Absolutely delighted for Vaclav

Another long term injury for Cortes. Absolute madness that we’ve committed the guts of £4m on him next summer. Like so many over the years, I like him as a player but more money wasted sitting in the stands more often than not. On that subject, Ridvan “maybe” back in training after the International break? Swear Clement said he was back in training with the team before the Lyon game?

It’s a tough one on Cortes as not sure what the original deal was for him last season as I think it might have been a commitment to buy in the summer there? But I could be making that up……just typical for us to buy someone and this happens! Ridvan is not suited to our league so would hope we can get him fit and punt him in January for at least what we paid! With the exception of Cortes we do appear to getting more robust players. That said I do feel we need some more British players who are used to the physical side of our game!
