Classic trigger happy tv tune David. Love it

John Smith

I contacted the author of the US investment article but no reply thus far

Calum McGregor spent OF games laughing at Cantwell. Weak as piss attitude. Glad to see the back of him. However, we now need to bring someone in to replace him who is above his level. Lets see!

Colin McConnell

With just over 24 hrs to go and nothing really concrete as it stands I see one in at most hope am wrong tho

Jim McCutcheon

Yes time is ticking David 🤔 we await impatiently it's a must 💁‍♂️, thanks David 👍

Graham Roy

Cantwell - Windass ego outstretches ability!

Rona Bluebell

My patience is at gossamer levels

Miguel Sanchez

Wish Dave King would shut it between constant snide comments to journalists in run up to big games and the endless litigation he got us in seemingly just coming to a close (most of which we lost) the guy is a tit

Nicholas Dickson

Does wright leaving open the door for hagi , wages saved would pay the rise and hagi can play that position wright played ?

Russ

Would love a load of incomings but let's face it, the outgoings were always the priority this window. I fully expected Cantwell, Davies and Wright to be kicking about for the full season so to move them on is brilliant. There's still a few that need shifted too (Hagi, Tav, Lawrence) but we've done enough going out to hold fire on that until January or next Summer. It probably tells you how bloated our squad was. Never again..please.

KennyY

I accept that fellow bears have different views but for me Hagi has never been good enough for us. Both he and his father believe that’s he’s much better than he actually is.

Ross Campbell

The Hagi stuff confuses the life out of me imo. He was never good when he started games he was a super sub at best. Think people are just clutching at straws thinking he’s an answer

Colin

600 grand Jesus wept who is doing these deals a five year old I give up on us selling players we are the worst in the history of football

Graeme Guthrie

Can see it far enough. Lots of rumours, links to good players, only to end up paying over thd odds for an out of shape Shankland to appease fans on deadline day.

Daniel Ward

Soul destroying window. We will be miles away this year. What was koppens plan when the window closed in January, we are stratching around begging for loans with 48 hours until the window closes and it really doesn’t look structured or planned.

Doogz

600k plus add ons, off the wage bill that will do me, cannot understand punters thinking we should have managed to get more. For a guy that’s downed tools at a second club and his character is as fragile as an 80’s MFI wardrobe, I say nice one, and good riddance.

Rose Mcloughlin

Good luck to the players leaving us...and holding my breath for sign of any new signings..

Duncan McKnight

Is it true that we also owe Genk an additional fee if he makes another appearance this season? Could just be rumours but complicates things a bit more if it's the case.

Callum Gordon

I think we bought Hagi at the wrong time, didn’t really fit the team, stuck him out wide , now the position is there for him there is just too many bad memories. I do believe though that had the other mob signed him they would have made a fair bit of cash on him , we are by in large terrible at converting potential into stars

C. J

600k in 2024 for Todd Cantwell is the worst piece of selling business I have ever seen from us.

Craig Wilson

I think you've hit the nail on the head. 18 months at the club and he's thrown his toys out the pram, shown he can't really cut it at a higher level and we are now between a rock and a hard place. Either we sell him now for whatever we can get or he rots on the sidelines and we end up paying him off because he couldn't be a professional and show some patience until he gets the right move.

Heart and Hand

Not if nobody will pay that for him he isn't. But again, making it clear to the world that you are desperate to sell isn't the best negotiating tactic in my opinion.

Ross Campbell

The Hagi stuff confuses the life out of me imo. He was never good when he started games he was a super sub at best. Think people are just clutching at straws thinking he’s an answer

David Campbell

The last few days are going to be hectic if Clement is correct more ins than out. 3 out so 4 in going by my maths. Strap in

Donnie Robertson

With 2 days to go and no targets that we are aware of how many signings do you think we can get folks?

Stephen

As much as we need a few players in I think we will hopefully look back at this window as the point where we turned a corner. The amount of wages we have got rid off (mostly for players who contribute nothing) is encouraging and hopefully from now on we start to do business more efficiently. The clamour to sign 4 players this week is understandable but I would rather just sign 2 who were actually good players.

Greig Chambers

Todd cantwell will wake up one day and wonder why he wasted his career. A talented individual on his day but has the wrong attitude to be a top player. Getting these guys off the wage bill is important. Time to move on from the deadwood. A couple of decent players in and we’ll be in a better place.

Mark Harvey

3. But only 1 permanent and a couple of last-minute loans. We need to be wary of panic buying at the end of the window. I'd rather wait and get the right players in January or next summer. This will be a 3 window rebuild.

Brian Rae

I'm a fan of Hagi but he definitely stated that he was looking for another club as did his agent numerous times. It's some climb down when the realisation hits that his only offer is back in his homeland at around 1/4 of his current wage. His dad, world class, legendary player that he is, is going full Dean Windlass and frankly, needs to STFU. Cantwell is talented but his self produced drama is extremely tiresome and he's not that good for anyone to put up with it. Hopefully we have got a good sell on included as a good 6/12 months could multiply that 600k fee 10x+. I'm patiently waiting a minimum of 4 new signings as per the manager's presser.

Rona Bluebell

I’m not telling David how to do his job, but a live podcast just reading out the FF transfer thread could be interesting 🤨

Steven Watson

Obviously Dave King came out straight away and shot down the report of American investors interested in buying shares but as the report first appeared in an American Financial news outlet, do we know where they may have got this information from, surely there must be some basis for them to come out with it.

Paul Kerr

That Cantwell fee is shocking, add ons might pay off, but wow. Any chance of a day without a nonsense.

Jamie Gilchrist

£600k is a disgraceful fee. We are simply unable to trade to the level required. Never nice to look over the fence, but they are getting £2.5m for fringe players. We have fundamental flaws in our club’s senior leadership.

Luke

Thank god wright is away. Decent pace with nothing else.

John Palmer

Another example of our Player Trading model being a complete and utter disgrace. Them across the City are consistently selling players for big money and now bringing in Players for £7, 8, 9 million which they'll no doubt sell on for big money down the track. Rangers have went backwards from the 55 Season and now back to bringing in Mediocrity. We've moved to being an ambitionless Club who are in constant rebuild jobs with no realistic capability of winning the Title for the next 10 yrs.

Stace1ofthePeople

600k or not im glad cantwell is gone. Good riddance. We move on. The reason celtic get decent money is also because they win trophies and the players are part of a successful team which we aren't. Agree to somewhat maybe the business isn't good enough at times but koppen is new in the role is he not ? And trying to get rid of deadwood and unwanted players. Hes not gonna gey millions for each and every one of them. We have got to a position where we are almost desperate which is not great when you are trying to so business. would rather get rid of cantwell for 600k that pay him to sit on his arse. If we start winning trophies and players contribute those players will be sold for more money simple

Brett

Is there not an issue with Gent getting money if he plays 100 games, as well as Hagi? Or did I make that up

KennyY

Agree with you John but would like to think those days are behind us with the current crop of new recruits and Koppen and Clement at the helm. We need to be winning this league first and foremost.

KennyY

Can’t fault his commitment mate and he was always available. I wish him all the best anyway

John Palmer

I don't think any of the current crop are capable of winning a 50/50 ball let alone a League Title which unfortunately feels like it'll be Years again. 🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮
