Rangers Sign Scotland International Goalkeeper Liam Kelly

RANGERS can today confirm the signing of Scotland international goalkeeper Liam Kelly on a two-year deal.

Decent signing ✍️

This is good for us but I’ve kinda lost a bit of respect for Liam. He knows he won’t get a game and he’ll be on the bench. Yet he’s happy to sit on the bench and take a wage. We say we have more respect for players that want to play but he won’t 🤷‍♂️

He’s probably thinking Butland won’t be here long term and backs himself to eventually replace him as number 1

I put this comment in the DU thread earlier. I agree with Gregg on this....We already developed him. We gave him the platform for his career and he bolted at the earliest opportunity. We now reward that with employment. On top of that, he is not very good and has shown this with many blunders for Livinston and Motherwell. Not for me.

I’ve got no issues with him leaving John - just don’t think he’s a good keeper.

Stood up and defended my brother when it would have been an easy option to bury his head in the sand and let him take a fall. As Davie said in the DU a leader of men and won’t do us a bad turn 👍🏻

No prizes for guessing who your brother is... Good to hear though. Always liked Kelly, always came across as a good natured lad. Glad to hear he's matured into a leader though.

George Harrison

Has anyone any idea whether Jay Hogarth is part of our goalkeeping plans ? He’s only 20, has a year to run on his deal, has League experience with Alloa where he was voted player of the season, got promotion with Dumbarton last season, and has been capped at every level for Scotland up to U21.
