Andy recently recreated his teenage years by attending his local nightclub which has reopened and faithfully recreated their best club night.

If you could recreate (not relive) your younger days, when/where/why would you recreate?

Remember this means you RECREATE the moment as an older person, and not RELIVE as the young spring chicken you were.

Similar to Tin-Tin I’d recreate a jaunt to my local nightclub but have it end at 7pm and go home and read a book..

The Edge Coatbridge, any Thursday night from 2005-08. One last mental night of 50 £1 drinks, not being able to move for sweaty folk and my mates telling me about the 10/10 burds they've pulled when you weren't next to them, when in reality you've been beside them the whole time and they were actually a 3/10. One last night and then retire from it forever, go out on a tremendous high

I’d recreate my trip to Bulgaria because I distinctly remember being 11 years old and being in sheer awe and disbelief at just about every woman bar my mother being topless. And not just topless but in absolute goddess shape. I’d like to go back there and relive that. Except this time instead of blushing and them saying “awe” to me we could actually get up to some other recreations

I'd definitely rebuild the Jeanie pub in Crossmyloof especially for pre match on Old Firm games. A fantastic boozer for Southside bears with a brilliant atmosphere. Even though I'm tee-total these days I'd still be in there singing my wee heart out whilst sipping a fresh orange.

I'd do the "One False Move" Live Show Stonehouse Masonic 1992 with Colin Liddell (TheHairyJobbie) Fame, a Stand Up Comedy Sketch Show, just him and I for over 100 friends and family. Colin found the original scripts in his loft last year, I'd love to update it and do it over as two 50 somethings 😁 who knows

I’d love to relive a night at Rico’s night club Greenock from the 90s, a indie night club right in the middle of the Manchester music scene, absolute brilliant music with the legendary local DJ Mcdee……what a place

I'd recreate the 1989 Junior Cup Final. Was only 11 when Cumnock won it and would love to have experienced that as an adult. We did win in 2023 but the final was a Friday night in Cumbernauld which was great but an all day Sunday would have been much better.

My first thought would be to relive my 30” waistline. But in terms of experience there are plenty Rangers related moments, none more so than climbing the fence at the front of the East Enclosure on May 11th 1991 and embracing Walter after the 2-0 Aberdeen last day title clincher. Then there was a time probably that same year, when I got to take my mate on holiday with my family to a caravan park down in Silloth, Cumbria. We were only sixteen but there was a Scotland v England game arranged on the 7 a side pitch on the grounds. I was raging as my mate started the game and I was made to be a sub. Second half started and as the previous nights beer started to to take its toll on some of the dads, I got the shout to come on during a break of play where the ball had gone out for a by kick to us. I came on determined to prove they had made the wrong choice to have me as a sub and headed straight up the park. The keeper takes the by kick right up into the air and it’s heading straight for me with my back to goal. As it started to drop I made a decision and lined up for an over head kick. Up I go, left foot leading then the right foot swings up and makes a perfect connection, I just about manage to land and roll in time to see it fly into the top corner and everyone, I mean everyone from both sides cheers and come over one by one to shake my hand. My dad’s girlfriend, who had come over to watch, was jumping up and down squealing with delight on the side line. I had never fet so special in all my life than I did in that moment. Told the kids this story more times than they would thank me for but have always dreamed of recreating that moment again. Things is though, I never kicked my own arse in the game after that as I was actually quite shit at football anyway and they were dead right to have me as a sub in the first place. I could also have suggested when my dad used to leave for work at 7am on a Friday morning and stay with said girlfriend for the weekend leaving me and my mates free to the house that whole time every week. I know the nightclub Andy is talking of and a whole team of us routinely ended up back staying at mine every Saturday night when it closed but the stories I could tell would fill a full RBR episode and may end up in several arrests and a number of divorces, including my own, so we should just leave that one buried deep in the memories of those who were there. Keep up the good work lads, my son who introduced me to Heart and Hand, and I love having a laugh discussing the show after we each listen to it every week.

The Buff Club in Glasgow were doing this kind of thing over the summer last year. Club night for over 30s, doors open at 7ish and close for the actually club opening around 11. Me and the missus went and it was a fucking blast.

Seumais Simpson

🤣🤣🤣 not quite. You'd need to speak to the boys to organise a session with Megara Furie for that kinda club night.

I'd like to try the festival scene around the late 00s/early 10s before it became a cunt fest full of spice boys. Hydro Connect, Rockness, Creamfields all brilliant at the time. Would barely last a day now. Or The Arches just to experience it again.

John Davidson

Andy in a nightclub? Be lucky if you don't end up on a register.

Alan Stewart

Awesome 101 at the livi forum. Best days of my life, however, I can barely remember the memories? White doves have a lot to answer for.. 🤪

William Acheson

Manchester 08, was made redundant few weeks before so didn't go, one of my biggest regrets!

2003. As a young engineer working in oil exploration, our ship went in to Rio De Janeiro for a full week before crew change. Local bars at the docks full of young ladies, copacabana beach and the night clubs and girlies off copacabana were amazing, club Help being a particular favourite, then the upmarket restaurants and bars in Ipanema. Getting paid for that at 23 years old was unreal. Would do it all again in a heartbeat. Her indoors might have something to say about it now right enough…….. some stories from that week to fill a lifetime.

Derek Vine

Mo Edu’s last minute winner against them… 2 weeks in ibiza in 2001 might be a stretch now

Should have read the full blurb, I wouldn’t last 4 hours in there. Now never mind 4 years.

Most of my childhood was spent playing the Xbox so there isn’t too much I could really recreate. When I was around 10 years old my granny had her hip replaced and she apparently tried to have the old joint put in a jar to be given to me for some reason that I don’t know. When my dad mentioned it to me I just sat there in silence because I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to say. He was pretty offended at my apparent indifference. So maybe I would recreate that again just to tell them how weird that is 😂

A youth club. So a 50s club for me where there's pool, table tennis, swim, gaming, movies. A lads club without booze please!!

Rona Bluebell

I’m going for something more wholesome. I’d like to recreate my old primary school, specifically when I was an angel in the nativity play. I had to wait on my own in the classroom before I had to go on so I got to play with all the toys and pets without having to wait a turn. I’d like to recreate that to have those feelings of unrestrained access and to see how small everything actually was. 😇

Chaz Laird

This question is too hard…..just go back to jobbies.

I would recreate the cue ball flagship that was in Anniesland. Wearing my Dad's suit jacket with the sleeves rolled up done up to the nines. All this in an attempt to fool the bouncers I was 18,when I was 16. We would go and play snooker first, yes all dressed up and then sneak into the club. They must have known. Saved up my dinner money for drinks. Either that or house music in Barbaza Royal exchange square on a Sunday

Dylon Aitken

No need to relive or try and recreate it unlike you old farts. Would’ve much preferred to grow up in your generation though with no phones etc. As your resident young person any questions on going out let me know.

Scott Henry

During my Freshers Week in 1998 I saw Richard Wilson in The Hive standing at the bar supping a pint. I managed to stop myself from going up to him and shouting ‘I don’t believe it!’. I would recreate that moment and shout it at him as loud as possible.

Andy McGowan

I've got a couple of questions for you and will ask them. Colin, Jack remind me...

My first cup final in 1976 - I was 11. Went with my grandfather. Reason - after being picked up on battlefield road and dropped him off in auldhouse, my mum and I were involved in a car crash which I was lucky to emerge from. Woke up in the viccy next morning and could not remember a thing!! Had to read the Sunday mail to establish what happened!! Mental. Seem to have vague memories of the day now - but not sure how much of that is what I’ve been told or seen on tv!! Would love to have a better memory of that famous cup final!!!

Or my first gigs at the Apollo in Glasgow! The clash in July 1978 - famous for the riot during and after the gig! The stranglers I’m oct 1978 - strippers!!! First time I’d seen a naked lady!!! And the rezillos farewell gig dec 1978 - 6 encores - and an attendee in a see through plastic Mack with only lingerie underneath - phew!!!

Chaz Laird

if that’s the case then I’d like to recreate the JC and A show so that kinks, oddities and good old fashion jobby stories becomes the norm again…..but i also wouldn’t want andy to leave the show….😂
