Thanks David, I'm still struggling to be bothered to engage with anything to do with Rangers since Sunday. Daily Update is pretty much my only Rangers content at the moment

David adams

Thanks for your dedication to keeping us upbeat David you deserve a medal 💙

David Hanlon

Barron 100% injured and out until after Christmas. If I was a betting man you would put your house on it

craig drummond

If we are exploring the free agents market and with europa league squad due to be registered. Do you think we could see something happen quite quickly as surely this has to be our best hope of attracting a player we wouldn't normally be able to get.

Granters

Barron for me reinforces why we should be going back to basics a bit and looking at talent closer to home in our signing policy. He gets what’s required from a Rangers player.

Stillsaw

Totally agree re big game players. It just feels like we have seen these injury prone, over paid, underperforming players walk this same road every year. Hope I’m wrong

Stephen

Clement would spend about 8 weeks building up any free agent players fitness etc. transfer window will be almost open again by the time they are ready to play!

Chris Graham 🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Absolutely zero about us indicates a well coached confident in our own ability side Zero Stuff I said in March under this manager it takes ones semi no bad side to expose it We are wide open , loose and holes all over the players . This does not improve any time soon it’s fucking painful

Michael

The big thing with clement is last season it felt like he understood what was required of a rangers manager and how to act. This season is the polar opposite, talking in press conferences as if the fans are daft, saying how the game could have been 3-3 talking about possession and then bringing up a result against the worst team in the league.

Brian Rae

If we signed a free agent today, you're talking 3 or 4 weeks minimum before our manager will play them. We should not be in this position. The transfer strategy that we've just witnessed and told about numerous times from February to May doesn't look like one that was planned months in advance. Questions really need to be asked because the reported pursuit of a profile like Cordoba early on to what we got two months later in Propper looks scatter gun to me. What changed in that period from bidding 3m or so for Cordoba to one in one out? Is it as simple as the new Dutch coaching assistant recommending Propper? If so, that strategy is one of the reasons why we're currently in the mess that we're in. Totally scunnered.

Colin Wieland

A free agent is a free agent because no c*nt wants them.

Heart and Hand

Not true. There are plenty currently holding plenty offers. You think nobody wants Sergio Rmos, Joel Matip etc?!!

Paul fitzpatrick

Totally agree that the Free Agent scenario is changing, you only have to look at the quality of players looking for clubs like Rabiot. In our case we are desperate for an experienced #6 who can protect our bombscare of a defence and add a bit of physicality. I still can't work out why we never signed one whilst the window was open. Sterling is a right back and Barron is a #8 as is Raskin, it's mental that we don't have this key position covered, no wonder they were able to run through our midfield and Kyogo was able to drop off so easily. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statistik/vertragslosespieler

Robert White

No free transfers please. Enough Aron Ramsays. Rarely works. Let's be patient as we've been asked. Clement hasn't had a year in the job unpicking Beales disasterclass. We were robbed blind in several OF games last year including the cup final where we scored first. Kiev away showed that we can play well and organised. It won't get better by moaning if our players aren't the mentally strongest. I'm giving Clement till end of the season.

Stace1ofthePeople

Come on rangers please pull something special out the bag and give us a bit more hope. Would like to see another few players come in ready to start. How long does the free window stay open?

Fraser Wells

Call me a cynic but I have my doubts over Matondos injury. Struggled big time at the weekend and wanted out of there

Colin Wieland

Really hope you correct and there is something there that can improve us. Just seems we midden raking a bit after failing to get who we wanted.

Alan Weir

Keep in mind how many of our supporters treated a talent like Amad Diallo. “Rubbish at Parkhead”, “Shitebag at Tannadice” were prevalent calls…and then he left. Good, young talent needs nurtured in a way that, unfortunately, many Rangers supporters are simply unwilling to tolerate

KennyY

Lots of experts among the Rangers support. Surely the club could be making use of this by monitoring the fan media live chats and inviting the scouts, tactical geniuses and those who generally know better than anyone else to join those at the club making the big decisions. I’m sure the manager could do with a couple of weeks to learn from these folk. After all they’ve brought Huntly from the Highland league all the way to the Scottish Premiership and won the champions league in 8 seasons of football manager. They have wisdom and foresight beyond their years. Give them a chance to shine please Rangers.

Heart and Hand

No Alan, I'll think you find that I was a board suckup who wouldn't criticise the shite signing of the useless player. Couldn't be he actually IS quite good.

Billy McCormack

What a surprise, Matondo is injured🫤🥱

Colin McL.

Staggering that we would turn down an offer from Norwich for Matondo. But entirely predictable. Clement was choosing Wright + Jefte ahead of the player in the Kyiv games. Another awful football decision from a club that specialises in making awful football decisions.

David Hanlon

No how many Rangers players go on international due with Scotland and get injured. Jack an example.

Dave Fleming

David, there is no home game for the Women’s team. It’s a one-off game v Arsenal, then either a final or third place against the other two teams.

Alan Weir

I’m afraid, for a vocal part of our support, being “good” means being good within about 20 minutes of a match and 10 games of a career. We must allow young players to make mistakes rather than labelling them “not Rangers class”, like every player we’ve ever had has been a Gough or Laudrup or McCoist.

Scott Watson

I think some of the big names are clouding the free agent concept as far as it applies to us Big names who are out for a payday can hang around to see what's available, knowing that they can probably head to Saudi in the worst case and it's all a bit of a giggle I'd be surprised if there were any players both in our reach and who we'd want that are still serious about their career who are going into September without a club - other than our favourite well, the perennially injured

Alan Weir

Good to see calling our own players liars and fraudsters is still alive as and kicking.

Ally Mair

I’m really hoping that Clement’s post match comments are simply to try protect the players publicly, because if he genuinely believes it could have been a 3-3 game and there wasn’t much between us and them then we are done for

Russ

Sorry but a short term deal for a Bosman is fucking frightening. The player coming in is on a hiding to nothing.

Russ

Appeasing the fans with transfers is going to turbo charge our slide down the pan.

Graham Jones

Most of Wilson’s signings were good in one off games but were lacking consistency. That tells me we were tracking the wrong players and in the wrong way. Glad Connor Barron has got his call up because he has been consistent, something I’m told he was at Aberdeen as well. The free market is an interesting market, but the good ones are usually snapped up quickly, so if we do look then we need to look very carefully and do our homework on anyone we are interested in talking to. What we can’t do is panic because there was never going to be any quick fixes for us. We’ve been going through the process since pre=season, and waiting for deals to emerge. We needed these players in early and it didn’t;t happen until very late in the day. Too late in the day, in fact, so it sadly was no surprise when we struggled on Sunday. It doesn’t soften the blow but the fact is we’re a work in progress and will be for another month or so. The performances will be patchy, and I only hope we can scratch out results when we aren’t playing well. Winning ugly is a valuable lesson to learn early on, and it’s essential at rangers.

8luenose1872

Choosing Matondo over Edozie has got to be up there with one of the most baffling decisions they have made tbh. I thought we just left it too late to get it done. I wonder if that was clements decision or not.

Derek Wingate

Off topic….has anyone my Gers total decreased even though I’ve bout tickets for every game since my last total I’ve lost nearly 200 points

8luenose1872

David i thought our new 10 was a hard worker in regards to the press etc but Adam did a podcast on the RR and had me worried because he said his off the ball work stats were the worst in the team and maybe even league. I hope it wasnt just a case of playing for ur Country at a major tournament that made him work harder than he usually does.

8luenose1872

Sorry mate but we need a couple of reinforcements badly, not every free agent is free because they are useless.

8luenose1872

One thing clement needs to change is his bloody needless fussiness when playing players. Nearly every team ive watched who bought new players have played them to some degree straight away.

8luenose1872

We have been getting cut open the same way for months and nothing has been done to stop it. Im honestly starting to think the board have made ANOTHER huge error going all in with Clement. I really hope he proves me wrong but its looking grim under his management.

Derek Wingate

What’s the point they can stick there my Gers up there arse next season….cheers for the information

Alastair McGeoch

This feels like one of Big Eck’s post title winning seasons. A squad of players on the whole who no one really gets excited about, will beat most teams in domestically, likely struggle against ones nearer the top of the league whilst Celtic will dispatch us without needing to hit top gear. Hopefully we can turn up a couple of frees to just help Clement hold the squad together this season.

Stephen

Think you just keep a rolling 5 years worth of points and the earliest years points drop off each season. Not 100% sure though

Spoon

Biggest issue for me is confidence that we are making the right signings. Really not a fan of the obsession with obscure markets and players who aren’t acclimatised to the country or league: I think it’s increasingly obvious that without a solid core of experienced players from the Scottish league (not necessarily Scot’s) we are struggling to get the intensity and bite to our play or attitude we are in desperate need of. They by comparison delight in hating us and every new guy they bring in buys into that. Our team could have been so different with a McLean and Shankland in it, a Miller or Watson etc guy who understand the league, the pitches, the refs, can take the demands of the season and get what the expectations are. We can scout players on paper or watch them in their current leagues but it’s clear there is a lot lost in translation from scouting to them running out. This boards football policies have been dreadful from set up to execution for me. The board have brought players in but the juries very much out on whether any make it long term, even the ones who play 20 minute and become messiahs. Our first default should be domestic focus, if we can’t get what we need locally then I get we might sprinkle in a few exotic signings but it shouldn’t be the norm.

Stephen Dunn

I thought the Edozie deal was off because of the timing and paperwork but if we were the ones to pull out so we could give Matondo a chance after 1 decent game v Ross County then we're out own worst enemy .

Brian McLatchie

David, assuming Scott will be making a return prior to Gigi Bacalli arriving

Stephen Miller

I do a yoga practice everyday, it helps my mental & physical state-grounds me as a person. There is no short term fix to our club because that would require a serious amount of investment. Patience & persistence. I will be the best supporter I can be, I’ll buy my ST, European package, MyGers and the strips. I’ll turn up on match day and be a positive light in the stand. That is all I can do.

Steven L

I’m listening from Las Vegas, being 4916 miles away has helped for a while to forget the shambles of our club. Good to catch up with the news tho. Viva Las Vegas

Derek Stevenson

I think the Arsenal Women v Rangers Women is a one off tie, no return.

David Hanlon

So few Rangers players actually are picked for Scotland but a certain Super Allly broke his leg playing for Scotland.
