Ross Townsend

This is gonna be a blast to watch.

Summer

Many don’t like this episode but I always have, sure it has elements I useally dislike but it is fun, Keiko is back, and we maybe don’t fully see,but it can be intuited that Lwexana really cared enough about Odo to come when she thought he would be sad, too bad about the fever. Great trailer. I also like the gratitude festival idea, its about time we get celebrations.

Sir, This is A Quark's.

There ought to be an OVER/UNDER on the amount of "What?!"s these guys say for this episode. I put it at 9.5.

Doctor Pulaski

S Tier for Bariel getting clocked by Jadzia alone. Also Sisko is straight up Kirk in this, the only one who keeps his shit together and remains unaffected.

Lost Monk

I think I missed this one during the original run of the show. I think I will miss it again.

Siva

Oh god this one. Maybe my opinion on it will improve after seeing the reaction?

Starquake

I think this is where the streak of bangers dies

Somethingaboutthat .DarkNightDS

I can’t stand this episode. Only one I skip on rewatches of season 3. That said, I have a feeling Josh and Alex enjoyed it. It’s so bad it’s good kind of thing. I forgot Avery directed it. This episode has a very theatre like feel to it which is not surprising given his years of theatre work. Probably the best part of the episode is the direction.

Doctor Pulaski

8.5 - no shock to these guys Jake digs older women

Ryan K

Goofy-ass episode, I kind of love it. Majel/Lwaxana used to annoy me a ton when she showed up but now it just feels nice to see her here chewing the scenery and driving everyone crazy.

Doctor Pulaski

Haters gonna hate. Let us enjoy our comedy farces!

Zenlike Creature

Ah, yes. I've been keeping an eye on the episode list waiting for this one. That streak you guys have been enjoying so far... well, let's see what you think at the end of this episode. I have mixed feelings about it. I guess it depends on my mood but I never skip it. In fact, I don't think I can think of an episode from Season Three onwards that I do skip. Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Ayomide Bennett

I didn’t realize until you mentioned that. Kirk’s love for his ship and crew is the same love Sisko has for the station and all the work they are doing on Bajor.

Sam Langanke

I never understood why this episode is considered 'bad'. It's great fun.

BN13

I used to hate this one with a passion, even considering it the worst of the series. But it's grown on me over the years. My problem with it was actually the Keiko/O'Brien plot. For a long time, I couldn't stand Keiko in this. Then I got married and I realized that I WAS Keiko. These scenes show what an actual marriage can be like sometimes. Sometimes what you each need is at odds, and each person power struggles in order to get their needs expressed and met. Both people are both in the right and in the wrong, and both overreact, get over emotional, or shut the other out. Sometimes getting back on the same page is a messy process. I really appreciate this show for showing something real like the power struggle phase of relationships. Instead of doing what most sitcoms of the time did by just focusing on the thrill of the chase with all of the "will they/won't they" stuff, or sometimes the honeymoon phase where they both worship each other. It's rare that you find a show that tries to show the real ups and downs, and joys and struggles of an actual marriage without it being overly dramatized.

Darren

The beauty of Star Trek you can have action, intrigue and surprise reveals in one episode then a good old fashioned comedy farce and both enjoyable. Nice stuff for the O’Briens too

Jiri Luza

Love soundtrack!

Doctor Pulaski

The O’Brien drama is some real shit in this. It might hit you where you live.

mike

WT?!? I don’t remember this episode but it looks crazy in a good way lol

Meanwhile, in Space....

This. My wife and I kinda low key love watching this episode for all the reasons you say. We just cackle at the screen as we recognize ourselves and some of the days we've had.

Meanwhile, in Space....

This is actually one of my favorite Cirroc Lofton performances. His line read of "Eh it won't last!" cracks me up every time. Kira could do a lot worse for sure.

Who North America

ABBA and Star Trek... I didn't know how much I needed that!

Summer

I particularly like his “I will go…but I won’t have fun.”

International Man of Leisure

I always considered Keiko as representing deployed military spouses. The good, the bad, the struggles...lolw it or not, DS9 isn't shy about showing military families through the O'Brien's.

Numinous2019

There's a reason you don't remember it. It's very light weight despite Brooks making the most of the cameras and sets.

TinMan_7B9

.... fascinating. DS9's "Cost of Living" moment.

Naglfarius

Next Monday on Staar Trek! Will the Banger Streak continue or is it: "all hands abandon Ship!" When the Phasers are set to fun! (When someone can enjoy this Episode it's you Guys, i have hope)

Sir, This is A Quark's.

I love it because Keiko and O'Brien have just real marriage stories. Manage work, separate careers, parenting, enjoying personal time, your husband being pocessed by a ghost crimnal, your wife's school being bombed by religious zealots, your husband maybe being replaced by an assassin, your husband being fake killed by a gov't plot as a preemptive strike, and that question that comes up in all marriages... "should we trade our daughter to this leprecain to save over 1000 lives?" ... Ya know. Real stuff. [Relax, I only referenced episodes they saw.] But seriously, I like that Miles and Keiko seem like a real marriage in Trek.

Dark Kronis

O'Brien thought he escaped the enterprise without suffering from Lwexana, but she comes for all eventually

Naglfarius

Not gonna lie, this is one of your best Trailers, i love it.

Philbot

I love this ep! It’s like a bawdy French farce.

Matchstick Jose

Nice try, Target Audience. But a more appropriate title for this episode, IMO, is “Cringe.”

reactive1

This actually made me want to watch this episode again… amazing.

Ian Westcott

I liked it. Is it cringe? Yes, but it should be. Can't be dour all the time!

Forbidden Donut

Imagine buying a ticket in 1994 to see 'Generations', and it was this.

sword bard

The entire rest of the episode could be an E and it would still be worth it just for the Lwaxana/Odo interactions. Comedy gold every time.

A Plain and Simple Tailor

Awesome trailer for a fun and silly episode that is a much better done version of Naked Now since we already know the characters and basing it on old Shakespeare lets actory actors have fun

Groovybaboon

Banger of a trailer! I really like this episode, glad it got the target audience trailer treatment!

Summer

If my brain had been operating in standard parameters when leaving a patreon take I would have asked what you think Morn put on his scroll

Jack Molitor

ABBA, let’s fucking gooooo Great music choice

CRS

The hearts in the letters! LOL Love it, guys!

Sunny

Song choice is perfection 😂

Miranda

Wow, I can't believe you guys are doing a trailer for every episode. And by "you guys" I mean Josh. I deeply appreciate your effort on these. They are so fun! Love the song choice here. This is a silly episode. I find that whether I enjoy this or not is based on my mood at the time. I'm having a miserable January, so perhaps a strong dose of silliness is what I need. Interested to hear your thoughts!

jon bolton

Even though this is an episode i love, because it's largely a comedy one, this is one of only about 4 i predict you won't be huge fans of this Season. I don't mean because of the comedy, you've loved light hearted ones before. I know there are still some moments you'll like though, but i bet you hate Bareil more than usual here, personally i think it's his best episode so far, maybe that's just because Dax punches him😂 I will say this is my favourite Season of Star Trek you've watched so far, and i've been watching you since TOS, but it's definitely not my favourite Season of DS9.

jon bolton

Someone as talkative as him, it must have been about a million words.

Sam Langanke

"Comedy isn't about comfort—it's about disturbance, disruption, and occasionally, utter silliness.” — John Cleese.

Jay Field

I think for most people, this one is considered bad simply for the fact that Lwaxana is a very divisive "love her or hate her" character for a lot of people, and damn near EVERYONE hates Vedek Bariel as much as TA does! **LOL** Put those two factors together, and you get a formula for a majority of viewers disliking the episode purely on principle, no matter how fun it actually is. Which isn't fair, 'cuz I do like this one, but I can also understand why so many don't.

Cranky Grandma

I recall hating this. But after seeing this trailer I went back and watched. It was cringe but funny cringe. I agree with those saying “this is how you do the naked now”. The actor who plays Bariel was quite good at comedy! It’s the only time I haven’t found him to creepy to watch. Cirroc was great in this, as was Terry Farrell. I may have written a Take saying how awful this was (don’t remember if I posted) but if I did, I’ll retract it!
