We weren’t going much further in this tournament Gives us more time to concentrate on next 2 major tournaments

Jim McCutcheon

Thanks again guys great chat enjoyed it 👍 😀

I agree that this european run we have been on recently is the most consistent we have ever been. there have been one off seasons where we’ve done extremely well but failed in the following campaign.

Graham McCallum

Good to hear Mr Bradley. I miss my Monday morning fix of historical Rangers games and music mix

Rona Bluebell

I know it’s becoming routine to say it, but in October we were facing a season of dread. We’re now accepting a European exit with grace with an eye on the bigger prize of 56. Astonishing changes.

Craig Fryatt

Excellent show lads to put things into perspective And Cammy I shall see you on Thursday in London

Alan Bradley

Thanks Graham thoroughly enjoyed the last series, was fab revisiting so many great Gers games, not so sure that everyone enjoyed all the Genesis music at times though. 😂

Alan and Cammy, well done on a great pod. I was gutted on Thursday. When I saw Benfica draw Marseille I was a little irked but the winner will face Liverpool so Dublin would not have been a possibility. We did reasonably well against a side which is Champions League level. Compared to our drubbing in Eindhoven and the binfire in the Champions League group stages last season that represents progress. You gave Scott Wright some credit for his performance on Thursday. His selection no doubt provoked groans but it was a case of round pegs in round holes. None of the Preview team predicted this. Kevin went for Lawrence wide right, Iain with Silva on the right and Matondo on the left, Strider the reverse of this. In each case a player would have been playing in a sub-optimal position. Between now and the split all our opponents have a great deal at stake so the Bears will have to show maximum intensity. Let’s empty the tank at Dens tomorrow!

I agree, Robert. 1992/93 turned out to be an outlier. Either side of Manchester we had some reasonable seasons - last 16 of Champions League in 2005/06, last 16 of UEFA Cup 2006/2007, last 16 of Europa League in Walter’s final season. To have European football after Christmas for 4 of the last 5 seasons - I don’t think we have experienced that since the 1960s.

Thanks for the Extra pod Cammy and its always great to hear Alan.

Good show gentlemen The discussion of teams taking a trip to Ibrox seriously is a very interesting one. Even in the grim Champions League games, we were still in touching distance late into he second half of each game - even the Liverpool game was still only 2-1 as late as 65 mins before we caved in. Since the Gerrard era began, nobody has come to Ibrox and had a complete walkover and I think that definitely has earned us respect

CRAIG CASSELLS

Eh, to my mind a 7-1 defeat by Liverpool can be called a walkover although the big mitigating factor was the injury to Goldson when still only 2-1 down. Yes we were competitive for first 45 but the capitulation in final 20 minutes made the game a humiliation for me. It is after all our single biggest ever defeat in Europe, matched only by 6-0 defeat in Madrid in early 60's.
