Doug Maclean

Colin. Did you watch the couple of months of the season ? Tav was not taking all the free kicks, corners and throw ins

Ian Andrew

Everyone knows how we play, with Tav going that forces change and will put other teams on the back foot trying to figure out our new way to play. Apart from that and with no disrespect to tav, it’s time he went to pastures new.

Colin

I did watch Doug yes 😃was on here podding after just about every game. Tav was still very much involved in most set pieces particularly free kicks. Him not being an option will be a huge change.

Jim McCutcheon

Yes Colin sad to see if tav is going but the time is right for us and James , we can only thank him for his brilliant service to the club and I wish him all the best for his remaining career 👍

Jack smith

I hope all these experts that want rid of Tav know a good solution to replace his contributions.

Stillsaw

A nice touch from Queens Park. Probably one we owe them now lol. A player on loan for ex

Jason W

Preface this by saying I absolutely love the guy but 5 non penalty goals last season and several defensive blunders leading to goals. We will manage - the time is right.

Baz

All players eventually go that’s the cycle of football but I’m my opinion sterling would be an ideal replacement

Ecky G

No one should doubt the great service Tav has given us through all the years. Not his fault we are financially light years behind our rivals. A fantastic servant to the club.

Gregg

Just back from the stadium tour and museum - anyone who is feeling a bit meh about the club, that will perk you right up. Also - blue sky lounge was really good for lunch. The ladies were saying they’re a bit gutted as they look forward to the season and being busy on match days - if you’re out and about for lunch/ tea maybe give it a bash. Didn’t even think about that unintended consequence.

David Rorrison

Last season, Tav saved us points many a game. However, he was targeted relentlessly towards the business end of last season (how many games did we come very close to losing a goal - from Tav’s side - in first 60 secs ?) and he looked a shadow of himself at times. His age has definitely caught up with him and now is the time to replace him. We will miss his talismanic energy and attitude though, absolutely we will.

Stephen

I love Tav and we will miss him but I think we need to restructure our team so we are not relying on our 32 year old right back to score 20+ goals a season. Would rather we had a right back that defended and a right winger that scored the goals instead. Don’t think he will definitely go to be honest anyway.

Gordon Mac

Tavera would be great guy future in

Simon

Thanks Colin. I appreciate you.

Graham Jones

I think you’re being a bit hard on him regarding the time at the club and only three trophies. You have to take in the circumstances the club were in, and that fact supporters thought it would be easy to start winning titles again. It wasn’t, and it was never going to be easy for a number of reasons. In context, he will be remembered by supporters as a legend of the club, because he did come through the championship with us, stayed in the3 side and went on to lift the title as captain. That’s unheard of these days, and given the financial gulf that existed between us and the only competition in the league for several seasons it was a miracle we did do it after six years. The fact hew went on to play in a European Final as well, something no Celtic player currently has done, is testament to how he kept improving. A players doesn’t survive at Rangers if they stop improving. They have to if they want to stay at a club like ours. We do have wait and see if he does leave first, as the word going around is that the two clubs are a ,million pounds adrift in evaluation. The player can agree all the terms he wants, but if the club don’t get the money they want then he wont go to Turkey. However, it sounds like he will have options in where her can go.

Billy Forrester

If we can get 2 million for Tav we should take it, that along with him being one of the top earners will allow us more room to manoeuvre in this transfer market. Anyone thinking 5-6 million for him is in my opinion way off for a 33 yr old. Great servant but time for him to go with our very best wishes

Gregg

If we had more players delivering anywhere near the numbers and performances of tav we’d have won a lot more. Tav wasn’t the problem - being captain made him an easy target for the boo boys. Who will it be next? Danilo? Diomande?

Jack Mair

Sad how it’s ended for him cause no matter what anyone says he is a legend. In my lifetime doubt we’ll see someone rack up numbers like that again just a shame the shite roundabout him wasn’t better. It is time to change tho. I appreciate you Colin for the daily update 😂😂

Doug

Remo Freuler has not long gone to Bolonga at 32 for £4m. A good player, but still a DM with a whole 1 Goal and 1 Assist in 32 games last season. We're talking about a player who just had his highest ever scoring season, provides more assists than some top midfielders, a club captain and Europa League Top Scorer with a wealth of experience. Footballers these days are playing more and more into their late 30s and Tav's career has demonstrated how fit and healthy his body is. Rarely injured, always available. We absolutely cannot sell that short or we'll forever be soft touches in the transfer market, both buying and selling. He has a value and we should stick to it. Especially given he's one of the few players who if we had to retain pretty much guarantees a solid contribution going forward.

John McCluskey

Who is going to take our throw ins now?

David Innes

He has been our best and most consistent player for the majority of his 9 seasons at the club - the main reason he hasn’t won more trophies is due to the lack of talent in the rest of the team. Anyone thinking his replacement as captain will be some sort of silver bullet is sadly mistaken

Dan

If we can get around £5m for him then we need to sell.

Brian Rae

It's definitely time for Tav to move on but he's certainly not the first player I'd be looking to sell. Hopefully the ins and outs kick up a gear very soon as those champions league qualifiers are on the horizon and this current bunch are nowhere near it.

Billy Forrester

Believe me mate, if we get more than 2 million for Tav I be delighted but I very much doubt we will. We are not a top European league and as such the market will dictate however we desperately need the cash and we need him off the wage bill as a top earner so I think we won’t be hard to deal with plus we run the risk of getting fuck all like Kent and alfie et al if we don’t sell this year

Tamus

There's some absolute mentalists in our support on Socials saying £10M - £15M honestly kids Drugs are bad

Billy Forrester

Madness, half the support we’re wanting him gone last year yet now it’s mega millions 🤦‍♂️ zoomers

Dan

I doubt we would sell for just £2.5m as he's worth more to us. £5m is a fair price for Tav

Jay

Dijon Sterling 🤣

Brian Auld

Undoubtedly has been a success given we paid £250k for him. All things come to an end and would much rather we had forwards and midfielders scoring majority of our goals than our right back. We wish him well and move on. Everyone acted the same with Morelos as is we couldnt live without him and he’s been a disaster since he left and we had others score goals. We will be fine.

Iain Shaw

Colin with the sounds of the summer again. Top class

Ritchie Lamond

Are we the Austria Vienna of Turkey?

Colin

Always have my finger on the pulse of what’s current 😂

Rose Mcloughlin
