TC Green

If they didn’t love these episodes I am going to write a very strongly worded letter to my Congressman.

Species 5618

Another great trailer... chills... one of my all time favorite two parter of the entire franchise

Matt Hansen

I love that you guys have such thoughtful and well thought out opinions. You’ve even made me reconsider some of my positions on certain episodes. That being said, if somehow these episodes aren’t to your liking…I don’t know, I may have to eat my iPhone. 😂 All kidding aside, can’t wait!

Noonian

I have been waiting for this one!!!! S Tier all the way. Great job!

Matthew Aaron Leibner

I am so looking forward to your thoughts as the seasons keep coming. I have loved this series since day one.

Collin Freeman

Wow! Sign me up! I'd watch whatever it is on an overseas flight with obnoxious teen-agers.

Matthew Ganz

Excellent song choice! Also, Ira did stuff 😁

ImageMaker

Are we sure you not getting paid by Paramount for these trailers ? If not you should be.

TheSisko

Hope you liked this one/ that trailer is EPIC!!!!!

Forbidden Donut

My favorite two episodes of the season. Nice!

THE LORE!!!

The music... Is this a very dramatic version of Paint It Black?

Matt Hansen

Also, I’m starting to feel bad for Ira and Robert. When I’m watching the episodes in advance before your shows come out and I see their names, I’m just like “oh man, the guys are already gonna be in a bad mood” 🤣😂 Kidding, kidding. All in good fun. They DID write Heart of Stone though, you can’t always judge a book by its cover. They also write some of my favorite future episodes too, so fingers always crossed.

Louis Bradbury

I'm looking forward to this so much! I love these two episodes.

Ryan

Holy shit, framing the trailer with that “boy who cried wolf” exchange. Brilliant. If I hadn’t seen DS9 before, I would assume this was an actual movie. You’ve got me all kinds of pumped.

Jonathan Bruser

The fault, dear viewers, is not in our stars, but in not subscribing to Target Audience's Patreon!

Chris Moe

Cool! This is when DS9 really begins! 🤣

Matchstick Jose

Looking forward to the 30-minute discussion of just the final mirror shot.

Dipper

"I'm sure Ira did stuff too." :) I love - love love LOVE - how much attention Josh and Alex pay attention to the people behind the camera. I'm getting the masterclass I never knew I needed about this show.

Matt Hansen

Awwww, the dissing of Ira/Robert is soul crushing 🫠😂 #JusticeForIra #JusticeForRobert ✊😜

Paul O'Neal

To quote Anakin Skywalker, "This is where the fun begins." Boy, these two episodes kick things into high gear, don't they? Great trailer, Josh!

Matchstick Jose

“I’m sure IRA did stuff too.” Me trying to figure out my taxes.

KR Thompson

Ooh, excellent trailer. I love the music choice and the dialogue of Bashir’s cry wolf discussion with Garak! Otherwise… There were some aspects of these episodes that I really liked, and other aspects that fell pretty flat for me. I know I’m in the minority opinion; I’ll be very curious to see what y’all thought of it, hah.

Breakingthenotion

I’m glad you’re watching these two episodes together.

Steven Johnson

I suppose this is where I say "Now Deep Space Nine begins" But that would be a lie. It doesn't begin for seven more seasons. Well done on this edit, Josh. This two parter may be my... Well, certainly in my top five for Deep Space Nine. I vividly remember the previews playing for it over and over on TV back in the 90s. "So much for the Dominion..!"

Godzilla PhD

Bravo! That must have been a fun trailer to cut together.

JStrong

The fault, dear Tain, lies not in our stars, but in ourselves. Let's fucking go.

JStrong

I have been thinking for months about how nuts they're going to go for that scene.

Shayne

Fantastic Trailer! As I've been rewatching the series, I feel like this moment is a turning point similar to Season 3 of TNG. The show has already "begun", but this is the point where things begin to move in a direction that begins "the" era of DS9 I think many of us hold so close to our hearts. Break out the popcorn boys - there are many, many great moments to come!

Banes

Nice! ALAMA-frikkin-RAIN! it'll catch on.

Sharpeslass

Waiting for these to drop is going to be hellish for me. This is my 2nd favourite two-parter in DS9 (and Trek in general), and these episodes cemented the show as my favourite Trek forevermore. As an OG TOS gal (I grew up on nightly reruns), I never much took to Next Gen (largely because of its derivative first season). DS9 marked my return to trek-geekdom with a fanatical frenzy. Back then, the cons were reasonably priced, and access to the actors MUCH more easily attained. (It was an excellent decade during which to be a Trek groupie. 🤭) So many of the actors were lovely to us. Marc Alaimo spent six hours of his own time drinking and chatting with us pool-side, at a con in Vegas. He completely belied the whole "never meet your heroes" trope. Wish I could say the same for all of them, but I definitely cannot. Most of them were great, however, and as a Garak fangirl, it was wonderful how kind A. Robinson was to us! I'd have been crushed if he'd been snide and arrogant like a few other reccuring cast members (whom you've not yet met). Robert O'Reilly and J.G. Hertzler (Gowron and Martok) were also an utter delight, who spent three hours (also off the clock) hanging out in a hotel bar with my friend and me. TLDR: I'm just over-excited to finally be a patron; as a (failed) film major, I enjoy your insights and observations, even on the rare occasions that I disagree with you. Keep it up!!! 💕

David Kirk

It's simply marvelous! Garak vs Odo is an S!

Loot Narsbaar

I hope it's as good as the last two parter!

Laura Thornley

I'm saying nothing. Bar - bring on next week!

JB

Yus, my favorites of the season.

reactive1

This is what I’ve been waiting for!!!

JoeCensored

Possibly the best 2 parter in Trek.

Scott Woodward

I wouldn't say DS9 has arrived because this is late in a pretty solid season of episodes. But this might be their Best of Both Worlds episode, although some folks would contend that that happens in later seasons. I guess we will see when the time comes.

Rangsk

"Don't tell the same lie twice" so perfectly encapsulates the enigma that is Garak.

Aston Marton Valhalla BBC DP Edition

Incredibly excited for this reaction! I have clear memories watching this two parter when it came out and how shocking it was.

Actuarial Lurker

Don't mislead the Patrons about whether or not you liked an episode with your trailers in the same way twice....

Matt Hansen

I’m being silly. But what a burn lol.

Me, Myself and I

For me, the "boy who cried wolf" exchange between Garak and Bashir is one of the best Trek moments of all, and I can't even say that I disagree with Garak's interpretation! It doesn't surprise me that you picked it out for the trailer. Also, my list of favorite Trek characters is always in a state of flux, but for the most part, I have to say that Garak is probably my favorite of all, and this set of episodes is pretty much what seals that deal for me.

KingPin124

Awwwww…shit. I think they hated it…

Miranda

Yes, these are the two episodes that hooked me. Turned the show into MUST WATCH.

Miranda

Yes! I'm so excited! I love these two episodes! I love Garak, what a fantastic character. Garak and Odo is a dream pairing of characters. Thanks for doing this one! Also, I know it is a gag, but wow, justice for Rene Echevarria! He only gets a tag at the end? I do believe you boys are biased!

Groovybaboon

Oh shit. ALAMA-frikkin-RAIN! I'm in

Scott in Scotland

They like part one, they hate part two maybe methinks.

Groovybaboon

ALAMA-Freakin'-RAIN this was a good trailer! (Credit to Banes if this catches on!)

Tom

God damn I'm hyped!

The Ninth Doctor

Cannot. Wait. For this one to drop... Are they releasing as one reaction?

Summer

Everything they do in this episode is great, I do wish we could have had Jake, Nog, Keiko and more O’Brien though but you don’t think about it till its ofer

Jim

I don't see the most important line of the second half highlighted.

Darren

Great trailer - this aired as a one episode in the Uk and should hav3 had this level of marketing.

Raphael Gaytan

I’ve often said that Garak is my favorite character of DS9! There has been lots to find intriguing about him up to this point, but these two episodes officially sealed the deal for me! Excellent trailer as always, guys! The Star Trek marketing machine sure would have benefited from your talents at the time! 🖖

THE Fans

Take my $13 and give me a $20 bucket of popcorn because I want to see this "movie" in a theater! I think I'll watch this trailer a 3rd time. And a 4th. And a... you know.

Sam Langanke

No Enabran Tain in the trailer. Interesting choice. Just like Thomas Riker in the Defiant one.

Spencer Loften

You went hard as fuck with this one Josh.

TinMan_7B9

I hear a rad score, and I'll watch it back to back. Epic trailer from the creators of Target Audience. (I'm sure Josh did stuff too)

Banes

maybe using it once a year is right for that one. Like a Lwaxana episode.

MartyMc

His arm is....

Remi Samson

Damn, the trailer is freaking awesome... probably means they hated it. 😂🖖

Ricardo

Whenever Garak needs a Runabout, shits about to go down!

William Roberts

"a two-part EVENT" could this have potential to be y'alls favorite two parter?

Fire and Bloodwine

They write many more good episodes too. That isn't a spoiler.

Randy Watson

wow....this trailer just got me so hyped for this rewatch.... this is legit your best one yet!

Dan J Reid

I do like it when there's no "part 1," in the title, because it means an end of episode freakout is incoming!

Fire and Bloodwine

Buy the limited edition "Odo's Popcorn Bucket" for $60

Fire and Bloodwine

This is one of those part 2 lives up to and surpasses part 1 IMO

Who North America

I racked my brain for all of 5 seconds and then finally declared, "PAINT IT BLACK!" Good job. And a great song choice!

JimmerVision

Specifically the Sebastian Bohm trailer remix if you're interested.

Starquake

That's not butter on the popcorn, that's Odo.

THE Fans

I'll have a Mountain Dew ... er, I mean, Romulan Ale also in the collector's cup with the pointy ears handle.

JordanK1991

Awesome trailer! The Founders approve.

Mark Wood

I fucking love Never tell the same lie twice. I’ve used that all time.

Mark Wood

Life lessons from Garek

Capture The Moment

Sick trailer! Hope you guys enjoyed it. Love the secret cloaked fleet that thomas riker was hinting at in defiant ep. Tain coming out of retirement just to get super re-retired lol. Rip tal shiar obsidian order...

John M.

Nice. Particularly like the handshake without revealing who it is.

Dead Hedge

“Chief how long is it gonna take to repair this ship” “Well 10 hours” “YOUVE GOT TWO!”

Summer

And we saw none of ot, that is the only sad thing

Somethingaboutthat .DarkNightDS

This is the reason the shows theme song is played using a trumpet, often used to signify war is coming or has passed.

Somethingaboutthat .DarkNightDS

One of my favourite guest actors in all of trek. His performances in the 3 episodes are just so perfect.

Somethingaboutthat .DarkNightDS

I happen to think both episodes are S tier, episode 2 definitely has the stand out performances but the intrigue in the first episode is just as good as those scenes in the second.

Man of Mini Tall Ants

Love the trailer and the episodes. Our favorite constable Odo, and our favorite tailor plain simple Garak, make this a fun watch.

Loot Narsbaar

1995 trailer: SO MUCH FOR THE DOMINION

Deliximus

Super trailer. A bit too much spoilers though

Deliximus

Come to Vancouver, BC. I'll put it up on the big screen for you. Probably use the AI 4k version.

Deliximus

My fave character of all Trek. So nuanced, it's incredible.

Deliximus

Well, the 6-parter beats it lol

Nostrum

if they had trailers lie this it would have doubled their ratings

HeatheЯ

"You blew up your own shop Garak!"

Captkirc

These were the episode’s the Trekspert guys said ‘wow they haven’t even seen Improbable Cause /The Die is Cast yet’ in response to you guys telling them that you really like season 3 so far. I can never tell if you guys are going to like something but these ones I think are so phenomenal that I’m cautiously optimistic it’s as close to a guaranteed S as we’re gonna get in Trek. It’s a really good sign that the Garak/Bashir Boy who cried wolf exchange gets such a prominent placement in the trailer.

J-Ro

Love the Stones cover and the weaving of dialogue, on rhythm, with those short strings. Great storytelling, too! Also, us starship lovers appreciate all the NCC-74205 love.

Summer

The cat….wants me to pet them….but I can’t…..

startrekiborg

They should've hired you in the 90s. Yea, you were a bit young, but that's just a technically.

Kt B

“I’m sure Ira did stuff too” 💀

Steve Krautkramer

Holy crap that was great! I can't wait to see Alex and Josh's reaction to these episodes.

Mr Moxie

"Mom made Shake and Bake!" Ira: "And I helped!"

Billy T. Riker

My favorite trailer so far... I can't wait to watch them now.
