Good update Colin and thanks to all of us for last night

Colin Carstairs

We just lacked that cutting edge in the final 1/3.. Our strikers need 3-4-5 chances to stick one away where top teams only require due to the quality maybe 1-2 that’s the big difference for me. We are hopefully down the road regarding replacements for this squad & they are of a higher quality which does require a tad more investment but so far the manager has shown what he can do with a limited squad. Positive looking forward to the coming months for me.

Was proud to stand and clap my team last night...they were exhausted and they put on a battle against Benfica..and not much between us...except the teams valuation..but I would value our team more in loyalty...now we move on with our heads held high.

Jim Milne

Completely agree with the example you gave Colin, regarding getting pumped by a Liverpool. The mantle strength of this team is definitely tougher than last year under Clement. However going out in the way that we did, likely hasn't impacted confidence at all. WATP.

Thanks Colin 👍, proud of the team 👏

Thanks for the update Colin. Not much to go on today bar the opinions of last night. The usual histrionics from the usual ones. Boo-boys getting a fix. Disappointment but not disheartenment from the vast majority. Analysis all already been said. Only thing I'd add which I've not seen / heard is Diomande after the goal. Poor lad took it really hard, really felt personally responsible (aye, a significant point of failure in it but not the only one!). Really lost his way for a bit. It's not a dig, not even a criticism. I think it's great that he cares. Actually think it'll be a positive for him. His team mates supported him, dragged him out of it and he got back in the game. Great to see. So many great personality qualities from many players in this one incident. In a word - character! Big Phil is giving us our Rangers back.

William Hughes

Still gutted. Really fancied us going in. Always think we can win. Always.

Robert White

Marseille were doable but we would have needed Atalanta to sneak past the scousers to get to Dublin. Unlikely,!

We weren’t going much further in this tournament The extra space for our outcoming fixtures should prove more beneficial than one more round

Brian Fisher

What a terrible version of that song.

Joe Potter sounds dead like Colin

Upgrading the squad in the summer is a must, cause lack of quality and all the injuries definitely cost us last night, we've still a domestic treble to fight for though.

Douglas Innes

I feel that the managers and players while disappointed know we have more important domestic matters to attend to , only negative even though it's factually true is the manager referring to Benfica's budget as it leaves him open to questioning in a domestic sense

John Palmer

Rangers are the Best Representive in Europe for Scotland, and are the only Team contributing to getting positive numbers for the Co-efficient which feels futile because the rest just keep dragging it down. It still hurts that we single handedly got our Lge the right to qualify for the Champs Lge proper if you win the Lge and for the past 2 yrs, that lot across the City just hoovered up all the great work. Our board also failed us by not giving our past Managers what they needed at the time to go on and retain the Lge 21/22 and 22/23 as well put in a better showing in the Champs Lge where we got totally embarrassed. The Player trading model needs to change and we need to be shopping in markets that can herald some gems ie Scandinavia, Portugal, England, Asia and Sth America.

It shows how far we have come in Europe over the past 4 seasons that we are disappointed not to make the Europa League Quarter Finals and have European football in April. I can remember our brief forays into Europe in the 90s! Now, let’s get Dundee beaten, and regroup/recharge for the final 10 or so games of the season and go and do a treble.
