Jim 'Jimmy' Millar or the old warhorse as he was effectively known was a Rangers great, signed by Scot Symon. A triple crown winner in 1960-61 and a cup final hero in 64, his partnership with Ralph Brand is one of the clubs most storied double acts.

Listen, as David Leggat speaks about the player and the man he interviewed 40 years ago.

Tom McDavid

My dad’s favourite player.

George Baxter

I used to go and watch Rangers train at the albion in the sixties during the school holidays. Jimmy would come in on a Monday morning with a limp or some other injury. But would still be playing on the Wednesday or Saturday. Bit different from today's players

Billy Forrester

My granddads favourite ever rangers player. He used to rave about Miller and Brand and also loved Willie Woodburn who was sin died from football, he said he was the greatest header of a ball he ever saw and could read a game better than anyone.

Baz

Great to hear about the stories of the older generation of Rangers players
