The boys return to show some kind revisionism for the infamous Second Group Phase and some brilliant quarter finals including Chelsea and Barcelona's goalfest, Valencia's take down of in-from Lazio, Bayern sneaking past Porto and THAT back heel from Redondo at Old Trafford.

Had a look at the Valencia v Lazio highlights on YouTube. Thing that stood out was the number of shots , shooting from anywhere. In the CL now teams are more boring trying to Pep the ball into the net.

Thomas Frank was a pundit for Romania v Ukraine and he said he and most EPL managers discourage shooting from distance as statistically it’s less likely to go in so they want them working the ball to get closer before shooting. Definitely a change culturally.

It has been noticeable, well in the bits and bobs I have watched that teams so far have been shooting from outside the box. Hopefully it makes a comeback as nothing is better than a thunder bastard like Thern, Albertz and who can forget Bertie blaster.

Thanks lads. Another great episode.
