I do feel the format of the tournament has proved to be flawed. With so few teams getting eliminated at the group stage, there has been very little to play for in the final games, with virtually all of the big teams sauntering around in slow-motion giving their squad players a run out. You could also argue Round 2 was predominantly cagey, cautious football from the teams who had a point or three from Round One. It’s not been a great watch so far.

Makes you wonder the World Cup will be like with 12 groups

More games with little significance, but the TV companies and FIFA get their desired content. Hopefully the knockout stages give us a little more cut and thrust, rather than the possession-at-all-costs play seen in so many games in Euro 24 so far.

Was at Turkey v Portugal game last .Saturday, the Turkish support completely gave up on them at 1-0, tried to get behind them at on stage in second half and within a minute Portugal scored the third. To be fair stayed to end but were sitting in silence.

Excellent work, lads! Really enjoying the euro shows. They’ve become my daily podcast for catching up with it all.

I hope the guy who reffed Turkey/Czech gets sent home, 18 bookings including 2 reds, he was definitely card happy, knowing uefa he'll get the final.
