To be fair plenty rangers fans are also far down the "it's a conspiracy against us" route - it's absolutely tiresome and boring for both the largest sides in Scotland having elements of the fan base claim systemic bias.

R. Jenkins

Ask any Bear what was the worst performance by a referee in Scotland and most will say Beaton v Hibs. We coined the Cheatin Beaton term and it was a few years later that They took up the term. He’s simply an atrocious referee and will undoubtedly struggle next weekend.

Gordon Mitchell

If we win - they will complain about ref. So I hope we hear about the refs.

Craig Armstrong

Brilliant news about Gazza show. Looking forward to that. Agree with David. Didn't matter who the ref was there'd be rage from the opposition over it. Also. When is the final Warburton show due. I enjoy these and have been looking forward to the Pedro PowerPoint months for a while now

Seumais Simpson

Absolutely. The fact of the matter is that refereeing in Scotland is awful across the board and for me, any claims of conspiracy from either fan base is a little embarrassing.

Miguel Sanchez

Agreed man I honestly go into these games desperate for as little "big" decisions as possible cause neither side will shut up about it regardless of if it's the correct decision or not you hear patter like "if that was up the other end" etc until the last OF of the season

Gregg

Him and Clancy are absolutely dreadful - you can sense them starting to panic in games.

Russ

Jeez I'm feeling the nerves already for the weekend...

Craig Armstrong

Magic. I am one of these masochists who've enjoyed these as much as Advocatt McLeish and Walter. Absolutely guarantees that I will never take any trophy win for granted again

Andrew Cairns

David I’m begging you. Use whatever influence you have to try and get them to play the Stonecutters song instead of I’m Feeling It if we win on Sunday.

Colin Mathie

There’s no competition for places where Roofe plays ffs, he starts, bench diddy dessers.

Colin Mathie

Need to not be scared when playing that lot this time round.

James Anderson

Listened to acsom podcast today Full of venom, victomhood and bile. They truly are paranoid. I watch all Rangers podcasts, and you just do not get that level of toxic obsession. Beaton does us no favours, but we just need to deal with it.

Mark Harper

Have they sold the GE corner tickets yet does anyone know?

Graham johnston

Beaton will feel the pressure. I doubt he will give us any 50/50 calls on Sunday for fear of a backlash

Steve Clark

Really looking fwd to hearing the gazza show.

Jayson Moore

Despite what the idiots are saying Beaton is the worst possible ref appointment we could have got. So much pressure on this guy & I actually think on a human level it’s disgusting that the sfa/spfl think that this was a good idea to throw this guy into this position after brenda called him out. Knowing fine well what this guy is going to get put through this week nevermind the actual game it’s a fkn disgrace.

Tamus

Up the Ante? Anthony Stokes dad used to do that

John Myles

Does anyone know if there is a second ballot for semi final tickets , I missed out by 30 points

David Innes

I assume there was no mention of the fact they’ve had controversial decisions go in their favour in the last 2 OF games then?

Robert White

I agree it's a nightmare scenario with Frank, Danny, Nick and Wullie assisting in the "judgement" calls.

David Taylor

One thing that confuses me is why the SFA don’t come out in support of their referees. For years there’s been the narrative that we get “soft” penalties and it’s reached crazy levels this season, but in almost every instance, top referees and those who know the rules back up the decisions. Both Dermot Gallagher and the Behind the Whistles pod agreed that the use of VAR to award us a penalty was correct, and also the decision to rule out Wrights finish for encroachment, but idiots like Michael Stewart continue to push their opinion and not the laws of the game, this goes pretty much unchallenged. I was screaming at Dickinson on Saturday regarding the drop ball situations, but on reading up on the rules around it, as much as I don’t agree with them, I can see why he gave the ball back to Hibs on a few occasions, if only pundits and those in the media could provide insight on the actual laws as opposed to the Punch and Judy nonsense we get up here!

Gary Brown

I agree. Traditionally it was a 'them' thing, not The Rangers Way. But our fans stoicism has been eroded by the evidence. Too many advantagous decisions going for a particular team when they need it most. I'm not a conspiracy theorist. But I'm a realist. The inTIMidation of officials has been a certain club's policy & narrative since the bespeckled wee bunnet ran the show there. As is the placement of certain 'minded' persons in key positions in media resulting in mhedia! Which is why we're listening to this and not getting our Rangers news via our national sports outlets the BBC & Daily Record. I don't actually think the refs are against Rangers. But I do think they live in fear, inTIMidated to be FOR to that mhob. They are pressured to do so beforehand, during and face consequences afterwards, even for making correct decisions, if they don't.

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update David 👍 Refs again eh?!! The standard is pathetic. Add in the inTIMidation which has been prevelent and 'accepted' in our football for so long none of the current batch of officials know anything different. The mhedia are the biggest villains of the piece! Be interesting to see how the Roofe & Balogun situations go in summer, both could still offer something on & off the park. Every single season we have a striker & centre half injury crisis. They are more than capable to be part of the squad, albeit on new, reduced, contracts. In fact Roofe was tearing that mhob up in the last OF at Ibrox, best attitude too.

Scott McKenzie

Who controls the British crown? Who keeps the metric system down? We do, we do! Who keeps Atlantis off the maps? Who keeps the Martians under wraps? We do, we do! Who holds back the electric car? Who makes Steve Guttenberg a star? We do, we do! Who robs cavefish of their sight? Who rigs every Oscar night? We do, we do!

Seumais Simpson

I know what you are saying and your point about us putting money into H&H is spot on. The worry the refs might have for contentious decisions is also understandable. As Miguel said, hopefully there are no game changing decisions that the refs can make an arse of on the day and we go about our business and batter them.
