Interesting comment around Dessers Grant. A lot of certainties in there, he cost us points, he can’t hold up the way we need, he would be fine as a second striker not sure there’s really any evidence but accept that’s your view. People desperate to give credit with one hand while saving face by then denigrating with the other. Danilo’s rightly getting a pass due to lack of match sharpness but his hold up was no better, his movement was about the same and his goal chances if Dessers had missed three it would have been highlighted as costing the game. The leagues most effective striker in terms of chance taking and conversion rates last year still struggling to get any recognition is in my own view mind boggling. I have heard all the reason people give for him ‘not being what we need’ have to say none of the assertions convince me, personally I think what Clement needs for this system from a 9 isn’t available at our level or budget. When you take that on board we need to be getting more from what we have not hounding out proven scorers. If as people say Dessers needs more chances, make more chances, otherwise as it stands he gets the blame for not scoring in a team that nobody else scores. Will be fascinating to see the mental gymnastics done in some areas if Danillo is 6 games in and hasn’t given a return. Obviously I await the slagging if he smashes 20 and be delighted to take it. Be genuinely interested in what number people think Danilo needs to get to be ‘better’ than Dessers who for me has the shirt until someone out performs him. Even more fascinating if that’s under 20. Enjoyed the comment bud even if I don’t agree with all of It 👍🏻

Folks need to be careful what they wish for with the constant Dessers bashing, booing and general unrest with every touch he has that doesn’t work out. If Dessers gets injured we are well and truly screwed. Understand that Danilo is still getting back to full fitness but I don’t think he will score half the goals that Dessers scores this season. That being said Dessers can’t be expected to play 90 minutes every single game, others need to step up.
