Gristle is probably realizing just how perfectly reasonable and down to earth his daughter’s world view was for taking care of injured pack members, despite not being able to contribute to hunting.

Coming back with some thoughts. Originally the wolves would hunt other prey species in competition with the bison, but that shifted to the bison feeding the wolves from their own herd. I wonder why they initially made a decision like that.
