Good fun one and watching you two trying not to laugh at the start is hilarious

Next up I believe is "Slaver Weapon", which is . . . Brace yourselves, the first Star Trek adventure in which Kirk does not appear!

Liked this one :) I'm starting to notice the difference in storytelling quality... I remember watching another older cartoon of the Wing Commander franchise and now this.. compared to animated Disney star wars like rebels or even some mandalorian episodes, the difference in how long the episodes feel is striking. All these animated trek episodes feel like regular episodes, not short at all. All the star wars stuff feels like it's over before it even started and you really feel the short runtime.. just goes to show what good writing can achieve and what bad writing can ruin

This one is actually a bit of a miss for me. There's some cool stuff like the aqua shuttle and this Atlantis type civilization, but there's also a ton that makes no sense. The method by which Kirk and Spock are transformed is pretty nonsensical. How would venom evolve to transform something into a water breathing version of itself. It's clearly not a method of propagating the species and they didn't turn into giant sea snakes, nor did the people on the planet. Besides with teeth like that, anything injected with the venom would be dead before it could take effect. Besides that Kirk and Spock presumably look nothing like the Argo natives that used to live on the surface, let alone the fact they're not even the same species as each other. And I guess it's just the nature of the run time, but I hated how the conversation went from "we can't break the ordainments" to "we must break the ordainments" in like 10 seconds. Guess it comes with it being a kids show.
