1995 best single: 1979

Ally Mair

Sorry Colin but gangstas paradise , as that lot have stole it ( as they always do with songs ) I can’t vote for u

Ally Mair

Oasis and blur ! Yeh sorry David it’s yours 😂

John Palmer

If this was Mortal Kombat then OASIS Wins, You Lose

Kev Roberts

Another win for David. I think we should start a little league table keeping tabs on who has the most wins

Samuel Campbell

I like Blur but County House was absolutely shite. Single of 1995 should have been Girl From Mars by ash but I am slightly biased

Simon

Listened to Stanley Road recently for the first time in over twenty years. Forgot how good an album it was.

Simon

Also, ban greatest hits. It's not an album, it's a compilation.

Grand Prix by Teenage Fanclub is such a good album, their mention reminded me of Leftism by Leftfield, released in the same year, also a superb album but different genre. Enjoyed the conversation.

Great listen, 1995 was a great year for music. Another win for David I think for me. Listened to this on way to game yesterday maybe not the idea with an 8 year old in the car but lily always has a giggle when David swears 🤣🤣

Martin Davies

David was the clear front runner but fell at the last - I just can't abide that Edwin Collins song and therefore Ross gets my vote. I had completely forgotten about Black Grape but I see they are playing a venue in Ayr in a few weeks time, might go along for a bit of nostalgia.

East Enclosure

One of the Best concerts I ever went to, Oasis at Sheffield Arena, pleaded with the bus driver to drop us at Bathgate on way home and when the bus stopped on the M8 to let us off we got off and as the bus drove off we realised we were at about Salsburgh 🤦🏻‍♂️, no mobile phones 📵 back then so a trek across the fields to find a phone box to phone my dad at 530 on a Sunday morning, 🎸 great gig but

Bob McMillan

Colin had a nightmare here 🤣 David has to win but a few belters.

Heart and Hand

I hung out with Tim at a gig he was playing in at the Jack Daniel's distillerty in Tennesee. I'd won a competition and we spent a week in Nashville then two days at the distillery.

Ross Adair

Cheers Martin, y’know it makes sense. Plus need all the help I can get 😅

Ross Adair

Mind there was a lyric in Reverend Black Grape about the Pope being in cahoots with the Nazis. Staunch! 😅

Ross Adair

Nice one Stevan. Wasn’t really my bag but had some pals into Leftfield and went along with them to their Barrowlands gig in early 96. It was bedlam. The pills were strong that night 😅
