First time I've heard any Gers fan call Dessers a " very good striker"! I'll have a pint of what Caroline is on. We'll win nothing with this guy as first choice striker. The quicker Igamane starts, the sooner we'll improve. Stop this nonsense chat about "saving" poor Dessers from having to play consecutive games. If ANY Gers player can't play week in, week out, they shouldn't be at Ibrox.

Caroline Morrison

I think his goals return has been very good. He’s sometimes wasteful and frustrating to watch but if he’s utilised properly, and not our sole forward option, he’ll contribute a lot across the season.

Jim Milne

Our record goalscorer Mr. Alistair McCoist wasted a boatload of chances every game too. If he could finish more of his chances he wouldn't be with us. If he had been rotated more and took penalties we'd have a different view of Dessers IMO. I'm not his biggest fan but he's all we have got until Clement decides to play Igamane regularly which will probably be after Christmas.

Bob MacCallum

McCoist did more than score goals. He could hold the ball up, pass to his wingers, lay it off to Hateley or midfield runners, harass defenders and nick the ball from them - you know, all those things Dessers CAN'T do. We all know Ally missed chances but he scored when it mattered - winning vital games, winning trophies. Dessers half the time looks as if he's never played a pro game in his life. It's a disgrace that we're in this situation, having to play such a " striker". Can't believe some fans ( very few admittedly) are going along with this narrative that he's actually good. He's a joke to those around me in the SJ Rear.

Andy McGowan

5.30pm is the evening surely, you don't say "afternoon" when it's pitch black in winter. How do I complain about this presenter?

Billy McCormack

As we know the reason the ref and Var didn't give us a penalty in the first half is we're reffed to a different standard as to the rest of the spfl, cup final against the pedos said it all as to why we get reffed differently.

Scott Watson

Lay it off to a midfield runner... in the manner that Dessers did for Lawrence to win us our game before last?

Stephen

It’s a different era you are talking about. McCoist was one of the best strikers in Britain, played in a great side and won the European golden boot. None of our current players get in that team. The truth is Dessers record is better than anyone else we have and for years we have played with 2 attacking wide players who contribute at most about 5 goals a season each. Thats always been more of a problem than Dessers.

Graham Morrison

Gi Dessers a break folks! He's doing the business, big game goals will come.👍⚽️🇬🇧

Bob MacCallum

ONE short pass, once! Plus Lawrence had to beat a defender then keep ahead of THREE chasing him before dinking over keeper. I assume you count that as an "assist" by Dessers?

Bob MacCallum

Yep, let's all kid ourselves on that Dessers is the striker we want / need. Let's see how that works out for us. Last January everyone knew we needed a proper striker, not this imposter, if we were to win the title. Still, fans like me ( the vast majority) have to " change the record" so that others can keep deluding themselves. I've been going to Ibrox for 66 years and this guy is one of our worst strikers. Never mind though. It'll all work out.

John Palmer

Is Dessers the answer as our only Striker, No, is he an option we have right now Yes. Clement has brought in other forwards to push him but he'll only be dropped or pulled when he doesn't score goals and currently he's doing well in that area. Having a negative opinion every time is not good and you should give him a chance, how many chances did you give Alfie? Get behind the Team or get out the way.

Gareth Williams

You still at it Bob? 22 goals last season, 9 assists 7 goals, 3 assists this season. Dessers isn’t the answer in certain games as he can’t hold the ball up but he definitely has a part to play, his goal return proves that. Our problem is we don’t have a spread of goals throughout the team! Maybe you should stop moaning and get behind the team? Unfortunately old farts like you are too common at Ibrox, not happy unless you’ve someone or something to moan about! Who needs enemies?

Greg

Everyone likes to pretend he hasn't scored against Celtic. Pathetic.

Hendi

A factor which is always forgotten, when it comes to Tav and Goldson before him, and their need for a rest is that every month or 2 they get a decent rest with international breaks. Where as many others don't. That will help their longevity.

Mark Harvey

There are strong comparisons between Dessers and boyd. Neither can do the business or be trusted in big games. But put Dessers on pens and they'd have very similar ratios.

Graham Roy

They still played far more minutes than majority in the squad. That will take its toll over time and Tav is showing it this season as the legs aren’t doing what he expects.

Graham Roy

It’s not just the goals he was posted missing in that old firm game. Igamane was on the park for what 10/15 minutes and contributed far more than Dessers had. He needs to lead the line which he is unable to do, constantly falling over too easy and trying to claim a foul is getting pathetic now. He needs to hold the ball better to help the midfield which when he does is great but majority of time he loses possession weakly.

Bob MacCallum

All fans get behind the team. It doesn't mean you must pretend a dud is a " very good striker" in Caroline's words. As for "getting out the way". How tolerant of you towards fans who disagree with you. I've been going to Ibrox since 1960 so I think I can ignore the likes of you.

Vanb bryceter

Almost a very positive pod folks well done. Dessers agreed 👍 he has improved and has scored important goals. Tav needs to be rotated until he leaves in January or end of season. Jefte looks a bargain. Barron has been immense given where he has come from and game experience. Cerny has a fair bit to go imo. Barjami looks like he knows how to pick a pass. You nearly got a full house for me when you mentioned Souttar. You did praise him but not nearly enough.I think in the last 2 games he has looked very assured and commanding which has filtered through to Proper and Butland. I've never been aboard the Butland train I'm afraid. He has been below par in a number of games and his distribution from feet is woeful. He has improved recently though I still have doubts sorry 😞

Bob MacCallum

Another tolerant fan who sees a fan giving an opinion on a player as " not supporting the team" or enjoying moaning! Yep, I've been doing that for over 60 years. Must be mad! What age are you, son? I take it you thought Lammers was a good player and supported him throughout, never " moaning"? What a happy clappy place Ibrox would be if you had your way apparently. The football would be sparkling, we'd win everything and the Board would have millions in the bank.

Gareth Williams

Old enough to have had a season ticket for 33 years. There’s a difference between moaning and constantly victimising a player who is producing. Good for you on the 60 years Bob. 🏹🏹

Stuart Hill

Last I looked you get 3 points against the jobbers in the league same as other team!! Scoring in cup semi finals and to help get through group stages of EL is a big game. I’ll bet the majority of Ally’s goal to earn golden boot (twice) were against the jobbers so they must count as big goals. I must be Horrendous for the haters when CD scores, what do they do, cheers, say nothing, look for a reason to devalue every goal , pretty sad !!!!!!!!!! On a previous point, he’d also put Lawrence clean through a second time in that same match however if that doesn’t suit the agenda let’s forget about it !!

John Palmer

Totally happy for you to ignore my opinion but shows you aren't open to other opinions. You're never upbeat and Always negative. Oh and well done for going to Ibrox since 1960. I've been a Bear since the day I was born in 78, had my Season ticket later in life and now I watch from afar in Australia on RTV and other mainstream outlets here. I pay my money, I back my team but what I don't do is make my opinion the only one people should listen to. Hearty conversations are good 👍, getting told this is how it is, isn't 👎

Bob MacCallum

Don't know what "open to other opinions" even means. Does it mean I'm supposed to change my mind when someone else puts forward their view? That works both ways, mate. Apart from scoring, you haven't given other reasons for Dessers being in the team - apart from there's nobody else ( when there is) At least I list the reasons for my opinion. The guy is good-looking with a nice smile, seems a decent person, works hard, never gives up, never seems to get despondent. So, good on him. If he weren't all of these things, he'd have been chased out of Ibrox long ago. Anyone who knows me will tell you I'm a positive, upbeat type. What I don't do is kid myself on when it comes to assessing where the team is. Wonder what you must make of the " fans" who right now want " the Board to go", the manager out etc. That's what I call negative. I don't care if other fans agree with me but I do object to being told to " get out the way" or "support the team". Everyone is allowed to have an opinion, without getting abuse. PS fans don't become Gers fans from birth. You have to be aware of who or what Rangers is to make a conscious decision. Going by your standard then, I've been a Gers fan for 74 years. If you would like a more accurate picture of me, listen to my appearances on H n H shows like Alan Bradley's Who Are You, Feeling Blue, Reading Rangers, Journey to Fame. Just type these shows into the search panel and scroll down till you see my name. Alternatively, you can view me on tiktok - Bobmac@fanofgers where I review every Gers game, honestly. Have a look at previous reports on that. I'm expecting a positive result in Malmo tonight. Come on, the Gers.
