3 points on refs. 1/ we know refs support teams 2/ we know that this pattern is found across europe - see the reported discussion over the last week on Portuguese refs and the problems getting the right ones to ref games between the big teams 3/ cheating doesnt have to entail reffing for the team you support. If a ref knowingly (you said subconsciously) does not apply the rules evenly - because of outside factors i.e. windows/ PIs/ kids followed/ media hassle … that IS cheating.. Just because refs are shoite, doesnt mean they arent ‘cheating’ too.

Agree, Walsh got away Scot free with his Old Firm performance due to the focus on Collum. He has since given them a penalty for a clash of heads that happens almost every game without sanction to either party involved.

Europa Buscentre will get you a bus into Dublin, or there’s a train from Belfast Lanyon Place (formerly known as Belfast Central) I’d expect that our public transport provider will put on extra trains and buses in the event that either us or Liverpool get to the final since both clubs are huge here.

Wonderful show as always, Hoggy. Insightful and thoughtful. Excellent stuff.

Bill Leckie lol - wanks like him are the reason fan media exist. He’s an absolute plum who knows fuck all about football

Hoggy, you're absolutely right. Teams give away bad goals all the time. At least Goldson and Souttar don't have to play against Dougie Arnott...

Thanks for the comments on Raskin Hoggy. I agree with what you say about his position as a squad player at this point but I think he’s still capable of contributing and it also says that we’re in a half decent place in that midfield at the minute if he’s being nursed back in. Not so long ago we would’ve sold our granny for a “squad player” like the wee man. 👍🏻

I’m so glad you made the comparison with Mr Matchfit and McCoist. You know I was heavy critical of him at the start of the season but I’ve been thinking of the similarities between the two. McCoist missed shed loads of chances but would always get another and eventually scored. There was a reason the fans didn’t take to him at first. They both always seem to find the space and hence so many chances. He also didn’t always score 1 on 1 with keepers. I’ve been wanting to say it for a while but scared to say it out loud or write it down. Side note, there should definitely be a McCoist goals pod similar format to the managers shows, cover x number of goals a game, talk around the game chances missed etc. A true club legend and I think he’s deserving of it.

In the mid nineties I used to really like reading him and found him funny but he just got gradually more bitter year on year. Pathetic, sad, fat wee dick. (The rainwalker, not you 😂)

Thanks Hoggy! I always enjoy your shows. I agree that regular meeting would make perfect sense, as well as your "humanizing each other" point. Seems like a lot of issues could be resolved if they just sat and spoke to each other with a degree of mutual respect. But, making perfect sense and spfl don't exactly go hand in hand do they... And mutual respect across the board of managers and refs wouldn't fit into celtic's narrative. So hey, maybe next season? 😅

I don’t think you have to be a season ticket holder or mygers member for hospitality
