If results dont go well things will turn toxic very quickly . This stadium shambles adds pressure to manager & team …

Andrew Hillis

Any truth in the rumour that Ibrox won’t be ready until end of October?

Heart and Hand

Nobody can say because it's all dependent on the steel arriving. It's due 21-23 July. So anyone saying a specific date is guessing. Until it's here, there's no way to say.

Defo feels another holding statement which I can understand Any idea if the club have been proactive in speaking with UEFA? I know you were confident but surely we should be trying to get on the front foot and ensure we would be able to move back to Ibrox part way through group stages should it come to that

Stephen

In a way it might take the pressure off the manager as if things go badly everyone will be directing their anger at the board. Don’t think we can sack a manager this season like we usually do when the source of the problem is outwith his control.

Andrew Meldrum

To me, it removes a bit of uncertainty from the last statement. The phrase 'final stages of negotiation ' made me nervous that it could all fall apart. We now know it's definite, we use Hampden until we don't have to. I wanted to know 2 things, where we go, and how long for. Now we know where we go. The next thing I want to hear from the club is the steel has arrived - they should then be able to set out the timeline that gets us home - e.g. 1-3 August, the crane comes off the pitch. 18-25 August , work complete bar safety certificates, Pitch is ready 3 Sept and we can go home once building work signed off.

Graham Jones

To be honest, this board are now going to have to do an awful lot to regain my trust. We seem to have regressed in so many areas, and while the manager has eased some of my concerned with his interview, he has never been the problem. It’s that lot in the boardroom. I expected better from them but they’ve been rudderless since King stood down. I had my issues with him as well, but you knew what direction the club was moving under him. But now? I guess we should be grateful we know where these games will be played, so let’s see if they can make progress with transfers now.

Heart and Hand

I don’t think tge trust can be rebuilt. The board need to appoint a CEO to run the club, stop interfering in day to day decisions and concentrate on overview.

Graham Roy

Appoint an actual CEO and not an internal promotion! Also stop this best in class pish!

Alfie

This must be costing us a FORTUNE. Utter shambolic incompetence it really is.

Gregg

💯- and we can get away with the constant desire “to hear from the chairman”. In a well run business, you don’t save for the agm.

Gregg

Aye that’s what I meant - but we still heard it when we had a CEO

Heart and Hand

True but I think that’s because the way the club have been run with this investor infringement into areas that really should be CEOs. Hopefully lessons are being learned.

Gregg

Hope so - get the right guy, set a strategy/ KPIs, communicate them and let him get on with it. Strange company to run - in that our supporters should be seen as shareholders in how they are communicated to, as they are emotionally invested if not shareholders. It shouldn’t be difficult to work out but we have failed spectacularly to do so for a long time (if ever)

Alan Ferguson

I’ve just about had enough. Never in all my life have I looked forward to the start of a new season with as little excitement and anticipation as this one…..and I remember some really shit days in early 80s! Too many imposters on the pitch and too many amateurs in the boardroom. My biggest fear is Big Phil thinks fuck this I’m off, he’s the only person that gives me a slight bit of hope

Douglas Innes

I think Hampden will be an open agreement with no definite dates , because we may be back domestically at Ibrox but still have Hampden in Europe

Mark Boyd

I hate that football fans have to even know about KPI’s for ceos my papa is turning slowly in his grave 😂

KennyY

Surely Rangers shouldn’t be left out of pocket for this balls up. If guarantees have been given by the contractors that the work would be completed on time then they should be financially penalised for each week that the project is delayed.
