I would have to say you are wrong about plumbers and neck ties but the time I thought I saw a neck tie on a plumber, turns out I was looking at a Plumber's Crack and he was wearing a G String... so I guess you are right.

I just love this episode. It's a solid horror premise: Bad seed! Evil twin! Romania/Carpathia/Transylvania! Then they absolutely deliver on it with fantastic direction (the pans! The zooms! The candlelight from below on the mom's face!) and music (the strings! The chimes that made me jump every time they came in!). We *even* got the '90s frame rate. Is it great as an X-File? Maybe, maybe not. But it's really fun TV. Great thing there was absolutely no one doing rounds at that hospital, huh?

Something I will say to look out for is that staircase. That hospital is ALL over television shows filmed in Vancouver. Apparently a retired psych ward that is used as a location. Not a spoiler, just trivia.

even the music wasn't my personal favorite compared to the freak show one, but even the music the average is a high bar, and it's delightful to know it's noticed :)

The coroner considered listing the mother's cause of death as "killed by 2 large cocks", then realized that might be misinterpreted and wrote down "heart attack" instead. This one is probably a low B for me. It's quite well executed and there are some good, freaky moments, but I'm just not all that invested in the subject matter personally. Also I don't give as much credit for being ballsy by killing a kid, because it was done in the most PG way possible. Dad dramatically screams "no", train goes by, balloon floats away. I get why, but it takes the edge off the scene. Also when they showed the mom falling after being levitated against the wall, that was either really bad CGI or a halloween puppet they dropped, because it looked all kinds of "off" to me. I will say that while I agree the kid's performance was not very good, I will give credit to the casting director for finding the creepiest looking kid to play Charlie. Hopefully he grew out of looking demon possessed.
