We cannot go into 2024/25 season with Scott Wright in our squad. We need this position to be a youngster, potentially Scottish, that comes in and doesn’t necessarily need to hit the ground running but one to be back up right wing with the potential to grow We need to try our very best to keep Sima. The only player we’ve had in a wide position in years who has numbers and more left to grow for the player trading model

Got to say Hoggy, with all due respect, the claim that Lewis Ferguson wouldn't get into our 22/23 midfield is way off. The signs were there when he signed for Aberdeen, never mind Bologna that he should have been bought.

If we sell Butland, I would seriously consider giving McCrorie his opportunity. He’s not a kid anymore. He’s had first team football elsewhere, and he’s done very well in my opinion whenever we’ve called upon him. I also don’t think you need a world class keeper to win our league, I think we’re guilty of romanticising the position somewhat because we’ve been so blessed in that position. But I’d much sooner give McCrorie the chance instead of going out and spending £m’s on someone. On top of that, if McCrorie doesn’t get an opportunity next season, he has to leave or his entire career will be spent on a bench.

Bob MacCallum

Butland should only be sold if the fee is £20 million upwards. Look at the fees for nonentities who go from the EFL to EPL for double figure millions. Tav's wee brother went for 10 million to Bournemouth.

If Lawrence and Wright got a year left then I think PC will try to move them on. He already said that days of players being allowed to run down contracts are gone.

The night before the old firm game, i dreamt that Tav scored a consequential goal. In retrospect and after the fact, thinking on that, i don’t want hope to drag us down. Difficult. Maybe Tav scores that goal in the cup final. He does. Stop it. The manager indicated that actions speak louder than words when it

Sir Alex wouldn't be able to win the cup with the squad we have available just now. Judging Clement's value based on that game is ludicrous.

I don't trust Lundstram not to get sent off early in the final

Bizarro world, firebrand hoggy quoting that toady martin bain!

The fact is they are moving from the EFL to the EPL its a different market, and we can't compare a market flooded with money like England. Butland will never leave for 20. But he could leave for 10-12, which would be a great return.

Kirk Guthrie

I agree about Butland, I can't see him being here next season. I mean, with the performances of the team that he's watched, do we really believe he'd even want to stay? This team is a bin fire and he knows he's better than that.

What everybody always fails to mention when they say “every player will be gone is they bid is high enough” is that if the player doesn’t want to go, and is under contract, then he’s going nowhere. Contracts work both ways

Apropos the museum, the absence of one till last year was a shameful omission, in the same way that it took till 2001 to have a training complex. The museum was part of the NEH development, which I recall received a pretty lukewarm response. I suspect that was because the mood music around the club at the time was so negative. We needed additional revenue streams in view of FFP. Fans had long complained about the poor match day experience at Ibrox, plus the absence of a club museum. NEH addressed all 3 concerns. Interesting discussion re Gerrard. To be considered for the Liverpool job I think he would have needed to prove himself in the EPL. I think there is a touch of revisionism about his tenure. We were top when he left but that was before the filth clicked into gear under Postecoglou. Our form in the months before he left was inconsistent and we missed the chance to seal the title early. His record at Villa, in contrast to his successor’s, and the fact he is now in Saudi, I think shows his level as a manager. Today we lament the end of a 3rd successive disappointing league season. I think a major wrong turn was just after 55. We had the chance to rebuild - Kent, Morelos, Barisic and Kamara were all at peak value. Three of the four left last summer, a shadow of what they were, and the same scenario with Barisic this summer. The board had pushed the envelope to bring us 55 so we had to sell in order to buy. The last few years have seen one binfire after another in terms of transfer windows. This nonsense has got to stop.

Hoggy, on Sam Lammers, he was a number 9 prior to his move to Atalanta. He did play as a 10 occasionally when coming back from his bad knee injury as he lost pace. His best goal scoring season was as a number 9 and when Beale started saying he was a 10, I was extremely confused and for me, that's when the alarm bells started ringing on our summer recruitment. I said numerous times in the comments after he had another poor game that he was a 9 and it's no suprise to me that he's scoring again when played there. From what I had seen of him in the Netherlands prior to his move to Italy, he is definitely a confidence player and was never the same after his injury.

Michael Gray

That stay or go by you Hoggy gives me shivers. Wright, Lawrence and Dowell all have to go. Squad fillers at very best.

Michael Gray

No chance on £25m coming in for Butland, Tav and Goldson. But if we could…

Can’t got wrong with the Ibrox bar for gers game but if you think that will be too busy, you have the bobbins bar in Costa adeje which is a rangers pub as well, straight across from the old Orlando apartments 👍🏻 But the hospitality and atmosphere at the ibrox bar with Georgie Mac and Shelley is unrivalled or as hoggy says the bluebell in los cristianos
