John Smith

The wee pricks that attacked that woman should never be allowed to another Rangers game. There’s an element in the UBs that are no better than the goon brigade. Fannies are yet another hindrance to the club.

John Smith

On Jim Gillespie, loads of St Mirren fans I’ve spoke to speak very highly of him. Does a lot of work in the Paisley community.

John Smith

David I’m in my early 20s and I can’t stand all this ultra shite. They bring an atmosphere. What a load of shite. There was atmosphere in football long before ultra culture and it was better frankly

Stephen

There is no atmosphere without them these days though. I remember a cup game a couple of years ago when they didn’t attend and the atmosphere was non-existent.

Scott Corral

I would agree with Ridvan leaving if we get another left back in. He’s not been value for money and I would offload if the chance occurs.

David Innes

Other than Goalkeeper there’s a good argument it’s the position that least needs strengthening

John Smith

Disagree Stephen. Atmosphere isn’t just about drums and chants. And the team shouldn’t need extreme amounts of encouragement to beat jobbers.

David McGaughey

Last few years the board have made definitive decisions that ultimately been careless and not thought through. Speaking to others the non verbal communication from the board to the fans is the biggest issue. We don’t know nothing. Our loyalty is taken for granted. The 55 season we bought season tickets and never attended a game yet we had to PAY to get pictures with the trophy talk about not reading the room. What the board seem to forget is the 4 stands at Ibrox are nothing without fans. Do Not take our loyalty as stupidity

Scott Corral

Yes I know the injury puts a move this window to bed, if the chance to move him on as early as January we should. He’s rarely fully fit and I would imagine his stock is still reasonably high back in his homeland

Russ

If Gillespie can make decisons that gets the trading model working, gives our academy direction and purpose and makes us sustainable and gets us to 100m in revenue then I'll be chuffed. I've always held that if you can be a great CEO/DoF at Rangers post 2012 then you can be great anywhere.

Rose Mcloughlin

Hope the club come out and update fans on how the work is progressing at Ibrox..know they cant mention players they are going after but the ibrox situation is different...a wee pat on the back for the fans going there...but they are lots of reasons fans cant go..illness..disability and others some yes because they are fed up as is their right...but going forward hopefully we can see wee signs of light ahead....so far ive gave my ticket to friends who dont ever get so my seat is full hate to see those empty spaces and you know who laughing at us...we will get there eventually and wont it be good.

Russ

Clements right tbf, we've been playing offensive football for awhile. Not the attacking kind mind! I thought in the cold metrics we were brilliant, on the eye test we still looked a bit sloppy. But it is getting there imo.

Graham Roy

If we can get our money back on Ridvan then just need to put it down to another failed experiment! He went through a spell last season that he looked a cracking player but since that injury has been very average. Seen more from Jefte on Saturday in fairness.

Peter Hosie

My mates worked with Gillespie in shotts as they were all prison officers together and had no business experience at that time. They said they don’t dislike him but full of himself and a wee gallus wido. Nicknamed Trigger from Only Fools for being thick. They said he worked in a children’s home at the weekends for extra cash so he’s clearly worked is way up and being successful in the charity field. I hope I’m wrong but I can’t see him being the guy who will make us a success and this will be another Bennet disaster, which he’s got a history of as so many since his appointment in 2015. Maybe H&H can also confirm how much we owe Bennet as hearing its very high interest rates which would be disappointing.

Rose Mcloughlin

Lots of wee idiots could have done this maybe trying to join the ub but not neccessary one of theirs...wait until the facts are out..but if a rangers fan a wee ban for being stupid and shaming our club would not go amiss. But not too heavy as they dont sound like Adults.

John Smith

Oh dear Peter, that’s a disturbing to hear. Can only hope he’s changed

John Smith

That’s true Rose but if the punishment isn’t severe how do we put people off doing this stuff

Niall MacKay

Feel for you. Even the prospect of a new CEO doesn't feel like something the fans want to hear just now. We want the squad rebuilt because we are a football club and the fans support the team. It makes me question the timing of the stadium upgrade. The fans campaigned hard for it and they do it when we are a complete shambles on the park. Have a word with the gaffer, though. Sounds like he's mocking you there!

Russ

I think the cult of the transfer goes a long way to amplifying the discontent, certainly online. Whatever happened to good coaching? Plus it's Rangers, we're partial to anything that comes in for a fiver or for 5 million.

David Campbell

The manager said we won't be signing another lb. So if we do as you have said David surely means yilmaz will be gone.

KMS

It's like a lazy dependency has crept into our support that some feel we need them to run through their repertoire to create background noise, truth is they are more often an unwanted sideshow that brings negative attention to the club, 1st sign of the club, or club officials telling them that something's a no no they're up in arms protesting, or boycotting, they have a penchant for unveiling banners in support of people they know who have been banned, or arrested (for good reason) which is another sideshow, assaulting an SLO Is dickhead behaviour, a FEMALE SLO takes that to a whole different dickhead level. When people talk of memorable, amazing, spinetingling atmospheres at Ibrox....name me one that they created, set off and kept going by that group? There are none, they are just white noise in the background predominantly, and more and more you are hearing stories of them being aggressive, confrontational and intimidating towards our own fans.

Bob Perrie

The suggestion that Jeffe could be played in a more advanced position on the left and draft in a left back who defends first could work out. Maybe something that could have been done a few seasons back with Tav on the right.

KennyY

Agree that the onus is on the club to lift the fans. I for one am sick and tired of playing second best to that arrogant entitled lot. I genuinely believe that if Clement and Koppen are provided with the time and resources to build this squad then we will see the results of that work very soon. The board needs to support the manager before this window ends.

Tamus

100% we need to get shot of F'toomsch

Stephen

What’s the atmosphere without them? People chatting to the guy next to them, moaning when someone doesn’t complete a pass and then leaving after 75 minutes.

John Smith

Contrived atmospheres that aren’t genuine don’t sit well with me. If there’s nothing to sing about in the game why would people sing. It’s on the team to lift the crowd. And when the crowd naturally get encouraged and drive the team on there’s nothing like that.

KMS

Stealing a drum, or a banner belonging to another group is ultra behaviour, ultra mindset and something straight out of the ultras handbook, anytime they do something remotely positive it's UB this, UB that, but as soon as they are involved in anything negative?...'how do you know it was the UBs?' excuses, excuses, deflections and denials.

Heart and Hand

Oh he definitely was but again, it's a distraction from another minor shambles - putting up the video then taking it down. Wouldn't have needed asked if they hadn't done that.

Heart and Hand

It's not high interest rates, it's less than we were offered by banks - think it's 5%. The board are not malicious or exploitative, which is good, but doesn't excuse overseeing the mess we're in.

Chris Macfarlane

I’m ok with the celebrations. Easier to get more out of fringe players when they feel like they’re missing out. They just canny go out in the next round now! 😂

Graham Jones

When I first saw there was a new CEO on the way in II had hoped for someone more experienced at the top level, then when I saw he was going for someone in the game up here I kinda got it. They did something similar with Stewart Robertson when they first took over and he served a purpose for a period. However, I’ve been hearing things about Gillespie that raise alarms from someone whose son used to play at St Mirren. There are allegations that he was good at taking money out of the club, and that he allegedly, wanted to get rid of the youth system at one point. Apparently there was a finance director who allegedly, left to work in England because of this guy. I don’t know the man and he might be capable, but we need to be cautious and do proper due diligence on him. Bennet has a habit of making mistakes like Park before him. How he has landed on this guy after taking the whole summer to find a replacement is beyond me, but he isn’t’ in the door yet.

Ryan Stewart

Only way another LB makes sense is if Ridvan is leaving. I’m not as on board the Jefte is a winger train as everyone else seems be. He’s played 2 x 45 minutes there his whole career and was just the best player on the park on Saturday playing at LB. Good to have as an option for certain games maybe in Europe or against Celtic for sure, but in run of the mill domestic games against 10 man defences not for me. We need wingers who are hitting 15 goals a season Also surely at 21 years old Robbie Fraser is trusted to be backup, if not it’s bizarre that we’ve just given him a new deal

Steven Miller

David, who is our PR guy at Ibrox these days? Do we actually have one?

Scott Kerr

Another left back 😭

Tommy

Take the UB out, there would be a noticeable difference. However, after a few weeks, I guarantee the rest of the support will find their voice again. It was there before

Gareth Williams

On your comments at the end on the board and non attendance - I am not going until we’re back at Ibrox, firstly because I hate Hampden, secondly because it’s the only thing the board understand - ££!! Everyone is entitled to their opinion on this and mine is that I’ve had enough of the mismanagement of the club, and this is my small way of showing it. I’ve had a season ticket for 35 years btw and attend everywhere/anywhere where I can, limited now because of My Gers/ Slashed ticket allocations, so I go when I can get tickets. Hopefully things will change, but I’ve had no enjoyment following Rangers since last March when we collapsed. The promised rebuild hasn’t materialised, likely due to the cost of the rip roaring cunt they have made of the stadium. The last straw for me was last week, employing an ex-beggar employee. This board need to get a grip!!!

Gareth Williams

Absolutely, I commented because of you talking about it David. I just hope, as we all do, things can change. When you’ve witnessed what we have in the last 12 years, except for a couple of golden moments (55 & EL), to see us regressing so much is soul destroying!!! I want my Rangers back!!😢

John boag

Can you ask at next presser why is cantwell no playing B team games we’re paying his wages and is he training alone at least hagi is playing with b team

Stewart Robertson

I think you might be right about Ridvan. Fast becoming the new Kemar Roofe - when fit, amazing. When fit.

Shaun Watson

Hi David. Do you know the rules around Europa league games and where we can play them? ie can we play one game at Hamden and the rest at Ibrox?

Heart and Hand

We would need to appeal to UEFA and demonstrate we were moving for genuine reasons (ie not financial or to gain an advantage). We should be able to demonstrate it was neither but it’s UEFA so you never know.
