The time has come for me to unveil the other game developing alongside Rise of the Crime Lord Chapter 10. The title is: Distant Horizon. This game will be sci-fi and smaller scale, more linear than Rise. It will not be divided into chapters, and the first few updates will be relatively small. They will be about the size of the Rise prologue. Also, there will not be a separate English and Hungarian version, the language will be selectable by launching the New Game.

The protagonist is John Nedry, the Second Officer and helmsman of the colonisation ship ERSS Babylon. The story will revolve around him and the mystery of the titular spaceship, the Distant Horizon. Which is a luxury space yacht, but our hero won't necessarily enjoy the luxury.

Nedry's name will be changeable if you want to. Although I have not yet decided whether you will be free to change his first name only or his surname as well. In addition to this, our hero's origin will be selectable, and his origin will give him some special skills, so some missions will be solved differently depending on where he was born.

Like Rick, Nedry has a wife, but unlike Cora, she will not be a playable character. And this brings us to the famous tricky question: will there be an NTR? Well, I'm not ruling out the possibility, but based on the material I've written so far, it's unlikely. So far, I've only created one character that would be inclined to cheat on the protagonist (if he got together with her), but she hasn't been in a situation that would allow her to do so. To be on the safe side, there will be a decision on this at the very beginning of the game, just in case, but I don't see any chance of it happening at the moment.

In the next few days, you'll be able to find out more about the main characters.

well... Okay, I get that it's your decision, but unfortunately it's not a decision I agree with. I don't know why developers keeps making more than one game at the time. I could understand it if it was because you were so far ahead of your schedule that you had time to spare, but let's be honest and look at the last year and say, that's probably not the case. So from were I'm sitting, there is now gonna take time away from the game I supported to begin with, to a game I never supported to begin with. I know, maybe you can balanced both and it won't take away time frem RotCL. I have just seen it too many times, that it actually does. For these reasons I mentioned I won't continue to support you, but I wish you the best of luck with the games.

Your reasons are completely understandable, and believe me, I have been thinking about this for over a year because I know it can be a lot. But it was this one year that showed me that there is a lot of idle time between workflows. As is the case now with Chapter 10: - At the moment I am working on putting together the plot and dialogue from the notes. I do this on paper and in Word. Meanwhile, my computer does not render anything. And, once I have written the script, I only start programming (which usually involves rewriting the story here and there). Even then there is no rendering. I need to have at least a quarter of the chapter running in the program to start rendering, because that way there's the least chance of me doing unnecessary work on the images because of rewrites. So for about two months the computer is not working. I can easily spend these two months on getting the pictures for another, smaller programme ready. - When the rendering starts, I mostly write the outlines for the next chapter. I also do this on paper. But it's not much work, and I can easily write and program material for a small game. So, while one process of Rise is going on, another process of Horizon may be going on. Of course, Rise always takes priority, that's why I didn't announce Horizon earlier, because I completely put it aside in favour of Rise. Plus, from a creative point of view, it's good for my enthusiasm for Rise to be able to do something a little different sometimes. I love creating and writing stories, but for years I've only been involved with Rise. Unfortunately, my previous job also contributed to this, but my ex-bosses finally put an end to that. I was fired, so now I really have plenty of free time. Of course, if it eventually turns out that I can't run the two in parallel, I'll freeze the Horizon. But I have to try this.
