McLean isn’t any better than the players who just left. Considering his age, transfer fee and salary, would be the most Rangers signing ever.

Has Hagi had a fair crack of the whip with us? He seems to have contributed a lot whilst never really feeling like he was a first pick/popular player. Post injury I really don't think he got any chance. McLean strikes me as someone who could have an Alex Rae style impact on our team whilst we rebuild our squad. I am all for it.

Would rather have a 32 yr old bluenose with loads of experience that can graft in the middle of the park than some of the slow plodding guys that just left. McLean would do a job for us.

Signing an experienced midfielder with a love for the club isn’t the worst idea (see Alex Rae) but to pay 7 figures for one on a high wage and bad injury record is absolute madness. Fingers crossed the Saudi deals go through too 🤞

A 32 year old Norwich midfielder from the English championship just doesn't get the plums pumping I've got tbh Feels like more of the same as what we have been doing.

This might not be popular, however I prefer Hagi to Cantwell as our no 10. Hagi got more goals and assists in his first 18 months at Rangers than Todd. Plus he got numbers in important matches. He is tactically more astute (would fit Clements system better) and has more technical ability. I know he isn’t the fastest but neither is Todd. There is a reason Hagi if sold would likely end up at a Galatasaray than Cantwell who would end up lower end of the championship.

I agree with that for the long term , however if we were to keep one of them in this rebuild I would choose Hagi.

Quite pleased if Hagi is to move on tbh. Overrated. Can’t remember many games for us where he’s been any better than a 6/10. Hope he has a good euros and gets a decent move out of it.

We need to get over the idea that players over the age of 30 are geriatrics. There are guys in top level football player in their mid 30s. Just look at the CL final with Nacho, Modric and Reus all featuring and all a few years older than McLean.

Probably had more good games and scored more important goals than Cantwell just doesn't have the catchy song. It's a position we need to upgrade as we currently have no decent options in it

Was starting to show the form we thought he was capable of then got injured. Like every player we have in theat position it's time to let them go and for us to upgrade
