David I agree with you on most points and I’m not “defending” or intentionally offending any position here but just a thought I had. Re value of Scottish game, eyes on big games etc, surely it would be better to move to a lunch time KO as that has hopefully little impact on travelling fans as a lunch time game isn’t that out of the realms. Then it could have super Sunday type vibes for watching neutrals/drive higher tv coverage and perhaps in turn give the incompetent plebs that negotiate our tv deal some much needed help. Any way just a thought and I’m not hugely bothered but thought it was worth a shout!

You’re probably right but I just think we already compromise enough for TV. We have to have some traditions and Cup Final at 3 is one I like!

Would be happy to have Miovski. Wasn't convinced with Danilo when he was fit - would certainly retain Dessers if one had to go. Controversial view I'm sure! Finally if I hear 'Roofe is the best natural finisher we have!' again one more time I'll blow a gasket!!!! Evidence? It's a mythe - he's never fit to substantiate the claim.

I can’t help but think we’d be at least 2 points clear of Celtic if we had got Miovski or Shankland in January. Others may disagree of course. Just a feeling.

Enjoyed the listeners question today and was thinking that surely not many transfer deals nowadays are structured in a way where the full fee is expected up front. So if we were to sign Cortes and Sima and Diomande joining then presumably we are paying those fees over 2 or 3 seasons with various performance clauses attached. I can’t see us paying Aberdeen what they want for Mioski. I trust Koppen to find us our own gems in the summer for less money and better wages.

I don’t disagree about getting shankland and Miovski but I have my doubts either hearts or Aberdeen would have been easy to deal with. We don’t want dragged into a bidding war which is exactly what would have happened. Regarding Dessers stats they sound good but in reality if you had to choose Dessers or Kyogo to score in the next 2 old firm games as disappointing as it is Dessers ain’t the favourite!

Seem to remember last time we played St Mirren away we created nothing but a half chance and Dessers finished with some quality - he had no service that day bar one chance and won us 3 points..

I think Miovski would be an absolutely brilliant signing. Probably out of our price range though unfortunately. Not sure on his contract situation but I’d imagine Aberdeen will be after a hefty fee for him, particularly to sell to us.

Miovski is possibly valued out of our price range now. There are sides down in England and on the continent who are watching him. It doesn’t mean we don’t ask or make an offer, but would Aberdeen sell such a good player to us. Would it be worth it for them to face a huge backlash from their support? I’m not sure Shankland will be on the list, because Hearts want far too much for him. There is also a considerable difference in resale value between Shankland and Miovski. I’m less hard on Dessers, because I remember Ally McCoist and Mark Hateley having some torrid times early in their Rangers careers. They did score in big games, and scored a lot of big goals, but they also had times when they were questioned by the support in the same way. I think we’ll keep Dessers in the summer unless we are offered a chance at a quick profit on him, because he still contributes.

Sorry.. But I'm view on Dessers.. He's is shite... He's like a elephant with a a beach ball! Now and again, he scores and worldly.. But I can count them on 1 hand with them.. If we had Danilo up front, I'm convinced, we'd be top and clear of them on Points and goals..

I'm not saying he's a Ronaldo But he's easier on the eye to watch and I do believe he'd have scored half of dessers misses, if... He was in that position.. Dessers just frustrates me so much... I just can't take to his style of play.. But thats just my opinion.. And I know he's all we've got just now, and I hope he can't win us the league with his chances he does score.. And will be grateful But I'll never take to him to his style of play..

Imagine how our season might have been had dessers been up to speed right away and Sima hadn't got injured ? As had that been the case their numbers would have been title winning from 2 of our strikers

On balance I would say we should sign more of the best players playing in Scotland. Regardless of where they’re from. Some of these guys are actually quite good!
