So incredibly frustrating to have already handed that mhanky mhob a massive advantage so early in the campaign! Exciting games to look forward to in August but my god what a tough start (when you mix Euro games).

John Smith

I really like Liam Kelly as a goalie. Think he could be developed a lot with us

Charlie Nicolson

I'm wondering if the Liam Kelly signing is pretty much salary neutral set against the departure of Jon McLaughlin. I mean, JM would have been on substantial pay

Peter Hosie

Where’s the update from the club re the refurb as it’s went too silent…

Craig Mitchell

Now that was a top wee tight ten-track no-nonsense, missionary position album. "There's your songs, get on with it ..... " Nice choice David.

Andrew Meldrum

Our first 5 away games are against 5 of the 6 teams most likely to join us in the top 6, I think. Looks like we are going to be playing a few teams away 3 times next season.

Paul

Kieran Wright is still at Rangers David, he should really be moved on. He's 25 and never played. Time for Munn to take that spot. Stop stockpiling younger players into their mid 20's as you always say! They need to play.

Heart and Hand

Couldn’t agree more Paul. You know the best example for me is John Fleck. Hyped up unfairly by Murray for self-preservation then had to go to League One to rebuild his career. Without complaining to anyone, he went, did it and turned himself eventually into an EPL player. Don’t sit and rot at Rangers forever when it’s clear you’re going nowhere here. Go play.

Graham Roy

Feel boat has sailed on shankland he’s too old now for what the manager appears to be wanting. If he was a free transfer then fair enough but don’t see the benefit in paying a few million which you will get nothing back on.

Paul

Spot on. Fleck's a credit to himself, and it highlights a responsibility Rangers has towards its young players. A clear line needs to be drawn. If a player isn't getting close to the first team by 20 or 21, then a loan or permanent move has be the best course of action. Long-term contracts for youngsters can hinder their development, even if it means a good pay packet. Lowry, Yfeko, and others in that situation should be told if they're likely to see first-team football this year. If not, a loan or transfer needs to be sanctioned. Kieran Wright's situation at 25, with less than 100 appearances, is a prime example of this.

Heart and Hand

Couldn’t agree more. Dare I say, Glen Kamara. Bet in the Arsenal academy he didn’t see Dundee in his future but he went there and started a proper career.

John McTrusty

We already developed him. We gave him the platform for his career and he bolted at the earliest opportunity. We now reward that with employment. On top of that, he is not very good and has shown this with many blunders for Livinston and Motherwell. Not for me.

Ross Whitehead

Tears of joy in my eyes when David said there is no winter break this season. Thank fuck for that!

Jim Milne

"fair on everyone else" LMFAO when has Doncaster ever been fair on all teams?

Rona Bluebell

If we have to, make the few games at Murrayfield an event and maximise on that (fact I can get home within 20 minutes isn’t an influencing factor, not at all).

Gareth bennie

Great album David. The best album XTC never released.

John Breen

I’d take shankland because he’s proven in Scotland. That’s end of the conversation for me. And like David said he’s the Hearts captain so he’s a leader

Roy Donlon

Had forgotten all about dogs die in hot cars 😅

Gregg

Same here Rona - if it runs all season, so be it 😂

Graeme McLeod

I don't understand this attitude that we should be wary of signing talent that are proven domestically. The striker we're about to sign is from the Moroccan league, and far from a 30 goal per season striker there. We're signing a Brazilian full back from the Cypriot league. These are far bigger gambles than proven domestic talent. A proven goalscorer that can score in this league trumps the hypothetical sell-on value argument.

Stuart F

The benefit would surely be if he managed to finish top goalscore and if we won the league and qualified for the champions league from his goals. Its not all about selling players for profit. It's about time we won some trophies again

Russ

I agree on Munn, give him a year under Butland and Kelly and then give him a season back at Glentoran. Hopefully when he comes back he'll be ready for another loan in the prem. The club should be forward planning like this in all aspects of the club, although the recent evidence suggests otherwise.

Graham Roy

If is the word we need to consider. It’s also does he fit in managers style if play?

Colin Campbell

I’ve been told shankland& mclean will be our player on the 1st July 🔴⚪️🔵

Scott Watson

I hope we sign Shankland just so we can stop talking about it

Gregg

Used to watch fleck for the reserves when it was on rtv - he was a fantastic player even at 15/16. Suffered from the old Walter tactic of “he’s left footed, stick him on the wing”
