I’ve been confused with Clement’s use of Sterling. He was an absolute revelation in the midfield, but almost immediately was used to fill in at full-back or winger. Obviously there have been injuries, but we need to play our best, most influential players in the correct position.

Colin Wieland

It really is mental. Four games off a treble and really do any of us feel it? That lot are nothing special, they certainly not Real Madrid. Hearts beaten them twice. So have Kilmarnock ffs. They lucky to get a win against St Mirren. I know our record is shite at the piggery but is it really out of the realms of possibility? They have players that turn up in this fixture. With us not so much. It's time for ours to fucking man up.

Gregg

For me he’s useful in midfield in certain games - Saturday being one of them. He gives energy and physicality. I don’t think he’s suited to a lot of other games when the onus is on us to dictate - he’s not got a great passing range and can look clumsy at times.

Alan Weir

Fair points. I do feel, with good coaching, he is young enough to improve the weaknesses you correctly identify. I do think a team could be built around Sterling and Diomande.

We need to go in for once with attack in mind. I don’t mean go gung-ho but we must cut out the negative passing, the collapsing back and inviting pressure especially with the slack back passes some of our players are obsessed with. At the start of the last few games the midfield and defence actively play each other into bother or out each other under pressure and it drops our field position back. They will come at us but we need an out ball and intent. The frustration recently has been our desire to give up possession easily and to leave guys isolated up front expecting them to craft something out of nothing. Lundstrum or whoever cannot drop back into defence it’s criminal and it doesn’t work. Adam spot on around legs especially up front, we sell our strikers short constantly as most of the time is watching them from the halfway line terrified we lose possession. Celtic have played us like we play the jobbers. They build momentum and peg us back until they force a mistake. We need to change it and learn not just constantly watch the same movie. It’s fair from those who highlight that Dessers conversion rate can seem to the eye wasteful but, give. He is what he is and does have talents instead of blaming him for what he isn’t we should build around and compliment what he is and play to his strengths. Give him service and craft him chances he is great in the box so we need to crest the chaos he thrives in. Let’s keep the shots coming in and let’s be positive. We can win this with a bit of belief that not only can we compete but we have the intent to carry it to them. I can forgive if we go out and have a go, what I can’t watch is us giving up territory and half the game before we find belief and start playing. I think if we can do it but we will all know very quickly if the team fancy it and it’s our day, we all can see and feel it when matches start. Let’s hope even just by law of averages we turn in a performance, the momentum is going to the right way maybe it’s going to be our day.

And you know what. This wouldn't be a 90s treble when we were pissing the league as a matter of course. This would be the greatest treble in the clubs history by a mile. From where we were it just shouldn't have been possible. These players have the opportunity to write themselves into Rangers folklore. Just fucking grasp it please.

Gazza G

Fully agree m8. Someone who wins possession and recycles it is useful no matter the opposition. He will only develop other skills if left in there.

Mark Harvey

Butland, Tav, Souttar, Davies, Yilmaz (if fit), Lundstram, Sterling, Diomande, Sima (if fit), Dessers, Mcausland. That's how I'd line up. We can't win this game in the first half but recent history shows we can lose it. We need to keep it tight for as long as possible then use options like Cantwell, Lawrence and Silva from the bench.

Colin Campbell

Really hope Sima is fit, assumed he wasn’t!

Graham McCallum

Friday night my 2 sons and I will be watching One day in May. Hopefully that will fire up the battle fever

Niall P

Too much fear over playing Celtic. Play the match, not the opposition or the occasion.

John Smith

I can’t explain but as the match draws ever closer, I am strangely growing in confidence

John Jamieson

The issue i see with cantwell is he takes up good spaces but never gets the ball so he seems to let the game pass him bye

Stigger

Great pod lads. Very positive. I pretty much agree with your line up. Hopefully the team take it to them! WATP

Alastair McGeoch

I’m going full Walter Smith with this one, 4-5-1: DF: Butland, Tav, Balagun, Soutar, Davies MF: McCausland, Sterling, Lundstrum, diamonde, Silva: ST: Dessers. Kill the game and atmosphere straight from KO and get them frustrated. 2nd half go more expansive, Ridvan for Davies, Cantwell for McCausland, Matondo for Silva, if simas fit sling him in also

Jamiedfa

Great pod lads a good to hear Adam on the H&H Extra pod again WATP!
