I thought Cortes looked a really promising prospect and better than Silva, Matondo, McCausland and Wright. Also fits the bill of someone we can sell on later for profit. 🤞he is fully fit.

Gary Q

Love that song.

David Herd

Totally agree about the need for more goals from wide men and midfielders. That was so important in the title win under Gerrard when we saw the likes of Kent, Aribo, Arfield and Hagi all chip in with important goals.

Gregg

Good news on Cortes - seems sensible to either loan or renegotiate the fee given the small sample size/ injury.

Johnnie Mitchell

Daily tale 👏🏻😂 Best wishes to Brian 💙🤞🏻

Alan Bradley

What price for a Willie Johnston in our side nowadays, goals, assists, pace to burn, two footed and the occasional header too?

Greg

Wow, Mr daily tale sounds like an absolute throbber.

Gregg

All the best Brian

Tom

Yes Michael Beale absolutely is, that's a fact check true.

Fraser Ritchie

Telling a rangers players dad their sons pish. What a riddy

G Dewar

A horrific case of second hand embarrassment listening to that Daily tale.

Gareth bennie

When you said Rafael there, I thought you were going to say ‘Rafael Santos Borre’! 😳😳

John Davidson

Strange choice of Daily Tale after yesterday's comments about behaviour towards players outside of the stadium.

Robert Atkinson

Scott Wright has twice the number of league goals this season as Ross McCausland.

Mr J K Murray

ty sir, through & up todate where our ball is going, yors March Into Battle by Sally Forth, hic

Heart and Hand

Same amount overall and has been here for years as opposed to a guy in his debut season. Not a fair comparison.

Heart and Hand

I think the writer had expressed himself clumsily. My reading of it is he said that CD is better reactive than with time to think. Not sure his dad would have sat all night with them otherwise! But we don’t ever edit or rewrite the tales. Timing was because I wanted to wish Brian well.

Rona Bluebell

You have to admire the restorative powers of football. Based on very little, I’m suddenly optimistic! ☀️☀️☀️

Doug

Scott Wright has zero league goals this season, his two goals came one in each cup. He also has no assists in any competitions. McCausland has 1 league goal and 2 assists, plus a goal in Europe and an assist in the Cup (plus a goal/assist in the Challenge Cup too).

David Innes

Pleased to hear the news about Cortes - I think he’s the type of player we’ve been needing for years

Colin Campbell

It was me who sent the daily tale today, I told CD auld man what everyone on this forum say everyday & shout every time CD misses a chance , I like CD & give him my support , his father understood everything I said to him , I don’t hide behind a keyboard , no surrender 🔴⚪️🔵WATP

David Baillie

Wonderful player Alan. Had everything you would look for in a wide player including tremendous bravery and my personal criteria for any Rangers player, a bit of devil. Why don’t we produce players of any real quality in this country any more? I blame the SFA. A dereliction of duty over 40 years have seen standards at all levels slip year on year. We have gone from a country who had 4 different teams involved in European finals in 61, 67 (x 2), 72, 83 and 87 with largely Scottish players to a nation who’s provincial clubs can barely make it through August on a regular basis.

Colin Campbell

Thank you to all the comments re my mate Brian 🔴⚪️🔵no surrender was the cry 💙

A little surprised that the Cortes move is being made permanent when he's been injured for 60% of the time he's been here. I hope it works out, but increasingly availability is what needs to be looked at imo.

JimGLW

Excellent David. You are right that the team have the platform to do it. Well summed up as you do so well.

Heart and Hand

Thanks Jim. I hope that’s how they’re looking at it. They have a huge opportunity to go prove themselves.

Ross Russell

Rodrigues. Only 26 appearances, 4 goals, 2 assists, with Macarthur. So hard to tell really. He's young, strong and confident. Father played 10 years in Europe before moving to Adelaide Utd, so has some pedigree. Bit of a gamble, but if that's the direction our recruitment needs to go he won't cost much.

Gary Brown

Thanks for the update David 👍 Cortes looked good. Looking forward to seeing him develop as a Rangers player. The fanbase will have to adapt their mindset to the player trading when it takes off. The Gaffer has done it at Bruges & Genk, so will want it to happen here, it's the only sustainable way a club like ours can survive and thrive. Our players need to be moved on for top dollar, at the peak of their potential / performance at Rangers in the SPFL - ie the time we as fans would least like to see them go. The team have defied the odds, (and 'eye test' of plenty!) already this season in league and especially European games. They know what they need to do for every remaining game. Have hope they can do it, even if you don't personally believe they can (and take a look back, see how many times they've already proved you wrong this season!) Support them, all of them. Keep fighting bus conveyor Brian, wishing you victory and a speedy recovery.

Appreciate that the main reason you probably read that daily tale out was because of the well wishes at the end and I echo that. Onto the point though.. I don’t rate Dessers much and have got frustrated with him an awful lot this season. However, telling his Dad that his son is effectively pish is below the belt. I understand the point the contributor was trying to make but even then there’s a time and a place and that behaviour is David Brent type patter. Really poor behaviour to approach a player’s family like that. One quality I appreciate about Dessers is his attitude of never giving up or hiding from the fans and by the sounds of it, his old man has the same qualities too.

Jim Bennett

Agree with your comments about Ross Wilson, I remember when Aaron Ramsay was signed & he saw the fans outside the Ibrox main door, Wilson was clearly seen in the background grinning like a Cheshire cat. Well we all know how that ended, the whole Ramsay scenario was predicted by an English podder who specialised in Italian football, what he said about Ramsay's likely future at Rangers came so sadly true. A podder saw that, but an "experienced" Director of Football didn't.
