Phenomenon (Doo - Dooo - Dah - Doo - Doo)

Terrific acting from everyone, Kai Winn at her most odious and self-serving, the death of Vedek Cardboard *AND* the director of "Past Tense Part 1 & 2"?? What more can anyone ask for? Just give it all the awards and elevate it to the S-est of S-tiers

Kaleigh

C for “contract ender” 💀

Badger

It's like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife....

Scott in Scotland

Pour one out for Bareil. And by that I mean his urine bag after they whisk the body to ore processing.

Summer

Nog and Jake are the best

Scott in Scotland

This one is one of those that is best when you first watch it due to the surprise but in memory is just "that one where Bareil dies" . It's much better than just that but it is surrounded, followed and overwhelmed by so much quality it is hard to remember it's actually a decent B. Both Nana Visitor and your boy Nog unbelievably follow this one with insanely strong performances next time out. Easy to overlook.

Oh one more thing for end of season tier listing if there is time.... QUESTION - If this episode is/was a work, and just a way to make Bareil our new FACE OF THE PROPHETS in his wormhole afterlife. If we have to have him come back in later seasons and be in all future prophet interactions, how would you feel about the episode in retrospect?

Emodramabomb

He went full cardboard. You NEVER go full cardboard.

Crewman #6

Surprised by the high grading, a B from me. As nice as the end of the Nog/Jake story was, man that date was uncomfortable. And well. Bareil and diplomacy ain't all that interesting. It's lifted by all our people just being great at being them.
