I can't believe he's injured for that long and we don't have good cover for that position 2. These ex-players need to stop mouthing off, should have shown it on the pitch 3. What a shambles

Honestly I've never understood what ppl have seen in Danilo. Sure he scored a couple goals but he's been injured basically since he walked through the door, I've always viewed him as a liability who soaks up valuable wages. I'm a nurse and if I missed that much work due to injury I'd have WSIB (workplace safety and insurance board) literally crawling up my ass looking for a reason to fire me. And you know what? After 2 years they'd probably be able to do that. He has literally done nothing for the club, he's worse than Roofe at this point.

For anyone mithering about the Danilo situation - he's off of a serious long term lay off and has suffered a setback. Even if he's only 'out' for 6 weeks or so he'd need to build his fitness up again. Let him do that in the domestic games where the intensity isn't as demanding. This will be a 60 game season similar to the Seville run, for some reason we're not addressing it as fans. Cole Palmer has just been withdrawn from the Euro squad for Chelsea for this exact reason - managing his games and fitness. This isn't some conspiracy, it's player welfare.

Danilo & Matondo can’t be relied on going forward now. Tavernier should go as we need to go with a different type of captain now. His style of captaincy hasn’t worked since 55 season. Our new players won’t be able to progress properly under him unfortunately. Cantwell is a waste of air now. He was underwhelming and didn’t turn up in big games for us. CEO should be announced before end of this international window. If not it’s yet another unnecessary delay by board.

They’ve made the right calls on the euro squad. Danilo and Matondo obviously haven’t convinced them they will be reliable enough at this moment. We’ve seen calls like this before, and they’ve often got them wrong. This one looks more pragmatic, which is what we need right now. This is a new side and those who have come in need to be played. There isn’t;t the trust in the wider yet, so that will be the most important thing over the next few weeks on the training pitch. Once they trust each other they wont be looking around so much. We had four debutants in the Old Firm game, and that is never easy. It sounds like Bevington is letting Rangers know he’s available at the right price, but I’m not sure he knows what he’d be walking into. The fact we are still waiting for a CEO tells you everything you need to know about the current make up of the board. I’ve no doubt they are capable people in business, but football isn’t ordinary business. You can’t just write a cheque and the problems go away in football. Whoever comes in has to be able to listen, and learn what the issues are within the heart of the club. Nobody is asking for the board to leave like before, because they clearly have the best interests of the club in what they do, but they have made too many bad decisions for there not to be big changes that will bring about better results. The issues aren’t with the manager, who is more than competent either, but with those charged with supplying the right amount of resources for there first team. The only thing that matters right now is improving the first team in whatever way they can.

The fact we had Endozie in the building but decided to go with Matondo is a joke Like Hagi & Lawrence, and others before, Danilo is finished because of his injury. They're simply never the same afterwards

I think that’s it I’m surprised he held back as much in the interview. Without knowing the detail I feel clement has not managed the situation best and we have lost a good player, ok Cantwell was up and down but I think he is straight into our first team. Feel he is doing the same with Hagi not getting the best outcome for the team hope he isn’t too stubborn as a manager…

He is definitely too stubborn imo. I also think a player can find himself out of the team for the slightest thing that he doesn't like whether it is the best thing for the team or not. I just have that feeling from him but i would love to be proved wrong.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I don't blame Cantwell for wanting to leave. It seemed obvious to me that Clement held him to a higher standard than he did to other players. He was the one player hooked in the first half of a game when many others put in shocking performances and stayed in the park. The way he was treated after the SCF when he approached the referee and Clement pushed him away made me think at the time he would leave. I'm not saying Cantwell helps himself, he doesn't but I don't think Clement treated him equally to the standards he held other players too.

Its obviously not the case but it feels like players are seeing us as a soft touch and can come and get decent money then just lay up and take it easy on full pay. Has there ever been such an unlucky team than us with injuries over the last few years. I heard someone say once that coz our players play in fear of losing most weeks it can cause more injuries due to being uptight instead of more relaxed.

We have got a seriously over cautious medical team and manager, u can maybe understand why but we don't have a big enough squad for it. They aren't consistent from player to player either. I totally understand we cant risk players too much but we are ultra cautious at times.

All the injury news from the club just feels like spin Injury not as bad as thought Not a repeat injury Normal for players to get this in their recovery Very minor set back etc etc We all know he’ll be out for double the length of time they are telling us. It’s a minor thing but it’s got to the stage that it feels the club are just fundamentally incapable of telling the truth to the support. Always been an issue and it continues sadly.

You’re spot on about Tav, Colin. I love what’s he’s done for the club but it’s sad to see his reputation tarnished and I fear it’s only going to get worse. I think it’s now down to the manager to either stop exposing him by resting him, changing tactics to protect him or looking at different role in the team.

Can’t we’ll wanted to be the number 1 but showed very little over his time with us to warrant that status. Just like. Or witch he downed tools then blames the club but as ever there will be fans who take his side.
