Thanks for this pod lads. The most enjoyable time of that entire period. The end of 'The Journey'! It was more fitting the Championship and our return to the top flight was secured at Ibrox, to be enjoyed by the hardy souls who had endured so much sitting in those seats. 2012 taught us all (or should have!) not to take winning a trophy for granted and the Challenge Cup is as valid & worthwhile as any other trophy. Won the lot, literally, and likely never repeated by any other club. Never ever felt lower following the team than the Easter Rd final loss - and my teen terrace years were pre Souness!! That semi final was a unique experience, the gap was never wider but that's the joy of football 11 v 11. Like David said people, non football folk, colleagues, (even some human CFC lot!) who knew you were a fan coming up and saying "well done". Those folk, even non football fans, understood on a human level it was something you cared deeply about and understood just what you had been through in the years prior; how you'd suffered, despaired, been ridiculed, abused & even bullied (particularly by the mhedia) for remaining a loyal fan and ultimately betrayed by those running the club. That point, those couple of weeks, after all we'd endured in the years before it. Euphoric. Bliss. Nirvana.

My son won a competition on twitter to give martyn waghorn a pair of puma boots two days after the semi final win. Being the responsible adult I am I went with him and met waghorn, Warburton and Harry forrester at the training ground. Fantastic day and sat in on a press conference too.

I think tavs goal in that final against Peterhead is the best goal he’s ever scored during his tenure for us, I think the glitz and glamour is took off it due to what competition it was scored in and the opponent. Unbelievable strike.

Nothing will ever top this Old Firm win
