My father came home from the hospital on Friday. I'm better now too, so I'm back to the game. About 75% of the translation is still to be done, and I have a section to render. I will try to prepare these as soon as possible.

And then I'll take another day to test it, because I don't want to end up like the last chapter, where some scenes didn't appear on certain routes.

No release date for the moment,  but I'll try to get it done by Christmas.

Looking forward to more, but family and the holiday is more important. So take care of yourself and try not to stress too much. So long as you are active and communicating all should be well.

When the update? First, you said end of November, now we are at the end of December. I understand you had some problems, but a delay of a month is difficult to justify.

As soon as it is ready, and not before. :) Joking aside, I am sorry for the delays that I am the cause of. But the current delay is not like that. I don't regret that while my father was in hospital, between life and death, I didn't work on the game. Just like I don't mind when I have to put it aside for my full-time job. After all, I am still living off that at the moment. And I also have a family that I value more than my own life. I work on this alone, so if life throws anything at me, I deal with that, not this game. Such unforeseen events are most often the cause of delays. Believe me, I don't want it this way. I have every desire to put aside my current job and just work on this game and, when it's finished, the next one. I love doing this, much, much more than my day job. I can enjoy the creating while being constantly intellectually challenged. But I also have my limitations. Every day I try to work as hard as possible on this game. I'm working on it even now. It's midnight here, and I'm setting up the next scene. And I'll be up until 4:00 a.m. working on this game, despite the fact that I'm taking my dad to the hospital tomorrow at 8:00 for a checkup. Not much work left to do. I'm going to finish it this year, that's for sure. I'll shoot myself in the balls if I don't. I just ask for your patience. I spend all my free time on this program, all my free thoughts revolve around the game. And I want to finish it. Not long to go before the release. No more months to wait. A little more patience, please.

Hey. First of all I highly respect you doing this on your own, and love your game. About the delays, here’s my two cents. I don’t know if you already do this, so don’t take it in a condescending way, or negative. It just something that helped me, on projects I had to delay. So, always account for unexpected delays. It could be family matters as you experienced, could be work related, could be unforeseen errors, could be anything. My point is, if you think you done for example in 12 days, then add another week or 12 days to that estimate, only to account for things that goes wrong, and things do go wrong. Best case scenario, you release the project a week/12 days before, or have set time to look it through. Worst case scenario, you use the buffer of a week/12 days/or how many you give yourself to fix whatever problems come up. Also in that buffer incorporate time to not work on it. By that I mean don’t estimate the time to finish, by how long you can do IF you really hurry it, or to use a video game term, if use crunch it. That just stress you out, and when you stressed, you make mistakes, which again take time. Allow yourself to relax, sit back and come back to it later. Do I mean you may slack, no but a structured schedule for when to work and when to relax. Again incorporate this in your estimation on how long a project gonna take. I’m a firm believer that the end result comes out better if you work, let’s say to “shifts” at 4 hours, than sitting up all night working 8 hours straight. Lastly, you kind of giving yourself these problems with the release dates. I don’t expect a release date each month or whatever, I love your progress reports, but maybe just leave it at that? It will be fine by me to just get a feeling for how the game it’s coming along. When you set a release date, people will be disappointed when it’s not met. Anyway, was my two cents, and again don’t take this the wrong way, I don’t want to tell you have to do your job, it’s just something that have helped me, so maybe it could help you. Love your game and keep up the good work.

This is good advice, thank you. I'll take it.
