Top quality content as ever David.

Great tune choice today 👏🏻

Hagi wasn't our best player, but during his loan spell and 55 he was a good player for us. And I'm not convinced that whoever we bring in is going to be an upgrade on him when the Belgians are shopping in places like Morocco and Egypt. Also don't doubt he was treated shoddily at some point last summer too given that Beale has the man management skills of a drunken badger.

David another good listen, however when I was looking at FF I saw you had the pleasure of pissing off Slug 1 the mint, when on RST. Good on you those that worshipped him didn’t have the foresight to see the bigger picture with this (was going to say reptile) what the hell. We listen to the pod and it is very reasonably unbiased show, so thanks again, for both yo and the rest of the team.

With the loan deal for Ben Davies is it only all or a percentage of the players wages that Birmingham pick up or is there also a smallish loan fee paid to Rangers

Russ

I actually agree with the view that some fans have that the difference between Lawrence and Hagi would be negligible in this side. Both can't run for toffee, Hagi probably shades it technically but Lawrence has the shots from distance. Problem I had with Ianis is that he went AWOL during games, even during 55. Cantwell was similar and now so is Lawrence. That's always been an issue with the old days of 4-2-3-1 and the no 10's, you can't get away with it now. I just want lads who will muck in together and enjoy doing it. And a 10 who can get about the pitch!

It doesn't feel right listening to this at 11am while on holiday in Toronto

Gary

Sadly feels like the same news every day at the moment. We are linked with a player that never materialises and the ongoing Hagi/Cantwell saga. Repeat, repeat, repeat.

Ricky

Tune.

I like the standard of some of the targets we've had if they are all true but it seems we are going for players we have no chance getting for the funds we are willing to spend. I hope we're not getting smoke blown up our arses by the board etc.

Ralston and taylor get picked but not barron. Clarke is a mug. Ralston was our biggest bomb scare at the euros and taylor is not much better if any. I know they are different positions but its still shocking. Porteous too, total liability

Just seen the news ! USA ! USA !! USA !!!

Solomon away to Leeds so Rabi won’t be going there

John Smith

Dave King trusts them. And they would be a lot more competent than this regime.

Stephen

The story doesn’t even make sense. Gives this £175 million figure but then talks about a minority stake. The money wouldn’t come into the club though it would go to Dave king etc.

John Smith

We need to obviously hear what their vision is but after the constant disasters under our current leadership, I think we’re all ready for a change. And from a personal point of view I love the way Americans do business

Stephen

Americans business people like to make a profit. It’s not happening in Scottish football unless they sell the stadium or something. With ffp you can’t just throw money into football clubs these days and no American is going to do it for the love of the club.

John Smith

I think though if it’s a long term project they could build the club up. I wonder if this might also include a move to England ? Hopefully they’ve got some Scottish heritage.

The fact we are rumoured to be in a Michael Ball situation with Hagi’s contract speaks volumes. His old man is right to have a go at them, because if a player is good enough to be involved with the first team then he should be. This will leave another stain on the club, because these practices are from the past and shouldn’t be used. The reason we are in this situation with the contract is because of a wasteful culture at the club, and despite the chairman talking of going after the low hanging fruit in cuts, he should’ve been watching the top end spending, because it’s likely people are losing their jobs at the low-hanging fruit level while the executive salaries will be left alone. So, it’s a bit rich for anyone at the club to talk about players not moving on when they set the wages and contract conditions, and they screwed things up on every count. It’s hard to listen to Bennett at times because he was part of that culture, and if he wasn’t then he should’ve been shouting about it. We criticise King for criticising Park, but Bennett should’ve been warning about these things before they landed us where we now are. At the end of the day, it was executives that made the decisions and they are the only ones that seem to remain protected in all of this.

Kirk Guthrie

Honestly though can you blame Cantwell for not wanting to play in Scotland? The guy gets lumps knocked out of him every game, kicked and elbowed and everything else, while referees look the other way.

LD

Would that Include the Americans doing business at Man Utd?

Granters

Seems to be an awful lot of stars that need to align in 4 days for this ‘more incomings that outgoings’ thing to bear fruit. Personally, ah hae ma doots.

John Smith

Red blooded Americans 🤠 The kind that when Pedo fc come out with some shit about whatever, our chairman would say “dont you come swingin at me boy. I’ll put a slug right between ya goddamn eyes !” And yes I fully understand not everyone would be in to that.

Greg Blades

Top quality soundtracking

Colin Mathie

If players don't arrive by Friday night they'll be no hiding place for Clement either, since he was the one to claim there would be.

Colin Mathie

The fact Clarke still has a job is whats pi**ing me off, he shoulda had the balls to quit the night of the Hungary game.

C. J

The Hagi cartel are at it. They’ve been at it all summer but now they’re trying to gaslight everyone about what’s really gone on, now that no move has materialized for him.

Trev @JimmyBell_Loyal

Hi John. We finished that series up. At the moment we don't have any plans for a new series due to how busy we've been. However, never say never as the overlord himself as left the door open for us which we greatly appreciate. Thanks for reaching out mate :-)

John Smith

No stress Trev 👍 It was an epic series and I’m sure you guys will have something in the future
