As the site continues to chart game-by-game every Rangers manager since 1998, we've hit one of those periodical gaps between permanent managers. In the first of his temporary spells, Graeme Murty was asked to step up from reserve coach to take the team after Mark Warburton's departure.

In Part One, the boys go through the opening four matches of his first interim spell. Next episode will feature the last two and the appointment of Pedro Caixhina.

Too late to suggest “Deep Down and Murty” ad a title? A Stereo MCs banger

Greg

I hate this sniveling little coward.

Craig Murphy

Zip chewing for beginners part 1

1sr question. I can't place the theme music. Sounds New Order-ish? (Never placed the Le Guen music either)

Steff Clarke

Obviously the Pedro Files is the wrong team, so I'm pitching the Caixinha Monologues, or What is Pedro is Prologue for the academically oriented

Graham Roy

God it was awful at this time! I remember even Celtic fans took it easy on us!

Scott

Might give this a miss…

I can usually find a way to laugh about most things. Gallows humour and all. There is nothing even remotely funny about this period of our history. I came close to bursting into tears when you read out the team for the Dundee game.

John Davidson

I stand by my suggestion of The Bushfucker Trial for the Pedro show.

John Smith

Murty Mania is the obvious title. When the dogs follow the caravan, make it happen

Jack Skinner

Bit late to pitch ideas last week. Hoping for caixinha's caravan of pain with caravan of love as the ironic music choice

Steff Clarke

@jackskinner Living on the (h)edge for the Pedro Parenthesis.

That Inverness trip was interesting. Lost my strip in the stands, Terry Butcher called me a 'yeti' on the TV and I was all over the Internet, topless, with a rangers stetson on, labeled 'fat messi'(I had kinda long bleach blonde hair at the time, as did Messi). Then very very nearly missed the supporters bus home, because I was too pished to find it in the car park 😂

Great pod , Rob Kiernan to me ( could be wrong) is just one of those footballers who succeeded to the level they did due to be being physically better developed in his age group whether that be 12/14/16/18 etc but when they reach the man game they can't kick on as everyone he plays against is already " developed " and it's the first time in his life he hasn't the physical advantages and as it turns out the mental advantages and he doesn't kick on in fact it's the opposite he regresses

Gary Brown

Gotta expand on this, make it a Rangers Tale for the Daily Update pod. It sounds so 'bad' it's absolutely brilliant.👏👍🫡😆

Thanks for the pod lads. I feel a huge amount of sympathy for Murty. Thrown in at the deep end of a shit pit. Everyone going 'not qualified to do the job' but then getting all pissy about it when he couldn't. No shit Sherlock!Warburton couldn't do it with that team, his team, at that time. The fault lies entirely with those who appointed Murty. But it's that poor sod's legacy that's been ruined ever since.

Great pod. Tough times!

Oh that headstand by Murty still makes me laugh
