically altered-Kira would do is apply a full face of makeup...

Axis 77

Also, Ferengi females' lobes are notably smaller than the males. 😉

Miranda

Ooh, very nice trailer! It was very good at capturing the tension

sword bard

Picturing Josh as the guy in the Trill cave. "I miss sunlight ... but if I don't keep making trailers, they get cranky..."

paultardspambot .

I know this is weird, but does anyone else think the female cardassian looks is pretty... sexy?

paultardspambot .

I'm thinking they will like this one. As opposed to the Dominon, they seem to like the Cardassian stuff, and this is the kind of good acting/character based msytery they should enjoy, plus Garak being Garak.

paultardspambot .

They used to do them for episodes they really liked, but more recently for episodes where they thought they could make a good trailer, and it seems like they're on a roll with it.

paultardspambot .

Youtube stuff has been on a long delay, I think going back to when there channel got suspended or demonetized for a while. But maybe they also want to avoid too many spoilers which are apparently common on youtube. That delay I'm referring to when the channel was an issue was when I signed up for the patreon

paultardspambot .

I'm still a bit worried that Alex specifically seems to really not like the idea of the Dominion and the more "epic" plots and will have an initial bad reaction if a Dominion plot comes up because "oh no, the plot and its serious"

paultardspambot .

very much so. Like, if youre given the basic premise, it sounds ridiculous. But the great twist is it supposed to be ridiculous. Kira never buys it for a second and that was why they choose her (and that she apparantly was the right age and sort of resembled his daughter, though i wonder if they messed with his memories as well a bit)

paultardspambot .

At some point they should do a "Jake's shirts" video

tyranusfan

Got a thing for lizard women? :D

JordanK1991

Plain....simple, awesome!

HeatheЯ

Okay maybe there's no sun, but I was in Ohio years ago and I got this... Buckeye Latte? omg... it was the best thing ever, it still haunts me to this day that I may never have a latte like that tasty experience again. (also you guys have great haunted houses in Oct)

David Kirk

Josh has his YouTube channels as his primary job now.

Ryan

Okay, that makes more sense. I'm still impressed, though.

Fire and Bloodwine

Doesn't Alex like Halo? I always saw the Covenant in Halo as heavily inspired by the Dominion. They're like the dark mirror of the Federation, the ultimate villain of the political side of Star Trek. They just gotta see how the Dominion plays into the already established DS9/Trek story thus far and pushes it forward.

John Gensert

I know they like Kira, but I hope as the show goes on they start giving her more props. By the end of the show it becomes very clear that she is the best character on DS9

Summer

So my first watch this episode was a b, it has moved up to a low a it will be exciting to see you guys see it

Fire and Bloodwine

The show just hasn't delved deep into the Vorta or Jem'Hadar enough yet. The Changelings have a good connection to Odo obviously but we don't know enough about the other species yet. It's still early. So I get it.

Rick McCombs

They have time to make trailers. They said they would be watching Chaos on the Bridge, I wonder when the reaction to it will be on YouTube.

Monarch Black

That's a spoilery comment type they said they don't like. It doesn't give direct spoiler, but sets them up to be looking out for something.

Laura Thornley

Banger after banger so far this season. I hope you continue to enjoy!

Miranda

That's not even true. We've already met both Garak and Dukat!

Edweirdo

Jeeze, spoilers! I haven't watched the episode yet.

Somethingaboutthat .DarkNightDS

This episode is extremely well acted by everyone. The twist at the end, with the episode ending on a high note is counter to how most DS9 episodes end so it’s a really nice change. Garak revealing more of himself is also a nice treat.

Philbot

I was googling Nana and her family because I was curious, but I fell down a rabbit hole. 😂 At first I saw Sid’s (Siddig El Fadil) uncle Malcolm McDowell’s son Charlie. & I was like hey he’s hot! But then I saw that Phil Collins is his father in law he’s married to Lily Collins! So now I hate him because he married my girl! 😆 I’m a complicated man 🧐

jon bolton

Bloody Cardassians! (I need to work on my Irish accent) 😂 i'll just call them spoonheads instead.

jon bolton

I'm around the same rank as you high B or low A.

jon bolton

Yeah we were both right because of the surprise reveal as i thought, of it being the Legate they wanted and nothing to do with Kira. I know they like to be surprised at the end in a good way.

jon bolton

To Cardassia Prime? As much as i love stories about Cardassians, personally give me a week on Risa anytime... Ideally just not the same week Picard and Vash went there, right Josh?😂

TalynOne

Ira Steven Behr is a huge TV nerd. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of TV character actors and because of that he used that knowledge to hire the best one off and guest characters of any Trek.
