Must have been a hard update to record.. I have only just seen the ‘lowlights’ from the game. An utter shambles. Just glad I was on the golf course or my telly might have been launched! Cheers for the pod will give it a listen later 👍

One of the biggest issues for me -when thinking back- is that in games the players never seem to be able to change things themselves. When we are bad we are bad for a full half. Or in yest case, the full 90. Nobody has the in game intelligence it seems to tell a mid to sit for 10 mins etc... just not good enough

David Campbell

Back to our weekly counselling sessions. Rangers are the only thing in my life that can cause so much anxiety but we all just keep going back. It's gonna be a long end to the season but keep faith with the manager. He will get us sorted out this summer.

No positives after yesterday however I do think that all this pish with the Dundee postponements including all the travel between St Andrews twice and Ross County yesterday has had a negative effect. I’m not giving up on the title just yet. Celtic against the other 4 in the top 6 this season have lost 3 and drawn 1. Rangers have lost 1. Celtic have to go away to Killie after the split who they haven’t beaten this season. The caveat to this is that we had momentum and were playing much better. We will still need to get something at Parkhead imo. It’s so disappointing for all the fans to claw back a lead in the league then throw the towel in like they did yesterday. I seriously hope we haven’t already agreed a new deal with Lundstram. His form along with a few others has fallen off a cliff since the Benfica game at Ibrox.

Colin McL.

Moving into the area of the manager’s rhetoric not matching what we see on the field. We’ve been here before.

Dennis Macdonald

The title was over last week against the scum as far as I was concerned. Yesterday I felt nothing but apathy. To walk around the park last week with clenched fists after that first half display was minging.

Jamie Gilchrist

We were 3 minutes into that game yesterday and could already tell it had a “Martyn and Andy Flagship” written all over it!

Jim McCutcheon

Real shit show off a performance 😐, can we retrieve this for the league title don't think so I've went from being really upbeat about our title chance too deflated we don't have any chance now 🙃,

Mark Sheen

I’ve said it many times over the years that these Rangers players think some games are won before they even kick off. It’s happened so many times over recent years that we aren’t hungry and almost treat the game as a formality, that’s what folk mean when they question mentality

David Mackie

That squad have shown us time and again they are bottlers and don't have the mental strength to get over the line or for that matter battle for a win when the breaks are going against you. Still fully behind the manager but squad needs serious surgery starting with the Calamity Two of Tav & Goldston.

Brian Auld

If going for a title doesn’t motivate you then you shouldn’t be at Rangers. End of story. Outfought, outplayed and some of them clearly just have a performance like this in them as they have shown multiple times before so it’s time for a few to go. Clement hasn’t seen a performance like that yet but we all have.

C. J

Tactically we have such short memories. We think that our squad are so superior that we can act cavalier and get away with it. Our best runs of play in the last five years have come when we have used a modern “box” midfield with two defensive midfielders and a single 10. Pep, Arteta, Ancelotti all use it at the elite level but we think Lundstram can stroll against an entire attack by himself. Daft. We have such an archaic view of the game in our own league. We no longer have the technical superiority that we had in the 1990s. We have to respect our opponents more & our lack of regard for other squads in the league, leads to complacency in the market. Our midfield has been weak for years.

Graham Roy

Could easily post my comment from last Monday! Defence is awful and needs changed both short term and long term!

Graham McCallum

Rangers have just announced if it’s moved to St Johnstone’s ground. Fans that had tickets for Dens will be able to attend 😊

Stuart McWilliams

If we're going to play one holding midfielder then it needs to be someone with a degree of mobility. I've lost track of the number of goals we've lost because Lundstram (and whoever is lined up alongside him) doesn't track a run into the box.

Brian Rae

The realisation that we've handed them 40m+ hit me this morning despite still thinking that there will be twists and turns in the coming weeks. The spine of the team isn't good enough and hasn't been for 3 seasons. The "leadership" that is often spoken about may not be the type that we require. The manager needs to be heavily backed in the summer with no expense being spared using our new recruitment model. There also needs to be a player turnover similar to Gerrard's first season. Will it happen? I have my doubts but if it doesn't, we'll likely be looking for another new manager come October and the cycle of failure will continue. We CANNOT go into next season with Goldson etc as the first picks.

Martin Boyd

Rant away David. Surprisingly I wasn’t even angry or upset yesterday it was as if it was expected. I suppose the history we have with this group of players doesn’t actually generate any confidence.

Rona Bluebell

Feel so low today but H&H always helps to shake it off. So glad David and the podders are there and hugely appreciate their input. Not easy at times. Hey ho, we go again.

CRAIG CASSELLS

Gutted but shouldn't really have been shocked that this team shit the bed once more as soon as a little pressure was applied. Unrealistic but I never again want to see Goldson, Barasic, Lundstram, Dessers and Silva wear the Rangers shirt.

Scott Kerr

Clement has to change things next season if he is allowed and has money, If not then these players get him the sack!!!

Colin Mathie

Tav just needs to stfu, its the same crap all the damn time.

Graeme Smith

I thought the Motherwell defeat would have been the wake up call but apparently not. How can they start so poorly so often. That Hearts game (5-0) seems like a lifetime ago. Mind that time we were disappointed we didn’t beat Benfica away. How can they be so complacent? I know the manager talks publicly about not looking at the league table but maybe, with 5/6 games to go, he should have it plastered all over the dressing room.

Chris Macfarlane

I asked the same question re: moral / morale. It’s of little consequence, but ‘moral’ victory makes no sense. Hoping it’s just a language problem. Beale’s nonsense made all of that so much harder to take. Let’s not go back there!

Chris Macfarlane

How do folk feel about a Balogun / Soutar defence? Big Goldson played his way out the team IMO. We need options.

Leslie White

Todays Podcast should be compulsory for the Squad to listen too, and for players not to concentrate on their Bank Books. As for Tav and his, must learn Mantra after a defeat, call it out like Allan McGregor did in the 55 Title, the one, one draw against Hamilton, when he said, “We were Rubbish!”

Graham Jones

We need to see a positive reaction on Wednesday and not see anything like we saw yesterday for the rest of the season. They are in a title race, and they need to face up to that, because I’m not sure many of them have. They have to close ranks now and stick together to get only wins from now till the last kick of the ball. I just don’t buy the whole nonsense around the Dundee game. This was designed to disrupt, end of story. The evidence is that they could’ve played this game at McDairmid Park weeks ago when the original game was called off, if they were interested in doing things properly.

Craig

What if the pitch passes an inspection tomorrow and then it pisses down overnight?

Tamus

C***s man. Absolute c***s!

Tamus

I cant understand why Captain Disappointed isn't on your list. The free pass that guy gets from so many Rangers fans is incredible. A defender who can't defend and who ALWAYS blames others for his mistakes

Colin Carstairs

This leadership group off the park has lead to 3 previous incumbents being sacked.. Not one of them stood up to be counted on the park yesterday They took the easy route out which it me is the easiest thing to do when things on the park aren’t going well.. When talent doesn’t work hard then hard work will beat talent all day everyday as the saying goes. Asking this team to go to Parkhead to get a result fills me with dread.. we all know they are going to go out & go for it for the 1st 20-25 mins & we will capitulate as no leaders on the park, players not willing to take responsibility for their own actions on it. This group always take the easy options whether that’s when we are winning or getting scudded. Rant over till Dundee 🥹

C. J

Dowell & Cantwell beside Lunny is a disaster. We need two disciplined midfielders to cover for our slow-yet-high fullbacks. Borna and Tav are slow senior pros playing in the most mobile position on the park. Having 1 (another slow senior) guy cover both of those flanks is mental.

Chris Macfarlane

Y’know I thought the same after the Motherwell game. It’s sad to say, but plenty in that side will be happier chasing. Then they can say “ah well” if it doesn’t work.

Spoon

Enjoyed the approach by PC and he has worked minor miracles with what he has but…. I wonder if making out the end result last week from players excused the absolute disgraceful start was worthy of the lap of honour. I understand he is managing the fragile psyche of some of these guys but we need to stop pretending ok or decent is exceptional, or in this case worthy of acclaim. Telling guys a 3-3 draw at home to your closest challengers for the leagues a good result isn’t the right message. If he genuinely thinks Lundstrum is an on field lieutenant then we might well have bigger issues than we thought. The impact of the last two weeks implosion is sobering and while we can all point at defence, midfield or attack as our preferred focus of blame the reality is the team and squad remains light on true quality. Goldson is a decent defender, no more, Tav is a better offensive option than defensive, Lundstrum is ok but slow and ponderous in midfield, Dessers is ok but no more than that. In fairness to Dessers and Tav it’s fine to highlight their flaws, which are apparent, but you also have to say without either of their goals we would be in an even worse position and we still just don’t score enough across the team. Another big summer coming….

CRAIG CASSELLS

I get that many have lost faith in Tav and I obviously can't deny he has cost us many goals but I still believe he brings positive numbers to the side but I respect your opinion to disagree. One thing I will say is that I have never seen or heard Tav blame other for his fuck ups, he most definitely isn't a Connor Goldson in that respect

Steffen McAndrew

It comes back to the spine of the team. We need 2 centre halves, one centre midfielder and 2 strikers.

Martin Sutherland

The worst thing about it is no one is surprised. We were all waiting on this. The manager is obviously still blind to the letdowns and he’ll join the previous two managers in the job centre if he doesn’t drop at least two of them. We have other options.
