Mario Zagallo definitely

An interesting concept. Also quite a good debate to have on a Rangers mount Rushmore. You can only pick 4. Any 4 from Rangers history

Gregg

Rinus Michels for me - changed football.

Graeme Burns

Helenio Herrera Bela Guttman Rinus Michels Bob Shankley Each invented something, brought something to the game that had never been done before and all have significant success.

Miguel Sanchez

The story of Mount Rushmore is hysterical in itself. It's not even finished as they were supposed to have carved bodies as well not just floating heads also they completely ran out of money and the sculptor died if anything its miraculous it became a weird cultural thing that people know of

George Higgins

Recency bias will skew this. The biggest change in football occurred in the late 19th century when Queens Park revolutionised world football by introducing the passing game. Find out who their coach was when that was introduced and you’ve got the first head on the mountain.

George Gair

Herbert Chapman, revolutionised tactics in the 20s/30s Changed the team kit to what we know now, apparently it was easier to spot team mates (not convinced myself) Persuaded London underground to name the local station after the club

Simon

Great concept Andy loads of options from football, pop culture and even best types of food (crisps, burgers, pies) . Endless options. So what are you doing for the next one?

Steven Miller

Very good show, enjoyed it 👍🏻

Good show, thanks lads and a good concept Andy. Bielsa? Pep in particular cites him as a massive influence tactically, in personal commitment and man management. Rinus Michels. No him no 'total' football, no Barca as we know them, no Cruyff at Barca as player or coach, no Pep. Michels move to Barca was at such a pivitol time in Spanish political & football history. Such open push back against state (& state sponsored team) in a 'rebel' province was brave by both man & club. He was possibly the only one able to even attempt the football and social 'uprising' as Barca manager at the time (ably assisted by Cruyff). Doubtful any German or Brit could or would apply Dutch freedom of thought & no fear to express it + gain the backing of the effectively outlawed Catalans. That was one really big & powerful, Real Madrid supporting, fascist, totalitarian Dictator he was poking a stick into!

Ross Whitehead

Can't believe Jimmy Hogan wasn't mentioned.

Great show, looking forward to the next subject matter. One thought. If I was to take my blue tinted glasses off another manager might come into contention. Who? Jock Stein. Why? Because BIG JOCK KNEW 😳😳😳😳😳

Graeme

Is there another like the draft shows? Not being biased, but Bill Struth is in the conversation. Or have I missed the point?
