Horrible game of football to watch as a neutral, btw does anyone know the song used in the intro for this series?

John Smith

Liverpool’s to lose but I think Arsenal can do it. Really damaging for City

Martin Mcinnes

Mentality wise if Arsenal had lost, they were out the race, the draw keeps them in it, can see all 3 now pushing until last couple of games now, whoever of the 3 goes out in Europe earliest could see it as a blessing come the end of May

CRAIG CASSELLS

Very poor game. Arsenal could have, and probably should have, scored with one of their 2nd half breakaways. Liverpool are today's big winners.

Eric Stewart

Currently on my way out of the Etihad Stadium what an awful game, I’m not sure why Everton turned up in Arsenal shirts today 🤷🏻‍♂️

Scott Christian

On way back from the match. It was tousy, stop-start and Arsenal did pretty well to spoil the match. City were half a yard off it across the team. They really missed Stones and Walker which would have allowed Bernardo to get further forward. Felt Doku on the right had a stinker. Interestingly guy next to me called Foden having a poor game as he thought he’d be too easily bullied by White, which was perhaps the case. Felt Taylor was poor, as much as “we don’t like to see early yellow cards” he let too many blatant cautions go. I think if this was a play to win game it would have gone to penalties or a mistake at the back, it felt 0-0 at HT! As stated on previous thread I think Liverpool will win it!

Great to have the additional content “post match pod” from you all tonight. Much appreciated!

Personally I thought so because we haven’t been playing well for a while. Our greatest asset at the moment is the other two thinking we’re going to do what we always do and I don’t think we will this year - but I thought that 2/3 through last season too…… Far too timid first half and at least looked like they wanted to win in the second half. Very surprised with how park the bus and kick them in the air Arsenal were today.

Heart and Hand

They’ve had some awful beatings up there in the past, I think they were determined to prevent another gubbing.

Jordan

I think Liverpool will win. They have the advantage of also not having the champions league . If both City and Arsenal get into the semis, they will a play a pretty attritional game against each other as well.

Heart and Hand

I thought ref was unduly lenient. I get ‘let it flow’ and broadly agree with it but you have to clamp down on tactical fouling and he didn’t.

Martyn Ramsay

Reminds me a lot of how Mancini was derided after City played like that at the Emirates during the winter of their first PL title. Wenger, Arsenal fans and media furious that they didn’t open up and allow Arsenal to play. Did what they needed to that night. Funny old game

David Booth

Arsenal's midfield were excellent today. City spent the first 10/15 minutes camped 30 yards from Arsenal's goal popping the ball about. We have watched so many teams let city do this and being happy with the perceived lack of threat, and then three passes later they have conceded. Arsenal, and their midfield especially, worked so hard to not win possession back, but make City play 15/20 yards deeper. Incredibly mature display. I'm whispering it but Arsenal may not be Arsenaling any more!

Eric Stewart

It wasn’t the PL title winning season but a valid observation - though at the time it felt more like stereotypical Italian shithousery than anything else.

Martyn Ramsay

Apologies, it was the season before. They weren’t good enough yet to go there and open up though. It was the right move on the night and it probably was for Arsenal today. Up to City to break them in the end.

Mark

70% possession, 700 passes and you're only attempt on goal comes from a corner. City were fucking rotten to watch yesterday. A horrible game of football.

Russ

I think Arsenal are probably the best performing team atm and the underlying numbers back that up, but what I think will catch up with them is Arteta not wanting to deviate from the same 12/13 players every matchday, he just wont be able to do that with a deep CL run as well...City are similar as well for me. Mahrez and Gundogan to Kovacic and Nunes is a massive downgrade and I think Pep thinks that too and is reluctant to turn to the bench. Klopp will willingly use 5 subs and rotate 2 or 3 players every game, that's the only reason why I think they'll have a chance in the end. Great pod lads. Stinking game though haha.

Callum Dinnen

He was, but also weirdly clamped down on Havertz and Jesus winning the physical battle at times against City's full backs.

Callum Dinnen

For a perfect yet unrealistic option for Arsenal at number 9, step forward Harry Kane.

Scott Christian

He made it difficult for himself with the early decisions not to give at least 1 blatant yellow card (the pull back on Silva on the right side when he was breaking into the box, when that’s a standard caution even in the middle of the pitch) & then let a large number of fouls go unpunished. He was getting absolute dog’s abuse for most of the match after that from the City fans and that maybe did affect his judgement. It will be interesting to see how he does on Sunday at Old Trafford.
