Rangers keep the title dream alive with a comfortable victory (in the end) against Kilmarnock. David reports.

Ronald Fraser

Ref was atrocious first 20 mins . Silva out of order and out of form 🙄

Billy Forrester

A mad and quite poor first half, much better 2nd half but we need to be at it for the whole 90 next Saturday. Can we do it, heart says yes and head says no but football is crazy. Let’s just give it 110% from minute 1 and see where it takes us

Andrew Hind

We are long overdue a performance and win against that mob from this team, one last chance for some players to show us something

SunnyC

What was with the electronic scoreboards showing celtic rather than Kilmarnock at one point? It was a daft afternoon indeed!

Mr J K Murray

CL may not be quite ready for us, hic, be interesting how this all plays out, ty,

John Johnston

Looking very dapper today, I hope you had the brown brouges on today.

Russ

Would love to see us start Sterling in the middle and go man for man at their place. Show some courage and don't be left wanting. We can do this!

Davie R

Difficult watch at times but we made chances and are still in it. Want to be positive but its hard to get fully on board with the idea that this group of players have the belief to go to Parkhead and win. Dessers decision making is inexplicable

Jim McCutcheon

Sterling i thought was very good again he's a player who gives his all , ,thanks David agree with your take on silva 👍

David Young

Butland should have came for the ball!

Spoon

Comments spot on David, I thought until his goal Souttar had been ropey, Lundstrum was negative half the time and positive in equal measure, Silva was poor bar the goal and Dessers had a Dessers day but worked hard. Weird game, good result, good spells but overall still didn’t lift the hopes for next week to quite the level I hoped. One positive is the players who came in or off the bench did add something and it’s good to have more fit players to choose from. It would be interesting to see how the season could have panned out if a few more could have stayed fit and give the manager genuine completion and options. You could tell in 5 minutes we were up for it today and the goal could have derailed it fair play to them for scrapping for the four goals although it was ugly at times. On balance it was more positives than negatives, let’s hope they also take something from it into next week.

Graham Jones

It’s progress from last week and the previous week. Three wins in a row is all you can ask for until they find better form. They will either sin or swim next Saturday. A win or nothing, it’s that simple. If we win then it’s gives us a chance, and it gives them something to think going to rugby Park, which they haven’t won at this season. I hear people calling for more goals, but the main thing is three points. We’v e shown that we’re not a high scoring side at this point, so looking for six or seven is unrealistic. I don’t care how we do it at Parkhead, but we’re due one over there. If a winner bounces off Dessers arse in the last seconds of the game, I don’t care. Three points are al that matter next week. We can look at goal difference after that

James Anderson

How long can we continue to see Tav contrive to lose games in the first ten minutes

James Anderson

Next week we need to have energy to win the midfield battle

David Innes

I realise I’m clutching at straws but the fact that we’re the underdogs and 2 of our best performances under Clement were away to Betis and Benfica is giving me a bit of hope

Alan Riddell

We can but hope and a great thing to hold onto. But I fear this group just don’t have it In them to win at the pigsty. Agree with DE that we need to start better or we could be in for a long afternoon, particularly if we allow that mob and their fannies to get their tails up.

Gregg

Would love it if we can get an early goal - let’s see how they react

Jamie

Good result on paper but no way we winning the league.

Bixby Snyder

Agree. Would be interesting to see Diomande at 10 with Sterling and Lundstram behind him.

Martin Davies

Anyone else pissed off with the lack of intensity at 3-1 with 20 mins to go vs 10 men? Passing the ball along the halfway line and players more eager to mukk applause than get off the pitch and get the game restarted. This title could come down to goal difference and the attitude of the players isn't good enough.

Derek Stevenson

Sterling, Diomande and Lawrence for me. Put Lawrence onto McGregor without the ball, and Lawrence has more on the ball quality than Cantwell behind the striker. And in my opinion, Lawrence is more of a bastard than Cantwell for these games.

David Kiltie

That said, Martin, with our ropey defence if we had gone gung ho we might have conceded on the break and faced a late sweat to secure the 3 points.

David Kiltie

With Yilmaz back at LB and McCausland looking lively, then Sterling could step into midfield next week, the area where Old Firm matches are usually won or lost.

Martin Davies

Very true David, but if we can't keep the back door shut vs 10 men we have major problems. Most important thing was 3 ooints but can't help think that was a missed opportunity to close the goals gap

Spoon

Yeah he did well, Ridvan was fine and Lawrence like a few we have seems sometimes better as an impact guy than a starter.

Spoon

Fair comment but more positive with some players and some spells in the game than I had been for a few weeks. Who knows how the psychology turns if we do go there and turn them over, not sure they take all remaining points, challenge is can we push them or put them under e light pressure ourselves.

Stephen Strong

Looking very dapper yesterday David 👌
