Rangers exist to play in the Champions League. We invented the thing in the first place. All this talk of looking more to the Europa League is for losers. The situation with the Hearts tickets is typical of Scottish football, where they give in to Hearts just to spite Rangers. They were always going to struggle selling them for this game. With a final I understand it more, but for a semi final there should be a division based on season tickets and expected demand. With these games you can’t take the chance of leaving big gaps in a stadium. TV companies hate to see them, and are another reason why we need to change the culture in how we run the business of football in Scotland, because Celtic’s running of the game has been broken for over a decade. Ranger have someone who worked at UEFA, James Bisgrove, where he was responsible for the commercial deals with sponsors for the Champions League and the other competitions they run. He should be given the task on the SPFL board of overseeing these issues, not Doncaster who is hopeless. The SFA are even worse, where we have people who run third and fourth tier clubs running the show.

Seems to be a lot of misinformation circulating about season ticket renewals. I don't mind admitting I had issues and actually went down to Ibrox this morning as a result. The information I was given and I hope some people find helpful. Job 1 - read your email, I like many many others are automatically enrolled in my season ticket renewal and ultimately need do nothing. READ THE EMAIL. Lots of people are talking about logging on to renew, you might not need to READ THE EMAIL. I have 2 season tix unaffected by the Broomloan away issue and 2 that are affected. I managed to move the 2 that are affected but this was soul destroying and only perseverance got me over the finishing line. I also had to compromise on having the 2 side by side. In my opinion this should never have been left to the individuals to sort themselves as the system was both temperamental and clunky. Anyone doing this has my pity, it is not easy and can very easily frustrate. In short READ THE EMAIL. If you need to do anything good luck and try very hard not to lose your shit.

Rangers website and ticketing remains a farce!! I’ve been trying to renew my season ticket since yesterday….this 5 step process fails at first hurdle….I didn’t get a reset email…..contracted Rangers today, said they’d email again…still never got it….Rangers FC SLO has stepped into to help but that only gets me so far and then the site tells me my password is invalid! Absolutely fucking chronic service from Rangers again…..they couldn’t make it any harder for me to give them my money…..any other business, you’d just take your custom elsewhere but as ever Rangers know we can’t do that in this instance so they replace one shitey online experience with a different shitey online experience! If I ever get mine fixed I’ve then got to do another two times for each of my sons

Thanks Colin...everything you say about the european games are so true..but like you I keep wanting celtic to lose...we cant change ..come on hearts help us out...the commonwealth games what a joke...we held the world cycling event and our road conditions were dreadful ...they have no money to fix them..no money to get more staff for carers..bin men..parks..library ect...but would be idiotic to feel proud at hosting this...mental.

Having a nightmare renewing my season ticket. Couldn't get the email reply with a link to change password. I also seem to have a completely different rangers number. I'm in no man's land, having no idea if I've renewed it or not.. I was wanting to pay it in one go, and not in installments. I was also wanting to potentially look at a different seat. There was no help or even a logical way to navigate the website, as it kept coming up with a blank page with a message which wasn't helpful. But the new rangers number is concerning. Nobody else I know has this happened to. I really need to speak to a human, as the response from rangers is silent.

I had a mare too mate trying to sort this. I emailed Rangers and they were hopeless with a useless reply. It was only when I tagged @RangersFCSLO on a Tweet, Calvin got back to me and managed to get the reset email to me. I then ran into a problem with my Rangers number, I think because it used to have three 0’s at start….only when I dropped these zeros and put in my 9 digit Rangers number was I eventually able to get past that. Whole thing is a huge pain in the arse, hope you get sorted out soon 👍🇬🇧

& a couple of other fans also replied to my Tweet saying they had same problem and they just went straight to this web address https://renew.rangers.co.uk/ and selected reset password in there. I’d already got sorted so didn’t try that but might be another option for anyone still struggling

I'm an Ex-Pat living in Australia but was back in Scotland in 2014 during the Comm game. I went to Ibrox for the Rugby and it was brilliant. I thought the City looked great, felt safe and everyone was very friendly. I even met some Athletes out and about, superb time and great representation of our Country, City and Ibrox. I'm not a Royalist but thought was extremely hilarious to hear God Save the Queen at the Piggery 🤣🤣🤣

The renewal process is a fiasco again. (1) The step by step guide to reset your password doesn't mention dropping the 0s. (2) Why is the timescale for using credit so short? 9am Monday when the emails only go on late Thursday is a joke. (3) Why not just use the credit automatically and ask anyone who doesn't want to use it to opt out? (4) My son is moving from a young adult to full adult. When I go to renew, it yells me he's 18 and needs to pay full price, but the dropdown menu to change to an adult ST doesn't work on either my phone or my laptop. (5) His renewal quoted the 4 installments at the young adult price. I have emailed the ticket office but it really shouldn't be this difficult. Clearly no one has thought about the handful of scenarios for renewals, or tested the systems properly. All very amateurish.

In a parallel universe where the local council isn't riddled with republican filth, this would be a great opportunity to fund some regeneration near the stadium like the unwashed received in the lead up to 2014. Reopen the old train station next to the motorway some investment in facilities etc. Also on the hope that this would be funded by the UK Gov or Commonwealth committee rather than local taxoayers

There's been so much noise and controversy around this fixture I'm certainly not taking 3 points for granted. Especially if we end up playing on a pitch like Dens Park or at St Johnstone.
