Cammy mentioned about McCoist paying respect to the likes of Bob McPhail's record. I was only 7 or 8 when he achieved that, and the only reason I knew it was a big deal is because of how McCoist treated it. I knew McPhail was a legend when I was still too young to understand. A couple of years after that there were Rangers trading cards brought out - like the American baseball cards - that had current players and legends. I remember being really excited to get my Bob McPhail card because of Ally breaking his record.

Thoroughly enjoyed this. An abiding memory I have of McCoist was against Alania Vladikavkaz at Ibrox. He could have had 10 that night, and after missing lots of sitters the fans were moaning. The finger pointing to the fans after he scored as if to say "you should know better"......not sure many other Rangers players EVER would get away with that with our fans, but Super Ally could. Great work as always lads

Legend and Rangers royalty. Definitely not previously, highly unlikely in the future, however we can but hope. And he would happily see someone score that many for Rangers, like all of us too. Super Ally!!!
