I thought we'd have celtic at home for the first old firm as the last one was at parkhesd

chris smith

As expected, the most difficult possible start for what will likely be a brand new team

danny naismith

Rangers were at home first old firm of last season. This year its celtic. Same happens every year

Martin Sutherland

Tough start. With CL qualifiers the pressure could be on going into that OF.

John Myles

Why have we got killie away again in the 1st trench of fixtures are they not meant to flip the following season?

AndyK70

We have Hearts away twice, Sheep away twice, Tarriers away twice pre split. Tarriers have Hearts away once Sheep away once Rangers away once pre split. Sporting integrity my arse. Pub league weighted in favour of them. Time to move south or get the split changed to fixture number 23 onwards after everyone plays everyone home and away then have two more rounds of fixtures

James Milliken

The 2 toughest away fixtures in Scotland are our first 2 away games and like clockwork the "random" fixture generator sends us to the crime scene, 3 days after the Champions League qualifer. Quelle surprise 🙄

Paul Kerr

The 'computer' over the years seems to favour a St. Patrick's wkend Old Firm. Must be the holy ghost in the machine.

Calum Robertson

With Ibrox unavailable to host for the first few weeks are we exploring the option of switching SPFL and SFA "home" matches to "away" until matter resolved? I know it´s not desirable but none of the other options (Murrayfield, Hampden) seem any better.

David Scott

Do we not usually get the 1st game vs them at Ibrox ? its all generated fairly and squarely but the BBC micro computer in the corner.

Baz

Bring it on doesn’t mater who we play it’s all about the 3 points each week

Colin Gardner

We had Hearts and Aberdeen twice at home last season post split. It reverses every season.

Gregg

It switches each year - not sure if you are being serious 🧐

James Milliken

Do you really think if the league is close and all teams finish where they should the league will (or be allowed to.. ) send them to Ibrox, Tynecastle and Pittodrie in the last 5 games of the season?

James Milliken

I see we get to play our back to back away games in between Christmas and New Year ans then 2 games before the split including the other away OF game The "random" computer has really outdone itself this season

Robert White

I just want to be back at Ibrox amongst bears and cannot wait for the UB to be in the CF. Having said that, I'll be earplug loyal!

Samantha Paterson

Edinburgh police don't want fans in Edinburgh in August, if had been more organised and given more notice, maybe Ross County and Motherwell may be open to reversing fixtures

David Kiltie

No doubt the Yahoos will claim that the fixture schedule is part of an Orange-Masonic conspiracy!

David Kiltie

I noticed that - I remember Rodgers’ pathetic moan last season about that lot always playing away in the game immediately after Christmas.

David Kiltie

I remember in Gerrard’s first season we went to their midden at Sunday lunchtime after playing in Russia on the Thursday afternoon. The one instance that the first Old Firm game departed from the norm of late August/early September was the Covid season. Funny that!

Stephen

I’ll do something unusual and be positive. Fixtures flip every year. 2 away pre split one season, it’s one away the following season. Flip the order of the mhanks games. Hearts away to start is tough, but couldn’t be tougher than Killie away last Eason. Positive is that we don’t leave the Glasgow area from the first week of December until the first week of January. No Dingwall, no Aberdeen, no, Dundee, no Edinburgh. That’s a decent Christmas period.

Jim Milne

What is the reason there is no winter break next season?
