James Mathieson

Great summary David. Still don’t know how to feel about it. Loved the fight to come back and get a result but why were we so bad 1st half?! Onwards to Wednesday. We go again!

Scott Duncan

1st half the absolute worst of the season. A performance I’d expect from us at their midden. Better 2nd half but PC must do something unexpected if we’re to get anything there in the next OF game.

chris smith

We absolutely must have upgrades next season on Goldson and Lundstram and if we get a good offer for Tav he should be gone too.

Graham johnston

Agreed with the penalty. There was clear contact but that didn't stop Sutton or the rest of the nutjobs complaining. Glad i have heart and hand to listen to for the next week because I couldn't listen to the endless debate on refs 😴 Regarding the Beaton appointment. I think he was selected for Ibrox and Collum will be Selected for Parkhead to even it up as They say. Which is ridiculous because both r just bad refs and shouldn't be anywhere near a fixture like this.

Gregg

Thought Beaton had a good game - got all the calls correct though needed some help with them. Credit where it’s due - he’s normally awful

John Hutchison

Now I've had an hour to reflect on the game my utter relief at getting a draw has returned to anger at being humiliated in the first half. That was one of the worst 45 mins ever against them and as we all know there's been a few bad 'uns. We are incapable of laying down a marker against them due to having players in that team who don't have either the skill or mentality to be winners. Our best hope is to win all of our remaining games and get a draw at the piggery.

Billy Jolly

Butland could have cut out the first goal

MARK DRIVER

In exhausted after that, need a lie down to try and process what Iv just watched

stephen

I honestly don't know what to do with myself this has got to be the most pissed off/delighted I've ever been.

chris smith

I think Beaton’s performance can be judged on 3 things .. 1/ no booking for Carter-Vickers for kicking the ball away. 2/ booking Silva initially for diving when it was a clear penalty and 3/ no 2nd yellow for Pugface at the said same penalty. And as for Dessers’ disallowed goal, how many pounds are people willing to wager that if that had been a Celtic goal VAR would have been absolutely nowhere to be seen … pressure on officials clearly works

Graham johnston

I didn't necessarily mean today tbf. He let clear yellows go despite clear rules eg in what is a yellow card. However I accept that happens in most Old firms games

Gregg

I don’t think it was a clear penalty - it was when you saw it slowed down. Silva had been throwing himself about - that’s the way it goes if you do that, see Martin Boyle. Didn’t think it was a second booking at the penalty either

Grant Hutton

Worst I’ve ever seen Connor Goldson. Think he needs taken out the team for a period of time.

Rona Bluebell

On reflection, that game was our season to date. First 45 minutes was the start to the season, end of the game is us now. Onwards.

Graham soderlund

All 3 of their goals should have been stopped the 1st 2 self inflicted will we ever learn but credit for the 2nd half showed real fight and bottle. Keep going rangers we can do this.🇬🇧

Tamus

If Elon Musk launches a rocket to the Sun please put Tav and Goldson on board. Habitual Shytehawks

James Anderson

Phillipe, Tav, Goldson, Lundstrum and Barasic have had several managers sacked. Please dont let it be you

Gregg

Poor Borna - he wasn’t even playing and he’s still getting it 😂

Reece

David, have a watch back at the Sky coverage when you get a chance. Suttons commentary needs called out, clearly encouraging that lot to pile on Beaton.

Gregg

What did he say Reece? I thought he was okay - save for the Tiki Tok pish.

Scott Gallacher

That game should have carried a health warning with it. That first goals knocked us all over the place and to be fair to that lot they played well afterwards but then it’s the ideal start isn’t it in any away fixture…in fact in any fixture home or away !! I think the weather played a huge part, you could see forward passes running straight out of play when the gusts caught it. Feels like we could have won it in the second half but then it also feels like a get out of jail to just have picked up a draw. Bonkers game. Not good for the heart that one !!

Paul Black

Tried to digest it but still feel that today was a good chance to beat them and with a win on Wednesday I don't think that lot would have recovered. Urine poor 1st half and much better second but as usual we need to put up with the brain farts in defence. Take comfort in the fact that Koppen and Clement already know that and summer targets in mind

Stuart McCall

We know what we need to do, win every game and we win the league. Simples!

Ian M Primrose

Sutton is a disgrace...where is McCoist?

Billy Forrester

Poor patter, Tav has bailed us out more times than I can ever comment, always an easy target. Without him we aren’t even in a title race. You will have lauded him for his unreal free kicks and goal against hibs etc but today he is a shitehawk. Poor from u Tamus

Graham Jones

Yeah, it was a weird one. We were nowhere near the levels we need for these games in the first half, hence why we lost it 2-0. But, we changed and won the second half 3-1. The goals we conceded were completely avoidable, except the penalty, which is just a quirk of the current rules, (FIFA have to change them or the game is a joke). If we stop making life easy for them, I can see us taking something from Parkhead, but we have to impose ourselves more in these games. We haven’t won at their patch since Gerrard, who worked out what he had to do to win these games. Clement should seek a conversation with him, just to find out what Walter told him, because I’m sure that played a big part.

Andrew MacLean

I think today shows the importance of Ridvan to the side

Al-WATP

Pre match I was upbeat but I’ll be honest my positivity left when I seen the starting line up with no Cantwell and Wright starting. It wasn’t as positive as I was expecting and I think it would have given them a lift. I thought we stayed off them way too much, and Maeda destroyed Tav with ease and their attacking play was so much better than ours in terms of pace, movement and passing. Opening goal a shambles obviously, could’ve easily been more before the penalty which was a clear handball and then it looked like we could be on the end of a drubbing. After getting back to 2-2 to concede the third was just fuckin awful. Yet again we didn’t make it hard for a team to score against us. Then when we brilliantly got our third, I was starting to dream there was a chance … then Souttar stupidly lost the ball at about 93/94 mins and that summed up what we’d seen all day, very sloppy and scrappy. Difficult to know whether to be satisfied or pissed off ……. But I’m probably the latter 😬

Latimer

It would've meant sterling could've played in midfield because he was badly needed in there.

Robert White

It's both satisfactory and not. Point gained but 2 dropped. Very slightly worse off imo, but far better than much worse off if we lost! Still in our hands.

Al-WATP

And we know what he is but Sutton being on comms is fuckin terrible - we shouldn’t have to pay for that arsehole, no balanced view, no footballing analysis just an absolute prick

Al-WATP

Really ??? He played to his audience in every single decision where he had to challenge everything given to us and support everything not given to us ……. Did you honestly miss that ?

David Anderson

Think the feeling is quite common, considering how bad we played a draw isn't too bad. My worry going forward is Celtic don't even need to do anything and we shit the bed, hopefully we can cut that out!

Stace1ofthePeople

I agree but ridvan is too injury prone and not reliable. He's been out a few times since arriving here. We need to freshen up the defence massively

Stace1ofthePeople

It was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster that was. Still trying to be positive, I think we have to at this point of the season and giving where we were 5 months ago however it doesn't sit right with me how shit we were in the first half , I've not got a lot of confidence going to park head but hopefully they drop points again. Mix bag of emotions just gotta get behind the team and go with it.

Fraser Black

Horrible to say it but have to agree Lennon’s assessment of Tav vs Maeda, he’s 100% in Tavs head. That was an absolute shambles of a performance from him today, he was all over the place & absolutely panicked every time he was faced up. Likewise Goldson, I really do hope that’s the end of him this summer. Dunno where that leaves us in all honesty, feels like 1 point gained after the horrific first 45, but in the grand scheme of things, does that team give you the confidence they can get a result at their ground . . . Just can’t see it in all honesty. I think we’re looking for others to do us favours at this stage (in the event we get past Wednesday!)

Russ

Looks like we'll more than likely have to get a result at Parkhead - and tbh that gives me the creeps with our recent record there. Having said that, we've put in the graft to still have the title in our own hands so maybe we can do it. Should be a fun few weeks haha! Cheers Davy.

CGG

48 comments so forgive me if I repeat, can’t be bothered reading them all, big chance missed today but still delighted with the result, said on here a year ago, our defence is shocking, don’t care what the stats show, when it matters they let us down

Gregg

He was doing his usual with some of the fouls aye and calling the pen embarrassing. Tbh it’s just white noise to me when he starts his talk sport style shite so maybe wasn’t paying as much attention.

CJT

Weird feeling. Thought at half time the season was done. Thought on 90 mins the season was done. Still in it though so initial feeling on FT was relief. Unlike fellow bears who’re starting to see positives, the longer away we are the more frustrated I’m getting. They’re as poor as I’ve seen since Lennon and we let them dominate us all over the pitch for 45 mins. Looking at the same guys doing the same things against that mob 4 managers down the line was horrific. The difference between today and a Gio style collapse or a Beale type flop is a real goalie and Clement. How he got them up again is a real achievement, but the reality is while we were more up for it, some of the players were still way below where we can be and have been recently. As a result this was a significant opportunity today that we failed to take it. Not really sure about the view they’ll be adversely impacted by this. If I’m in their shoes I say don’t lose and get them back to the piggery. For us it is win and take that out of the equation. We didn’t, simple as that. Lots of water to flow under the bridge. It’ll be choppier now than it needed to be but we’re still in it. I hope that’ll be the takeaway as the dust settles for me but that feeling we’re seeing the end of the new manager bounce and return to the usual from some of these guys is really niggling tonight.

John Palmer

It's a weird feeling after that result because it can be looked at in many ways: - That lot were unlucky not to win - They threw it away - Rangers were very poor Rangers showed steeliness to comeback from 2 nil down to 2 - 2 then again moments after going behind late in the game to come back from 3 - 2 down to draw 3 - 3. Fact of the matter, were at home and yet again that lot had the run of the place. A draw isn't devastating for either team but it is another opportunity missed this Season which if we lose, will be looked back on as such. I'm not confident about going to Parkshed as it feels like they've got our number this year. Roll on Wednesday

T5

We live to fight another day.

Gary Shaw

I think there’s a severe lack of quality throughout our team and it’s always shown up against them, especially middle of the park….O’Reilly and Hatate are streets ahead of Lundstram and Lawrence ,it’s actually embarrassing watching those 2 getting around a park compared to the two Celtic boys….as much as I’m happy with the point in the end,it’s blatantly obvious now how this Rangers team are psychologically scared of this lot ,the past umpteen games against them have followed the same pattern (apart from a dead rubber),were we only come in to the game once they’ve went a goal or 2 up and have thought it was done.
