Fully understand our financial position but the thought of having to go until January with just Dessers and an unknown Danilo is frightening

Tamus

Cantwell is an absolute disgrace. Rangers should make his life as difficult as possible for him as Souness did to Roberts Get him on a team sheets for u/18 midweek friendlies to Dingwall and Carlisle and keep him benched Stinking attitude from an absolute primadonna who is stealing a huge wage every single week

Graham Miller

He needs help was my point. We saw in the 2nd half of last season that one fit striker is not enough

Colin Greenshields

Cammy, it's Dujon not Dijon. Pedantic maybe, but it's not that hard mate.

Gregg McKee

I think Daniel Farke bombed Cantwell out of Norwich so I don’t think they will suitors for him just now

Alan Riddell

Totally agree about hanpdump, I can’t even give my seat away for nothing there. It’s a mare to get to from Edinburgh so can’t wait to get home to Ibrox whenever that is. Also have my seat in Copland rear so cannot wait to get back.?WATP

You can tell Cammy is reining it in with regards to players 🤣 madness we are bringing players in that aren’t ready to play. Do this when we are winning consecutive leagues. We surly could find players cheap enough that would be solid 1st team players.

Totally uninspired with foreign punts, this isn’t a strategy that has worked well consistently and it’s been worse in recent years as we rummage about the worlds whoops bins. A new focus on local established or emerging talent that comes in and hits the ground running with no bedding in, acclimatisation, furniture building leave, or rehabilitation ongoing needs to be the way ahead. I am bored hearing about Julio Geordio who’s going to come in and smash it, it’s a pipe dream. I think unless this league gives itself a proper shake we are going to find signing guys more difficult every year. The amount of games we play and the industrial nature of the football can’t be attractive to a player. Their body is their working life, why come to our 60+ game league; get kicked about on plastic pitches and get constantly injured when you can play for a ‘lesser’ team in a lower league and only play 40 games earning the same or more. Sima offered the chance to come back here or go to France and we are suprised he didn’t choose Scotland ? Let’s be real, the boy said the right things and kept his options open but he isn’t bothered about Rangers. As a pro the amount of miles on the clock and the physicality of those miles can hugely impact your career. Why come here and burn out or give yourself increased injury risk when you can have a similar career elsewhere. It’s not coincidence guys with no injury history come here and get injured or those who get injured struggle to recover without breaking down. Players aren’t daft they will see this, our injury record is horrendous and the burn out from games must weigh on players. Buy local, buy better and let’s get a domestic shape and strategy that fits not only who we have available but the league we play in.

If only we could identify a local striker who’s prolific and suited to Scottish football, probably none about though…..even if they could see the blindingly obvious they clearly thought spunking money on a project made more sense than paying decent money for as close to a sure thing as you get in signings. I just wish we wouldn’t cut our nose off to spite our face and sign the local talent at market value instead of trawling the world for punts.

James McSween

We could probably find a decent striker in L1 or L2 in England that would score goals for us.

Spoon

We have one now in place folk want to empty, we have Shankland staring us in the face and hopefully Lovelace coming back. What boggles the mind is buying Igamane and the blind faith in Danilo who wasn’t amazing before he smashed and ACL, not an injury that lends itself to a smooth recovery. Boy gcould be amazing and fully recover going onto to smash it here, or he could struggle, breakdown and not manage to recapture any form. Let’s hope it’s the first one but knowing our luck it won’t be. We sign guys for 4 years and they play about a season’s worth of games, he is just as likely to end up Roofe mk 2.

James McSween

I’d take someone like Ryan Hardie back for a rotation striker. He seems robust enough and would score goals for us.

A hammer blow that Dessers said he wants to stay. His value will only go down and this was a great chance to get cash in. Nice guy etc etc I know.
