Gentlemen, I want to take a moment to thank you for your tireless efforts in providing these consistently excellent pods for us I think you all know I'm going through a bit of a tricky time and being able to look forward to sitting down at the end of the week to listen to the preview with a beer and switch off for a while genuinely makes a difference to getting through it Keep up the brilliant work for as long as you enjoy it, I know you all take your turns of receiving "candid" feedback but for every negative comment there's a hundred people who love your depth and nuance of discussion even when they disagree

Russell Jones

Tremendous, great pod as ever. Loved the path to Dublin, part too. Light hearted optimism is a tonic.

Kyle Crawford

Great pod as ever lads. Giving Lundstram a new deal is a no brainer for me. We're probably looking at a minimum of 6 or 7 leaving in the summer already, probably more. Think we'd struggle to get a replacement without spending a decent fee so should be prioritising other positions. His form has been excellent under Clement, the mix of him and Diomande looks good and he's rarely not available

Scott Watson

That's all very fair It seems like Clement absolutely loves him too, and he seems to have a good grasp of what players can be useful for so that's good enough for me

Angus Mackay

Great listen lads. I’m with Steven on Lundstram. He’s been great in spells but we just can’t afford to have one of our top earners having dips on the scale that he has during his existing deal. We couldn’t get two good players for the money, but we could buy one younger one who would be on a smaller weekly wage. James Trafford is hilariously overrated. Butland is easily good enough to be one of the three.

Billy Forrester

Lundstram has had 2 offish games ffs, I’d love to say that of every other player in our team. Lundstrum is a huge mainstay of the side, he must stay for at least another year or 2.

Angus Mackay

I don’t mean the last couple of games, where he’s obviously been tired, Billy, I mean the long spells under three previous managers when his domestic form was awful.

Scottie59

I thought and never thought I would say this but lunstrum looked dead on his feet against Benfica this is a guy who I has never rested, maybe a time for Raskin to step up

Scottie59

Yilmaz was my man of the match, this is one player who has improved big time under our manager, I thought personally about what problems we had with our selection issues I thought we might have started with 3 at the back with Yilmaz and Tav at wing backs and hitting on counter, however fair play to our manager for his decisions I know nothing

Spotify Turkey

Good pod as usual lads, thanks for sticking the timestamps in the description

Scottie59

One player I would keep is Lunsdrum his levels are high in his performances, Jack Buckland for the Euros guy has been excellent in a Rangers jersey, I always remember after the Aberdeen defeat the arse on a mobile phone outside the ground giving Tav verbals and Butland steps aside still never let him speak, all credit to Butland stepped up the guy is one step up from Scottish football, lol at the comment on Kyogo a strong wind if he feels that gets blown about like a crisp poke

Fraser Dobbie

Lundstram question is an interesting one. I’d give him 2 years max and on no more than he’s on today. If he won’t take that, Sterling is surely a good option along with Raskin and Bailey Rice to fight for that position. Use the money to sign a player in forward area / centre half where we don’t have depth.

Robert McGilvery

Butland has undoubtedly been our most important player so far, this season. However, one note of caution, tournament football games are often decided on penalties and I don't think Butland has been close to saving any of the pens he's faced 👍

Chris Wight

I think Steven and Alex both make sound arguments about keeping/getting rid or Lundstrum. I agree with both. However, I do think there is a middle ground. My suggestion would be to drop Lundstrums wages by about £8-10K/wk and try and bring in a young talent that can be moulded into the role because I don’t think anyone is convinced that Leon King, Bailey Rice or Nico Raskin have enough quality to fill his shoes. If we keep him around and look to sign someone like Lennon Miller on £8-10K/wk, and begin to use Lundstrum to mould him, I reckon we could be onto a winner.

Alastair McGeoch

I’d offer Lundstrum 2 years with an option of a 3rd. I think we need to keep him in the spine of the team as we (hopefully) evolve the squad over the next 2-3 transfer windows. I think we should also bear in mind I don’t think the squads fitness under Gio and Beale is where it needed to be and I think Clement will have the squad much fitter after a full pre season and I think Lundstrums levels can go up again.

Chris Wight

Exactly! Used to the league ✅ Homegrown talent ✅ Shown that they have talent ✅. Not sure about Miller’s contractual situation, but Barron on a free is a no brainer. Even in place of Ryan Jack

Douglas Innes

Great pod lads, before our last game in League Vs Hibs I thought Hibs basically had their game plan and basically stuck to it , it's very much a plan based on attack and Montgomery basically stuck with his idea irrespective if it was Rangers/Celtc or ST Mirren/St Johnstone he stuck with his plans/ideals basically so that the team got better through " familiarity " more than anything else , they will 100% give us a serious test their performance Vs Celtc is testament to that

Scotty

Great pod as always, I listen to every minute & quite often listen twice. I can see both sides of the Lundstram discussion but I’m happy to go with what the manager decides. I look forward to buying you all a pint in Dublin 🍺🥳

Spoon

Lundstum peaked for about 10 games but last few weeks he is reverting to type, dropping back between the centre backs, square passing and my pet hate the pass to a guy yards away and immediately take it back and do nothing with it. Time to move on from him as he’s just too negative in mindset and not bike in his day he can be invaluable he has had as many bad days as good ones over his contract. Great pod gents.

Billy Forrester

That was then and this is now, he has been immense under the new manager, just be happy ffs. We can’t crucify someone for the past under Beale etc, they were all shite under him. Judge him at present not last few seasons
