Hoggy is back with a bit of a different show - a spin on Rangers Life.... this time our history with Manchester United.

Between 1924 and 2010, the clubs have faced off nine times - so we look at the times, the club's fortunes, the games and the press reports of the time. And of course, look forward to the pre-season friendly at Murrayfield.

Unpopular fact but ferguson didn't leave reluctantly when in an interview with his favourite paper the daily record he was quoted in saying he heard Blackburn were interested and he was excited about it so he asked to speak to them. He then put in a transfer request, hardly the acts of a reluctant man

Listening to this as I am sitting in my Rangers top ready to leave for Edinburgh...not sure if I expect to win but great to see my team live again..feels like ages...I laughed at the description of how great the noise was before the game to be silenced in the first 5 mins...boy do we know how that feels...but hopefully we will stop that trend soon.....cmon the gers 🔴⚪🔵⚽️❤

Brilliant episode Hoggy, really enjoyed that.

Great pod, Hoggy. The last 3 encounters with Man U reflect the shifting fortunes of our club. The game in 1994 was pleasing but any feel good factor disappeared four days later when we were horsed in Athens. The AEK disaster showed that it was the success of 1992/93, not the Levski Sofia nightmare, that was the outlier. In 2003 at Old Trafford we looked like a League One side. Man U took mercy on us. The next visit to Old Trafford was very pleasing. The Rangers team of that season was the mirror image of the team of a decade earlier. Instead of an expensively assembled but underachieving side we had a limited, financially strapped side pushing itself to the limit - testament to Walter’s great management.

Good show Hoggy. Enjoyed the bit on the 1990 Man U game - that was my second game at Ibrox, but it was the first one that I was old enough to know what was going on. You helped jog my memory of the two missed penalties.
